Scarab Sages

Luckily, we're almost at work.

Scarab Sages

Which means I better get my clothes back on!!

Scarab Sages

I knew I'd forgotten something this morning.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. Be back later, after I've fed and coffeed myself.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmm....coffee.

Damn skippy! Besides, Mark Harmon kicks ass.

he has been growling out a variation of the same three or four lines for how many years now?

I'm patiently waiting for the super nypd blue/law and order/ncis/er/csi/matlock/quincy/suv/irs/dwts/acronym show crossover.

Mhrmghm. *yawn*

I must be really spent. One glass of cider and I'm loopier than the Red Baron showing off.

You forgot JAG. :p

Also, people should stop saying nasty things about Jersey Girl - it's a perfectly sweet bagatelle of a film. Probably the best performance I've seen from Liv Tyler, and if it hadn't been made during the whole Bennifer era, I'm pretty sure the critics had been a lot nicer to Ben Affleck as well. And yeah, it's not the most exciting plot, but you know what, there's nothing wrong with plain as long as it's done well - heck, that's sort of IKEA's whole design-philosophy, and they've done okay.

And I'd say that even if I wasn't loopy from an embarrassingly small amount of cider.

Non-mint items are sweet.

*Shudders with concern*

Do you really need more creatures?
To be fair, Ravenloft is not exactly known for its variety. Most of these would be hard to use in that campaign.
*breathes a sigh of relief *

Actually I spoke too soon. Because I rely so heavily on the SRD, you've already fought a few of these monsters.

Yeah, pretty much all the Bestiary monsters - and then some, since AP stuff tends to get added before it makes it into a Bestiary, then revised if it's re-released in one - are up-to-date with current releases, probably missing only the Reign of Winter stuff.

I buy the Bestiaries more out of desire to support Paizo than actual use, as I find browsing the SRD easier than shuffling through a PDF. Though, the PDF gives me pictures so I can make tokens, which the SRD (usually) does not.

Have you seen White Wolf's 3.0/3.5 Ravenloft bestiaries and Van Richten's Guides to...?

I've collected a bunch of the 2e Van Richten's Guides. They have some great setting elements about how various beasties fit into the setting.

I find that paging through the Bestiary 2 has been giving me all sorts of ideas.

The SRD is great if you know what you are looking for, whereas books are great for browsing.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Yep, very true. I ended up finally cracking open Bestiary 3 for the first time a few weeks ago and giving it a look-through, despite having it for almost a year now.

Usually though, since I'm running Kingmaker, I already have in mind everything I'm going to use, so browsing blind isn't as much of an issue. Though on the other hand now that I'm running a couple of homebrews I should probably brush up on the available stuff in the Bestiaries a little more. Especially the low-level stuff, I'm not quite as familiar with it as I am the mid-level challenges.

And, across town, Mike's project was inadvertantly delayed when....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Scarab Sages

Incidently, I think one of the most whacked out boxed sets ever done was the 2E Ravenloft Castles Forlorn. It was pretty cool, though.

Scarab Sages

And this one time, in Greyhawk, when Acererak tried to invest the negative energy plane with his conciousness.....

Scarab Sages

Council of Wyrms is another of those boxed sets I own. Never did get a chance to actually use it.

Chicken in the microwave id done. Time for an early lunch. Heading to my regular comic book store for the first time in 7 months. Is the withdrawal symptom to much to handle?

Hi everyone

Heyah

I used something from bestiary 2 and my players did not know what it was.

When was the last time you thought of me?
Or have you completely erased me from your memory?
I often think about where I went wrong,
The more I do, the less I know

I'm soooooooooo jealous of your beauty. Now let's see your plastic surgeon fix this...

Bleh - only 2-½ hours left 'til Thursday. I'm going back to bed.

Day 5 of miserable cold....I miss sleep. Every time I try I end up spending the entire time choking on snot instead. And thanks to my issues with side effects I cannot take either decongestant or cough medicine....so tired. :(

On the bright side, my order of Paizo books arrived right before I got sick so I've at least had some good reading to distract me from my misery.

A phylactery is only useful if your physical form is destroyed. I don't think it provides coverage when your consciousness is adrift in an endless void.

Unless the "Endless Void" is your phylactery, then you'd have quiet a roomy second home.
