Now, if you will all excuse me, I intend to begin my food-induced state of lethargic non-action.

*sigh*

That sounds lurverly

Lol. Nothing like the foul-mouthed angel-voiced Amanda F'in' Palmer singing Radiohead's Creep while strumming her beloved ukeleile It's the cat's t!+%

And I was right... The water pressure is still too low for the gas heater to work properly. I might try to apply stone residue remover once again tomorrow. Either it will work or I'll end without hot water for bathing and washing for undefined period of time.

Silver Crusade

Woah. Flashback.

In college I was in a theatrical adaptation of the Iliad. (I will give that time to sink in. If you are wondering, yes it was 6 hours long. You had to go on two separate nights to see part 1 and part 2.) Anyway, there was a fair amount of goofing around backstage among those of us who did not have good parts and were waiting for the battle scenes to come back out on stage. (I once left the theater, went out for a quick dinner, and came back for the curtain call.) We had a musical parody of the Iliad, and the name of it was "Argives!" Exclamation point not optional.

It's not listed among the immunities in Undead Traits.

They are immune to starvation but not overindulgence.

Should I start making dinner or play some LOTRO?

Silly question...

Especially that I just had a sandwich and I am not hungry right now.

Which means little in fact as my stomach occasionally spawns a little sphere of annihilation of varied duration.

Most definitely.

Yeah, lots of positive thoughts in these tough times. Remember to try and stay optimistic and don't dwell too much. Which is of course easier said than done, I just hope everything gets better - or you are able to adjust.

The local university sandwich shop takes orders by having customers write down their name on a strip of paper with their order on it. Now, either they can't read, or I have bad handwriting, because the last two times I've gone in there, they called me "Pavel."

Maybe it's the exclamation point you insist on putting at the end.

"Dave!" looks a lot like Pavel.

Although styling your name like a 1950's musical does have some panache. ("Oklahoma!", "Oliver!")

That depends on the musical. I don't much care for the one I'm closest to.

Grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches. That is all.

Take out the 'grilled' and I'm right with you, LPM.

Shadow Lodge

I've never been able to get into PB&B myself. That's okay though because my grandmother makes homemade jelly so we have no shortage of that to accompany our PB.

Shadow Lodge

Yeah and I've only ever done grilled sandwiches with cheese and some sandwich meats (usually salami, ham, or turkey).

Toasted though, that works with pretty much everything sandwich-wise =)

I love bananas, and this is one thing Elvis did I can get behind.

Home made vegetabke-heavy tomato sauce with meatballs here

2 green peppers
2 jalapeño peppers
1 large sweet onion
Garlic cloves, a bunch
2 Summer squash
2 Zucchini squash
3 cans crushed peeled plum tomatoes
1 can whole peeled plum tomatoes

2 lbs 85% ground burger
Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs

Oregano, thyme and basil to taste

Meatballs: Combine hamburger, breadcrumbs and eggs. Add some oregano, thyme and basil. Mix well. Shape into meatballs, place on sheet pan and cook @350 for 30 mins

Sauce: chop veggies up chunky. Put in big pot with spices and add a touch if olive oil. Cook on med heat for 30 mins or until soft(ish). Add tomatoes, then meatballs and simmer for 3-5 hrs. Makes a lot. Also, you can add some sour cream if acidity bothers you.

Deeply 6 FAWTL...Sounds like we have an adventuring party/mercenary group name or something...

You know when you spend too much on English forums/sites/watches too much English-speaking friend's FB posts when you write a comment on a Polish gamer (and rpg publisher) friend's FB post in English.

It's unfortunate that we're Deep 6 Fawtl. Cuz if it was a 5, it would be perfect for a giant robot team. 5 is a sacred number for combining giant robots, although it should be noted that the first combining robot I ever encountered- Devastator- was composed of 6 robots. Coincidence? I think not....

Six is the number of party members in Lord Of The Rings Online!

Unlike four in The Old Republic or five in World Of Warcraft.

I might bring FHDM's hate on myself but I don't care for combinig robots. I have little patience for transforming robots either. I am leaning much more towards hard SF these days. More hard SF for me!

It's perfectly alright. Not everyone likes giant robots. You are missing out though- a lot of the older series have very hard sci-fi/political story lines that came out of the world in the 60's and even 70's.

There have been other numbers for giant robots too. Daitarn 3 was composed of 3 vehicles, I believe, and Dairugger XV(aka vehicle Voltron) was made out of 15 individual vehicles. A personal favorite, Dangaioh, was composed of 4 spaceships- a rarity- and a newer series, Goddannar, which has similar talent behind it as Dangaioh and is seen as the spiritual successor to the series at least with respect to some of the character designs and music, combines the least amount of robots: two.

Razor Coast! War of the Burning Sky! I has them both =D

Shadow Lodge

O_O

War of the Burning Sky. I finally have found a campaign suitable to being revamped as focusing on my setting's evil expansionist empire at last.

And I've only just read through the prologue and foreword.

It'll be years down the road... I've got the rest of Kingmaker, then Savage Tide, then Crimson Throne, then possibly the homebrew Fimbulwinter story (had to cancel that, didn't have time to do prep between it and Kingmaker every week, so it's back into the rotation for later), but after all those... going to have to run this. Oh yes.

I think that I shall do something unheard of today.

Or not. Marvel Avengers just started another Spec Op.

For those of my brethren who haven't seen my FB, I recently found out that the house I grew up in is for sale. 4br, .75acre lot, fenced in, and a separate apt in the back.

And we can indeed get the loan. We'll be making a decision when Solnes gets back from Vegas.

You forgot about Diatron 5.

Ok, now I am going to sleep. Still earlier than usual.
