My old Thursday Night Gaming group instituted a similar rule. It was getting a bit stupid after a while when NOONE was attached to their character and was doing odd/suicidal stuff.

Funny story, true story- I usually wore boxerbriefs and little else during those games.

Everything that doesn't require you to have the bikini-line fixed is fine at my table. Which in my case would mean nothing that ends above mid-thigh...

...stupid body hair.

A cool gaming table needs written definitions of the differences between a belt and a skirt. Just sayin'.

For some reason, I found myself looking around the Lord of the Rings wiki while at work.

Maybe I'll get some ideas for my own setting. I've still worked very little on that as of late.

Back for a bit. Eating some cookies and drinking some coffee.

Got a call from my mom-in-law yesterday. She and my dad-in-law want to fly up for the boy's birthday in a few weeks. They called me because the wife was in a meeting and couldn't answer her phone.

I told them I was fine with it, but that their daughter might not be, since it would require her to help me do some cleaning and straightening up around the house.

Scarab Sages

My wife wants to get a maid service to regularly clean our house. I keep telling her no - that we (meaning she) don't have to be so lazy and that it would be a waste of money.

So now she claims she's on strike, and is going out of her way to not straighten up or clean anything. It's all good. I keep doing my best.

Besides, two can play that game. She's the only one that uses a certain set of glasses and the butter knives - so I've been leaving them in the sink and told her I was on strike. When she put some of the glasses in the dishwasher wrong, I took them out and put them back in the sink.

Scarab Sages

And, yes, there is a wrong way to put stuff in the dishwasher.

Scarab Sages

And, another yes, I am the one who loads the dishwasher, because I do a better job of it. If we both tried to load the same amount of dishes, she might leave some in the sink because their is not enough room. I could then re-pack and fit it all.

This is simple truth. My younger brother suffers similarly. We are masters at loading dishwashers and our wives suck at it. It's just a damn 3D game of Tetris!!!

No, there isn't. You just weren't trying to close the dishwasher doors enough.

Scarab Sages

I'm also the one who usually vacuums. And mops. And cuts the grass. And weeds the garden. And does the grocery shopping. And fixes shit around the house. And cleans the bathroom. And.....

NO, trust me. There is. And my wife is a master of it.

So if you line 'em up right do you have to buy new dishes?

It's not an issue in our normal games (currently Monday CoT and Friday KM, Thursday FWC starts next week), but since I was doing beau-coup de overtime during January I took a GMing break and let Ebon run a month-long one-shot. It was this game that we just did a lot of stupid things and ran with having fun with it.

(One of the month's games was run by one of the other players, but the guy just doesn't have the knack for GMing.)

30 mins till freedom.

Also, Dark Heresy tomorrow.

Kingmaker the next week then!!

Should have minimal overtime today.

Boss is taking us all out for a steak lunch for doing an awesome job during the January Rush.

Kingmaker resumes tonight.

This is a good day. =D

RPG Superstar 2012

Hooray, Icyshadow and Orthos!

Plans: D&D on Sunday (unless one player can't make it then it'll be my Pathfinder, still waiting for the confirmation), Dark Heresy on Monday. Assuming no complications.

Should I dress up and go to shop buy bread or should I save myself trouble, time and money and stay at home until evening meal and make shopping tomorrow? The choices of adult life...

Or should that be x2? Hmm...

Friday. Perhaps my used copy of The Lord of the Iron Fortress will show up today

I need to spend some time on Hero Lab today, but first I need to get my second sleep cycle going. *ZZZZZZZ*

I need to play with the Combat Manager over the weekend. Not enough time today to learn how to use it before Kingmaker.

I also need to vote for Superstar archetypes over the weekend. Got four of my eight already picked, and a possible fifth.

Gah. Now I am wondering who the hell is Unstoppable Higgs... They did it on purpose!

Carrion Crown's up in Icy's schedule after Kingmaker?

*Giving a wicked grin* This is going to be very interesting...

They're all going to die...

They're all going to freeze...

And after they say goodbye...

I can carve 'em up as I please!

And with that, I think I'm all caught up on the important discussions here. Time to get to work so I at least have something productive to show before lunch =P Time to close the forums and be responsible.

Catch y'all sometime later, FAWTLfolk. Won't be on during lunch, likely =)

Have a blast, Orthos!

Sunday will be Pathfinder.

I tried the combat manager but I didn't like it. I find its too slow for me (although that could be the laptop I am running it on). I keep going back to this. It's the best thing for keeping combat moving quickly. I track initiative, HP, and the end of spell effects. Everything else is faster when I just calculate it on the fly.

Of course they did!

I mean, after his intro story, you had to know there was something crazy about him. :) I think he's an experimental Jaggermonster! What's your theory?

Good luck, Tordek! I hope this window that has been opened leads to a much better job than the one you left!

I'd like to ask for prayers and/or positive thoughts. A friend is in the hospital for the 3rd time in the last month or so. She's pregnant with twins, and they're trying to prevent her from going into early labor. She's been on bedrest for about 4 months now, and is in the hospital until Monday on medications in an attempt to stop labor.

Positive waves! I know a bit of that kind of nervousness. When Sarah was pregnant with Charlie, she had some problems in the days leading up to his birth.

How early would she be if she went into labor?

Many sectors of Houston are hopping. I got an offer within 4 days of initiating a job search. I might have had 2, but I let the recruiter know I wasn't interested in the other job up front.

BTW, my headhunter was awesome. They only work with IT jobs, but if anyone in Houston wants to be hooked up with them, PM me. I contracted through them at the new job until I was hired in, and have no complaints whatsoever.
