Icyshadow wrote:Happy early yontif btw. That's interesting. In my setting, the titans and the dragons were the first creations of the original gods. The former almost killed the deities after creating the giants as their troops, but things didn't go as planned for them and the titans were banished (similar to how it went in 3.5e and Golarion canon) while dragons split to Good and Evil after choosing to either oppose the titans or side with them. As for the nature of the gods, they are sort of like how the gods are in most campaign settings but more distant, kept from intervening by various different issues, one of which is the fact that an Outer God (of my own design) seems to be sort of intrigued by the mortals of the world and how they were formed. I'm using the term "sort of" because one cannot really fathom what goes in the mind of such an alien god.
I think I had ideas for an Avatar in my setting as well, though the deities only refer to this force as Fate.
The only god that can keep track of the movements of Fate without being destroyed is the god of duality, time and magic.
Thanks! :D

GHASTLY!!!

I find myself having to change up a few NPCs and some of the encounters in my Kingmaker game. Partly because some of the players have been through Kingmaker before. The other reason is that certain party members are playing as the "let's just kill it and take its stuff" types. So I figure I'll just replace some of the NPCs that provide role playing encounters with generic monsters for them to fight. Straight up combat is easier to run anyway....

Ah yes, I had to take that fact into account as well this time around.
Three of the four players in my group have already played through Kingmaker once.
I've had things going well with the changes thus far. Keeping the players on their toes is also fun.

Lost RP potential is kind of sad in my opinion. While the previous group did have RP moments, they leaned more to this side.
The current one took the opposite path, as my notes have shown. I'm pretty sure they're going to stay that course to some extent.

My little buddy had his first day at Mommy's Day Out - a simple daycare program the church puts on. My brother sends his older daughter as well.
So Charlie did pretty good yesterday. Just a bit of whimpering when first dropped off, and he didn't eat all of his lunch, but otherwise he did ok.
We'll see how day two goes.....

Today started with undesired amount of stress. I had a great dream that involved destroying bunch of skeletons (or maybe wights) as a part of quest... The final destroyed undead was one that helped me with the quest and was to be released from some sort of curse.
Then I woke up with a back hurting a little bit. Then I turned on computer, went to kitchen to turn on electric kettle and boil water for tea. I came back and noticed that there is no net and laptop is running from battery... No electricity. Damn. I checked fuses... They were fine. There was light on the staircase. Double damn. Maybe the electricity provider hadn't got money for my bills I paid last month... Ugh. I put on some clothes and went to their office (which is thankfully close) and checked. Nope, everything fine there, they got money, the contract for providing electricity wasn't cancelled like they threatened. Triple damn... Something broke? Electric grid in the building is probably older than my father... And I could not afford any repairs.
Thankfully when I came back the electricity was back. It must have been some sort of temporary cut off or something. It happens sometimes for a short amount of time but I freaked out remembering the issues with the late bills last month.

HOLY S~$+BALLS!!! It's got stats for <redacted>!
My goal is to run four concurrent games of it.
Interested in playing? :D
Which Campaign Trait would you recommend if I want to play a Thuvian bard (with the Dawnflower Dervish archetype)?
(I've also got a back-up plan of a Cavalier from Mendev with roots in Old Sarkoris.)

So, it's fun forgetting to lock an ipod on an album when it's prone to skipping around when jostled and the drive home involves crossing train tracks. Especially when you've got a very diverse playlist.
...Especially when the sudden comparatively quiet song ceases to mask exactly how loudly and badly you were singing along with the first one.
I like the first one.

Bummer. I'm glad it's back on.
