And, for those not on Facebook, you've got to go search for and watch the trailer for the Japanese remake of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven.

Incidently, I own both versions of The Thing. The original, while awesome and a classic, is far inferior to the John Carpenter version.

But, on a slightly more bummer note, yesterday when I got home, the boy was complaining of a tummy ache and had a 101 fever. Gave him some Advil, let him poop, and put him to bed. When I checked later on, his fever seemed to have gone away.

So I'm hoping he's doing well this morning.

I suspect it may have been a tummy ache brought on by candy consumption at his Mommy's Day Out Valentine's party. He usually doesn't eat candy.

Anyway, folks, y'all have an awesome day. I'm gonna go see if I can flense someone's soul.

Good morning to you AZ, I was just thinking about you this morning while watching modern marvels. They were talking about animal engineers and some of the ingenious things Prarie dogs and meercats came up with brought you to mind. Engineering is fascinating.

Did I mention I posted the paladins for my Campaign setting last night? Not sure if I did not as I was high on coffee yesterday (I am very sensitive to cheap coffee, it seems).

Reedit the link to cut away the paizo.com/threads/

Need to add "http://" to the beginning. Otherwise the forums auto-add that.

Places a line of cheap coffees to form a bait trail for FHDM to follow...

Yes, it's V-Day. I love you all.

Fixed it. Thanks for the heads up!

Not at the same time, I hope...

In honor or Valentine's Day, Jeff-Zilla will Stomp and Rampage through one selected world city every year, to his love and appreciation…

Stomps through Salt Lake City

RRRRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Ah, off from work today. Going to wash the Juke, submit paperwork to human resources, shop for a pellet gun or pigeon trap, and generally write on my computer all day.

What do you need with a Pigeon trap/pellet gun?

Blue cannibalism incoming?

Gonna thin the heard or relocate some squatters. I haven't decided which.

Meh. I wish <redacted> was already complete and I had some money in my PayPal account for gog price cut...

Getting stuck with development of mage.

I won't write much more today anyway as I am leaving to work soon and I still need to wash and put on clothes.

Silver Crusade

Fast zombie meerkat/prairie dog swarm? That'd be much worse than Tremors. {shudders}

Awesome, we need to add chihuahuas

Ix Ney on the Chihuahuas. I own three fine examples.

Blogger is acting stupid on my phone. I will only be able to access it from computer it seems.

I decided to take the day off ibuprofen yesterday to give my gut lining a break and not tempt the specter of internal bleeding.

Oh, bad idea. Do not do. Now I know why I take so much of that stuff. Finally knocked myself out with Benadryl at 8:30 to give a new dose of ibuprofen time to work and to take a break from the glorious kingdom of pain. Criminy.

If you shut your weather dominator off, you might get full access. Just a helpful thought.

Heya, all! Thanks for the kind words yesterday! Sorry I wasn't around after posting. I had a busy day.

And, today is Valentine's Day. The real-life group is responding to my recent love woes by kidnapping me for most of the day. They stated up an entire gang composed only of clones of my EX and we're going to reenact the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Using repeating crossbows and spells.

Not the healthiest way of doing things, but I just can't be bothered to care.

This is cool ^^ I'll have to reread it later!

The pain is more manageable today, at least. I realized this morning that i'm knocking on the door of max ibuprofen dosage and it's making life bearable at best. Now what? :/

I slightly OD'd on ibuprofen back in 2007-ish, back when my teeth were first really getting bad. I've only just within the past two weeks felt comfortable with taking it again. Coughing up blood and massive stomach pains are no fun at all.

If you can take aspirin or acetaminophen (Tylenol for the unaware), I highly recommend it instead - that's what I had to switch to when I started having problems with ibuprofen. Excedrin or a knockoff of it works great during the day, though you won't want to take it at night because of the caffeine content; Tylenol PM (or store-brand substitute) would be my recommendation there.

As long as you stick to the recommended dosage for the ibuprofen though (6 maximum per day, 4 hours apart) you should be fine.

>_<

At least in my own case, the pain just got worse until even the painkillers I could use wouldn't do anything; the only thing that made it bearable was finally having the surgery to get the rotted things out.

If that's not an option for whatever reason... I'm out of ideas, unfortunately.

I'm at 3g of ibu (per doctor) and 3.2g is the max. I wonder if I can layer in some Aleve with that? Aspirin makes my ears ring and nose bleed, and I'm terrified of acetaminophen.

May have to bite the bullet, skip groceries for a week, and go to the doc.

Well hey there. Intertoobz to the rescue!

Yeah, doubling up on ibuprofen and acetaminophen was something I and my siblings learned we could do - when absolutely necessary - when we were very young.

I did not know Aleve was different than ibuprofen - it was one of the first things I tried when I had to get off ibuprofen, and the fact that I almost instantly had the same reaction (coughing blood and severe stomachache) just made me think it was ibuprofen, and I've apparently been laboring under that mistaken impression for over seven years.

I'm curious what acetaminophen does that has you worried. Of all the painkillers I've ever taken it's the only one I've never had some kind of side effect from, and it has the most variance of dosage that I can get away with.

All that said, I highly recommend a doctor visit ASAP.

Acetaminophin has the narrowest theraputic/toxic boundary of any drug. It's toxic effect? It destroys your liver. So yeah, you don't ever want to double up on Tylenol.

I was on Aleve when it was still prescription and liked it, but didn't realize it and ibuprofen used similar mechanisms. Drugs are really quite fascinating when you don't need them.

I... did not know that. Thanks for the heads-up.

Good news! I got blogger working on my phone! Bad news! The blogger app doesn't seem to work so I'm stuck blogging through the webpage, not the app. Not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing or what.

here's hoping you feel better soon Treppa, and that we all find pain meds that don't adversely affect our liver or kidneys overmuch in the near future.
