Cool story -
One of my older fraternity brothers, Steve, has cystic fibrosis. His older brother also had it, but died from it about 20 years ago. Years ago, Steve wrote a poem about it. Recently, another fraternity brother took that poem, changed it up a bit, and put it to music.
Very cool s+@+. It'd make you cry.

It's weird when people try for a level of informed geekiness beyond me. This chick at work mentioned the Godzilla trailer to me. So I started going on about how it's gonna be an awesome movie with the different Kaiju. She looked at me like I had two heads.
I love these moments. I am the affirmed geekiest person in IT. Everytime someone tries to out-geek me, they are roundly trounced. And rightly so.

I feel weird, albeit in a good way. My mind's been filled with mecha ever since two pals invited me over to a collaboration story inspired by Super Robot Wars and the Mecha genre in general.

Not today though =/ Today I'm home sick with some kinda stomach bug. Spent all last night barely getting any sleep due to nausea. Hoping a day of rest and some soup later will help.
I hope you got better. I've got three days' worth of posts to find out.
Thankfully I'm feeling much better now, after a long morning sleep, soup lunch, and some green tea on and off through the afternoon. Here's hoping it was either one of those 24-hour bugs or just something I ate that didn't settle well.

Morning FaWtL. Wishing ye all fair winds and strong drinks on another fine day.
My Dad turns 60 today, so we're celebrating with his favourite home cooked meal and desert. Me mum and I also put together a big, mixed box of treats that he likes, then wrapped it in wrapping paper and stuck glittery things to it. Yay for birthdays! :3

I just finished reorganizing my minis. I need more containers. I can't divide them up according to creature type as well as I'd like to.I reorganized my minis after the whirlwind of Owlcon this weekend.
20 hours of GM-ing.
I killed a PFS character every day of the Con.
Success!
I've only got 19 GMing sessions under my belt, but I have yet to successfully kill a character.

Reminds me, at work the other day there was a perfect rainbow and we all stood staring at it for 5 minutes before we realised we needed to get on with work.
*actually boss did get some cash from a client, so distributed some to me.....yay, rainbows!

I was hoping for twerking....My rain dance was finally successful
My rain dance mainly consists of drinking whiskey and falling down while yelling incoherently
I too have been known to perform this dance, but I didn't realize it was a ceremony to summon rain. {makes note to not dance during hurricane season}

So, my Mini-me was sitting at the kitchen Counter the other day, playing with Legos I think. As I cruised on by I asked "What you doin?"
His immediate response?
"Just enjoying being Awesome!"
I stopped, and having absolutely no response to that, I saluted his awesomeness and continued on. He made my day.
Seriously, I think that is by far the best response I have ever heard a 10 year old make. To any question. Ever. :)
