Bagder in pants? Preposterous!
I wonder if the shop with games will be still open within hour or so. I doubt it.

uhm, what anniversary ? My wife has tolerated my presence for 6 years.
Well, 2-3 Game of Thrones episodes a day for a few days and my inner reading voice has taken on a decidedly "northern" accent whenever I'm reading something in English.
Better get a flat cap, I hear there's trouble down t'mill.
Speaking of breakfast, I had sausage. I need that energy to play Skyrim this afternoon. Trying a dark elf mage for anything evil.
Hmm... New Netherlands had an interesting shape, methinks.

Heya, all. Busy day today.
I bought Silverfall and Prey for a grand total of 3.5 pound... Silverfall is being installed now as we speak.
Meh. Installer not responding?
Seems that Silverfall has a tiny-tiny scratch that stops the installation dead... The Prey lacks its CD Key. *sigh*
Trying to do some old magic with Silverfall...
And it seems that the magic might be working...
Installation completed... Now we'll see if it actually is capable of running on Windows 8.
Nope. It does not run on Windows 8 - can't find required .dll
I think I will play a bit of Torchlight for a moment until going for a shower and then to bed. I am getting up at 6 tomorrow and going for eight hours of work.
Orthos wrote: Try googling it? Tried, a few people asking the same questions and no useful answers. Someone even asked that question on M$ support page and the answer was basic "try safe boot and reinstall".
The publisher's page does not exist anymore, fan page does not respond either.
I want my engineer class to have at least five different types of magi-tech devices.
Currently I have Cogitators (clockwork calculating machines that provide some devices with ability to act independently), Combustibles (study of explosives, flammables and heat manipulation), Galvanics (artificial lightning and magnetism) and Structurals (creating tougher materials and stronger structures).
What could be the fifth field of expertise? I am thinking of something like Mechanicals or Hydraulics but I feel that I am missing a much better option...
Photo-somethings. Manipulation of light for illusions or evocations.
Luminescins?
I thought about Optics but it would end quite narrow field in current model.
Well, it can wait, maybe I will come with something later. At the moment <redacted> is absolute priority with deadline coming in one week. I don't want to disappoint <redacted>. Then short story for Midgard with deadline in two weeks. I will work slowly on engineer now and then anyway.
Drejk wrote: Nope. It does not run on Windows 8 - can't find required .dll Is it a DirectX-related/-named DLL? If so, grab the standalone/offline DirectX 9 installer, as it has some files that DirectX 11 in Win8 is lacking that older games look for by name. Installing DirectX 9 on a PC that already has DirectX 11 shouldn't have any other effect (your old and new games will still run using the DirectX 11 runtime).
When I first tried to install the GOG.com version of NWN2 Complete on my Win8 notebook, I got a "couldn't find" error for a DirectX DLL. Installing the standalone DirectX 9 installer allowed me to successfully install NWN2 afterward without an error. That was about six months ago, and the Win8 notebook still runs fine now.
I hate that DLL problem. Have to hunt the damn things down to get some visual novels to run.

A rare creature of beauty. Should've put it back in the water where they found it. But no, let's take it to Japan and make a celebrity out of it. Could of called it Karen Carpenter, but nooooooo, call it No. 1 like its a Starfleet Commander...
I'm off to Tokyo to "egg" the local populace and summona Kaiju or two.

Which is probably another reason for its popularity.
Looked like a giant potato bug. Only in Japan can you be an isopod and be famous.

There's a name for the most uncomfortable state ever?
(There are enough Texans here that they can stand up for themselves, so it's not really picking on them.)
I wish somebody would make a movie of The Big Front Yard.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Sunday! Had a good day yesterday. The weather was awesome, got my shopping done, had a delicious lunch, and did some laundry.
Later in the day we all went over to my younger brother's house for a little family get together, kind of/sort of celebrating my sister in law's birthday. There was grilling, and beer, and the movies Frozen and Desolation of Smaug. Pretty cool.
Unfortunately, I think the spider scene in hobbit movie gave Charlie the nightmares that woke him (and subsequently us) up at 0300.

This morning it was baby girl in the bed with mommy and daddy, then biscuits and coffee. This time I made a puppy biscuit and a monkey biscuit.
Not much which needs doing today. Gonna visit Walmart at some point to pick up a few things. Do some more laundry. Maybe I'll even see if my brother wants stage his family over to visit the new house.

Speaking of Walmart, when I was there yesterday I picked up a new Kuerig - one of the big ones with a tank on the side. Now I'm gonna have that one for the house and take my smaller one in to work. That way I'll have decent coffee during the day.

Going back to Frozen, we adults were discussin how amazing the animation was and noting how, back in the day, Little Mermaid was considered cutting edge. Frozen blows it out of the water. Hell, Frozen blows it all out of the water. It makes me wonder what they'll do next.
