I do think we need an official ruling on that pronunciation issue.
There was one in an old Dragon magazine. Ay pronunseeAYshun gyd: An informal index of the right things to say Dragon (Issue 93 - Jan 1985)
where they are available and common-practice pronunciations or TSR rulings where they not. For more general pronunciation help, see the article "Ay pronunseeAYshun gyd" by Frank Mentzer in Dragon #93 (Jan. 1985). For help pronouncing words and names specific to the Forgotten Realms setting, see the Forgotten Realms box and the trilogy of Forgotten Realms deity books. For help pronouncing the names of the various tanar'ri and baatezu types, see MC8 Outer Planes Appendix.

Quote:Bulette: boo-LAYI think this is the only one on the list I've had issue with. I've always just pronounced it Bullet.
As have I. I will also point out that list it contradicts itself and says that Drow rhymes with row and bow. So in the end as much as it annoys me, it doesn't really matter.

Got a call from company I applied through my friend. First 15-20 minute phone interview scheduled on Monday noon. Will include speaking in English.
So cool! I hope it all goes super well for you!
and I hope having to type English to us lazy Americans all the time helps you out too! :) That would be FAWESOME!
We're pulling for you, Drejk!

Just finished my 9th level rogue for our upcoming Doom Comes to Dustpawn game. My youngest son will be gm'ing the module for us. Our goal is to play it before Gen Con. Based on what he has read, he thinks we will enjoy it very much. Can't wait.

To all my Houston Fawtl friends, y'all want to help me unpack on my birthday? Solnes informed me that we will be unpacking on it this year. :D
Indeed, my friend! I'll even bring beer. And a furniture dolly. And maybe even a hand truck (as soon as I buy one).
Edit: I don't suppose you know what part of Big H you'll be settling in?

Man. When I do my round-trip tour of half the country in a few years (after I move out; first to KS to visit Scint, then AZ to visit Ebon and my brother and pick up a bunch of stuff I left out there when I moved, then back home) I might have to make a point of swinging through Houston and saying hello to the gathered FAWTLfolk. Especially since I probably will be going to Texas anyway to visit the family members and friends I have there in San Antonio, San Marcos, and Victoria.
I'll have to work the logistics of that out when the time comes.

Solnes says the North West part, she is looking for within 20-30 minutes of her office.

This is good. I'm sort of in North Houston area. So we're probably only going to be an hour or two away from each other. :)

I've always pronounced it as if it were a French word. Basically bullet, but with the stress on the first syllable, and with a slightly different u-sound.
