Here too, unless you're Freehold, then it's party time.

We're going in the other direction over here, with Autumn having recently started and temperatures slowly dropping (though still in the 15-20 C° range).

Yeah, I had to do some quick revision in the early parts of my Kingmaker game because the continent I set it on in my homebrew was in the southern hemisphere and I forgot to take that into account when putting the game's weather into play. It's a bit of a head trip if you're not used to it. =)

Also, it is really heartwarming to receive PM here with another poster asking for permission to use my base class from the homebrew section in materials for his gaming groups...

None of the dancers got long individual time as far as I could tell.

My turn to show off a monster =) I don't have a website to link it to like Taig so I'll just post it here. These are one breed of the Songspawn, the pseudo-Lovecraftian sound-based creatures from my homebrew setting.

Songspawn, Ritardando:
Songspawn, Ritardando (Sluggard)

This monstrosity is a disgusting cross of the worst aspects of a slug and a shark. Its slimy bulk coils in upon itself, slathering its surroundings in monochromatic ooze. What passes for its head is festooned with countless pits containing sunken, cataract-white orbs that could be eyes over a jagged, fang-filled maw that opens wide enough to swallow itself. Black ichor leaks between its teeth, and a basso drone vibrates from the depths of its gullet.

Weaknesses haste sickness, silence aversion

DEFENSE

Melee bite +11 (2d6+4 plus 3d4 sonic)
Special Attacks breath weapon (60-ft. cone, 8d4 sonic damage plus slow, Reflex DC 24 for half, usable every 1d4 rounds), vibrato

TACTICS
A ritardando prefers to lurk in wait, letting as many targets get within its aura of sloth before unleashing its breath weapon. Once its foes are slowed, exhausted, and/or injured, it moves in leisurely for a kill, or hauls back the largest opponent to its lair to eat at its leisure. Ritardando like dark, dank places, preferably with deep water in which they can hide or retreat if need be, or places they can climb where enemies cannot pursue.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Aura of Sloth (Su)
Any creature that approaches within 50 feet of a ritardando is suddenly overcome with exhaustion and sloth. Creatures within the aura who fail a DC 22 Fortitude save are Exhausted; those who succeed are merely Fatigued. Unlike normal for these conditions, rest is not needed to recover; leaving the aura or killing the ritardando ends its effects, though returning into the aura requires a new save if the victim failed the first attempt. Once a creature has successfully saved against the aura of sloth, they do not need to make another save against that individual ritardando for 24 hours, though they still become Fatigued while within the aura. Multiple auras of sloth do not stack.
Breath Weapon (Su) Every 1d4 rounds, a ritardando can unleash a deep bass pulse in a 60 foot cone, dealing 8d4 points of sonic damage and slowing any caught in the blast. A Reflex save halves the damage and negates the slow.
Haste sickness (Su) Ritardando are creatures of slowness, embodying the lethargic, melancholy melodies of the Dark Song. As such, any caught within the radius of a haste effect as it is being cast, even if not specifically targeted, must save against the effects of the spell. If affected, a ritardando takes 1 point of damage per round and is sickened until the spell ends.
Silence Aversion (Ex) Dark Song cannot enter silence effects. If the spell is cast with one inside its range, the ritardando is shunted to the nearest square outside the border, and is pushed away from its edge as if bull rushed (no CMB check necessary) if the AoE attempts to move into or through its space.

If silence or a similar spell or effect is cast on a ritardando and it fails its Will save, the spell deals 1 point of untyped damage per caster level to the creature before ending completely.
Song (Ex) Dark Song are composed of living sound. They are immune to all sound-based effects and sonic damage. If a Songspawn takes sonic damage, it forgoes any saving throw and is healed by 1 hit point for every 2 points of damage the attack would have dealt as if it had failed its saving throw. It is immune to any effects caused by a sonic effect, such as deafening. Dark Song use their Constitution rather than their Wisdom for Perception checks, and gain a bonus on Perception equal to half their hit dice. They are immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects) and Wisdom damage or drain.
Vibrato (Su) A ritardando is composed of living sound. It deals an additional 3d4 points of sonic damage with its natural weapons, determined by its Hit Dice: ritardandos advanced to 16 HD or beyond deal 4d4 points of sonic damage.

Brilliant, adjusting to a new (or old) routine is always tricky. Glad to hear that it's going well and roll on payday.

And to everyone else a good day, hope everything is going well.

I dreamed about reading a collection of short stories. I only remember the final one - about the postapocalyptic future with humans being slowly outnumbered by mutants, with main characters enlisting aid of some backwater fringe group to fight the mutants in the end.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Somewhat mediocre Thursday! The boy slept through last night, so the wife and I each got a somewhat decent night's sleep.

Scarab Sages

Also, last night was our PF FR game. We took on a hag and my wizard was MVP! On his first action in the combat, he hit her with a web bolt, which put her in a grapple and let my fellow party members get some hits in on her, as well as causing the hag to waste a round getting out of it.

Later in the combat, when she turned invisible and tried to flee, my wizard cast summon monster II and conjured up a celestial spider. Since the spider has tremorsense, he was able to track her and attack. This in turn delayed her long enough that the rogue was able to catch up to her and sneak attack, which finished her off.

Scarab Sages

And to think, before the game started they were complaining that my character had disrupted the party's "get in its face and kill it until it dies" melee vibe.

Scarab Sages

Ha!

And again I say....

.....HA!!

I really hate it when a ship doesn't mention the problems they're having with a system until after the s~%% hits the fan.

Me: Well why the f~*$ didn't you say something when I was on the ship for 3 f&*%ing weeks back in December?

Scarab Sages

Anyway, off to put out fires and find solutions to problems caused by other people not doing what they were supposed to do.

Just remember, I love you all.

Except maybe that Taig fellow. He's shifty.
