Good morning FaWtL,
Today we go to Würzburg, Sabine, me and my Best Man, it is a thank-you-gift for, well beeing my best man.
We will do a bit of sightseeing (The Fortress Castle is legendary and the residence Palace is UNESCO World Heritage, the Cathedral is famous as well)
In the evening we have a Whisky tasing - not Sabine of course, she will go shopping.
A co-worker of Sabine has a Scotch Whisky Store in Würzburg and will do the tasting (he works Monday to Wedensday at the Blood Donation Centre and Thursday till Saturday in his Shop

The best man had the most embarrassing speech I had ever heard. Every cliche in the book. I didn't think people actually did that sort of thing. It sounds like it would be funny, but in reality I think everyone just wanted to crawl under the table and hide. (Seriously, even stories about the groom's exes. It was
see, that is why in Germany the speech is done by the Bride Father :-)
in our case, Sabines dad died when she was a baby, my father and both of our mothers made short speeches
Morning.
Weather is nice and should be nice for a few more days so why I feel headache lingering on the edges? *sigh*

Your headache is probably due to a malfunction with the nano-bots the Illuminati have been injecting into everyone.
And a good morning to all my wonderful FAWTLY Family! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Won't you be my neighbor?

So, went over to help the Moores unpack their moving truck last night. That was cool. Got to meet LPM (Happy Birthday!), Solnes, MattDroz, and Wolfthulhu all for the first time. And finally saw Jess again. Glad to have more FAWTLY folk here in Houston.

And the Moore kids kept trying to turn me.
In order to protect myself against their holy power, I had to be an Arch Zombie.

I feeeeel happyyyyyyy....
So yeah, my party in our special extra "finish the dungeon" session last night went from near-TPK to Obliterate The Enemy thanks to some skillful use of spells and a few lucky rolls. Oh and the samurai being a crit machine.
Also they let the NPC silver dragon barbarian (Eranex from Dragons Unleashed, with two levels of Masquerade Reveler from Rite's Fey Archetypes) they had with them CDG the main bad girl super-cleric by picking her up in her mouth and CHOMP. This was after a flurry of crits that left said bad girl grappled, blind, and with a shattered jaw so she couldn't cast.

Hey, if she didn't want to get eaten by a dragon, maybe she shouldn't have been throwing blasphemies around
Being eaten as a finisher was quite simply her just desserts.
Skeleton, not zombie! ;) In a party with as much slashing damage as this one, zombies won't last long at all.

The question is not the specific kind of undead abomination, the fact remains that most cultures consider it impolite to raise the fallen corpse of a relative and use it as an attack dog against said family!

There you people go again, with your open prejudice against the heart beat challenged! We were people once, you know!!!

Aberzombie wrote: Orthos wrote: Skeleton, not zombie! ;) In a party with as much slashing damage as this one, zombies won't last long at all. :( Sorry dude, it's the truth. My party has a Samurai doing the whole katana-n-wakizashi thing, a dragon Cavalier with a claw-claw-bite-wing-wing routine, and a Magus-turning-EK with a longsword. Zombies tend to re-die quickly. The only person in the group with reliable use of a bludgeoning weapon is Scint's Oracle who tends to not try fighting in melee and the Hunter archer with her bag-o'-trick arrows (though the Samurai made a pretty impressive show last night doing the reversed-blade trick, and never missed once despite taking the -4 improvised penalty).

Never seen it abbreviated like that. Still seems really odd to me.

Got a bunch of stuff I'm giving to the Moores - old 2E stuff. But I really don't want to inflict it on them just yet. They've got a lot of unpacking to do.
