Changing Damage of a spell

Advice

Silver Crusade

I know that there is a way to change the damage of a spell from one elemental type to another, but is there a way to change it from an elemental type to some other type for example Fire to force, or sonic?

Bump then off to classes!

could really use some help with this.

There is no way via RAW to change "elemental" energy to force or sonic energy, because there is little to no protection from those two "energy types."

Personally, I think it'd be cool to be able to add bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing to spells damage.

Actually resist energy now covers sonic.

I think this is where you just need to make up a whole new spell!

A good place to start would be with shout, sound burst, and also the various force damage spells, magic missile, mages sword, spiritual weapon, blade barrier?,etc.

Ice storm and spike stones is a good guide for spells that do bludgeoning and cold damage

How about
Pound sand spell
d6/level force damage, reflex save for half, prone on failed save, in a 30'line. VSM. SR Yes
4th level wiz/sor 5th level cleric

As does silence.

OK guys I was just thinking there might be a spell or feat I had missed from a chronicle or adventure path.

Thanks again!

Sound reasoning.

There was a feat in 3.5 that allowed you to change a spells damage from one elemental type to another. I don't think it exists in Pathfinder.

It's a metamagic called elemental spell. Or you can be a wizard, some have school powers to do that.
