Step 1: Reword the necessary Asian-centric ability and weapon names.
Step 2: Print out the new version on a piece of paper.
Step 3: Hand this to your players.
Step 4: Done.
It's that simple.
I'd have gone with
"A note to all those put out by Ninjas, Samurais, and Monks: Eat your heart out!" But that's just me.
But 4 steps is wrong. Thou shalt count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.
That being said, a better way to sum up your steps is:
1: Reword abilities, either for your campaign or your character
2: Tell the GM and/or (other) players about these things.
3: ???
4: Profit.
So, now that we have gotten the necessary silliness of Monty Python quotes and memes out of the way, I agree with you.
It's an extension of the old Assassin debate. "We need an Assassin base class! We need an assassin class that can be taken by non-evil character so most players can use it."
They get hung up on names when the solution is right in front of their eyes: Assassin-lovers, thy class is rogue. Doesn't have to say "assassin" anywhere in the rulebooks for a character to be an assassin. The rogue gets tons of abilities that fit the concept like a glove.
And actually, you don't even need all of the rogue abilities to make an assassin. A ranger can be an assassin, too. So can a fighter. Heck, even a sorcerer can assassinate. All it really takes is contractually kill people for money. "In death we profit!" and so on.
The monk can become a mystic brawler.
The ninja is a shadow warrior.
The samurai is a noble warrior/poet/leader similar to a cavalier but without the horse fetish.

…but…but…then you don't really need Classes at all.
Yes! Someone else sees the light! While I do like most of the classes in PF, I wish my group would climb on board for classless character building systems. Just purchase the abilities you want, and voila! Custom character!
But, if wishes were horses, etc....

My disagreement is different, illustrated by the existence of my Asian themed glaive (Naginata) wielding Paladin who worships her divine ancestress, the diety the Barb--I mean foreigners, call Sarenae.
My two step solution.
Step One: Samurai, take fighter. Take traits that give you Knowledge:Nobility. If need be redefine the trait. Take on level of linguistics and take Minkai-go (Minkai is the Japan analogue in Tian Xian). Perhaps get Craft: Calligraphy. Roleplay like a Samurai.
Step Two: If whiny little person makes an issue of it, tell them to to stick their head up appropriate orifice if you so desire.
Ninja: Do the nearly the same, only with Rogue. Buy poisons with your treasure to use against your foes. Repeat step two as needed.
Never cared one way or another about Monk, though I do like the how they've started to incorporate them in Golorian. Don't mind doing the same with the Ninja class characters by defining them as a 'Rogue'. Repeating step two works both ways.
See, problem solved.

Bah! That's for emo losers pretending to be vampires!
(I'm joking, of course. About the emo stuff. Not about that Pathfinder should never be classless, though. While classless systems are great, I like my classes for Pathfinder. It wouldn't be the same without it. And Pathfinder is more open with its classes than many other systems.

See, this is what I always said before the previews. You can use fighter for samurai rogue for ninja and stuff. I would not been disappointed without the newclasses.
But since they are here now, I look at them and say "well, the mechanics behind them are cool". In my case, regardless the asian theme (no use of the current game). So, I like them, I refluff them.
Your reasoning seems to mirror the OP - but it does not. His reasoning is inclusive, yours excludes material.
No offense inteded.

I agree and no offense taken. I guess I have an instinctive negative reaction based on 3.5 splat experince. Maybe I should rethink this.

Please note that I follow this reasoning because I followed somewhat the issue and I noticed Paizo just attempted to "make customers happy" answering requests.
This needs compromises from our part (our = customer base as a whole).
I don't depict bloat as positive in general, and I understand your feeling as a previous 3.5 customer ;)
