So...I applied for a lot of miscellaneous non-teaching supplementary jobs at the local district about a month ago. Paraprofessionals, office aides, that sort of thing. Never heard from most of them, the one para interview I had didn't work out, and I was just giving up to go on and go back to subbing.
Then I get a call about a tutoring program and get on board with that. Slight pay cut, but steady.
Aaaaaand then the day after HR gets my paperwork for that processed, I get a call about another para position. I just can't win.

too late to pull out? Around here there's some kind of courtesy period where you can apply for another position if you wish.

Honestly? I'm fine with what I've got. I'm more exasperated/amused that...all summer, applications left and right and nothing. School year starts...phone calls left and right.

Nope. Para would be full-time.
Tutoring would be closer to the end goal of actually teaching, anyway.
