I did not.

In any event, whether or not that amount of treasure is right for your game isn't something I can tell you. Determining what the appropriate amount of treasure to give out is something that each GM more or less has to decide on his own. Personally... I give out about twice the amount of treasure the core rules suggest, since PCs often sell items they can't use and also often use money for things other than shopping.

It's coming out in 2103. It'll have all the minor gods... including the 329 we haven't yet invented.

Yeah, I was trying to determine what is the appropriate amount of treasure for Golarion game. I know what is stated in the Core Rules, but I wanted to know how do you handle it in your games, so I went giving you examples. So, double the amount. Thanks for you patience.

Huh. That sentence is under Fear but not under the separate Fear conditions in the glossary. That's not the way my DM's been running it, obviously. We can't do anything but run away for 2d4 rounds, and then have to spend the same amount of time running back, thus missing the whole encounter.

The glossary is that, a glossary, a recap of important parts of the rules, but not the main source of the rules. It is a handy reference tool.

When there is a specific section speaking about a effect like fear, the specific section should supersede or at least integrate the glossary. Point your GM at page 563 of the Core rulebook, it is possible he has forgotten that piece of the rules. If not, at least you are now aware that he is making fear effects more powerful than intended.

When I win the lottery/and or have a secretly filthy rich relative leave me billions of dollars in his/her will, can I hire Paizo to update and release Curse of the Crimson Throne with PFRPG rules?

On the same note, excluding Runelords (as it's already being done), what 3.5 AP would you like to see updated to PFRPG rules?

Just a short 91 years to wait for this!

James can we get the "Sun Orchid elixirs for Dummies Handbook" before 2027? And will that be part of the regular subscription?

Did you read and/or do you watch A Game of Thrones? If so, who is your favorite character? My bet would have to be

I am 99.99999% sure that is not the intent.

So... are we certain that all four Starstone-ascended deities are human? I mean... Norgorber. Secrets. No record of his mortal life.

Sure, he could be a human, but that's so obvious! Must be a cover. More likely a halfling. Or a tiefling. Or something lingish. "He" might be a lady any-or-all-the-above. Or a mind flayer who snuck past the lawyers, though that's much less likely.

...and now the Skinsaw Men are going to come for me, aren't they?

Dark Archive

why are so many LG monsters live in deserts? (pheonix, shedu, gold dragon, ect), what makes deserts so attractive so LG monsters?

Silver Crusade

Because if the powerful LG monsters lived in areas full of human habitation, they would just solve all the PCs problems for them?

Is there a Nursery Rhyme for the Red Mantis Assasins? It seems like they should have a rhyme. or at least a song. Not for them to sing (like goblins) but like the Das Korvut rhyme in Burnt Offerings, or the Attic Whisperer's rhyme in the same book. I really liked those rhymes.

So is there a Rhyme for the Assasins of the Red Mantis?

Actually, more general questions, Will there be more awesome rhymes forthcoming soon?

The first one's a Lisa question.

That said... I'd actually rather update Second Darkness, personally—I still quite like that AP, but there ARE a few "issues" with it that I'd like to address... or perhaps completely rewrite.

I've read all the books in the series. I watch the show. I own some of the Green Ronin RPG materials for the game. You might say I'm a fan of the setting.

My favorite characters, if I had to only pick 5, and I suspect 4 of those are pretty obvious choices.

Arya Stark
Tyrion Lannister
Jon Snow
Daenerys Targaryen
Asha Greyjoy

I would be curious to see a list that breaks down where the LG monsters live, to find out if indeed deserts are their favorite.

I'm sure there is... but not one that we've published yet.

Now and then, yes. Not everyone can write them, though... I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to those things and in almost every case, I either just delete them or re-write them entirely. Rich Pett's pretty good at them, though.

Assuming d20pfsrd's Monster DB is correct, there are...all of 2 LG creatures listed with Desert being an environment.

Expanding to just look for good creatures in the desert, I found only 18.

I want to write out a campaign setting of my own for PFRPG. I've invented worlds before but only very haphazard thrown together, basically just a map and city names. This time i want to do it for real. With unique variatons of races, history, creation story and everything.
Where would you suggest starting to write such a thing. Establish states in present day and then build history and creation on that. Or start at 0 with the creation of the world and see where it leads?

Extreme environments don't tend to birth a lot of altruism.

I think that is incorrect,

In harsher environments, community is more important than oneself, thus more altruism.

And to actually put the list together...

Archons (general): any (Heaven)

Blink dog: temperate plains or forests

Couatl: warm forests

Bronze dragon: temperate coastlines

Gold dragon: warm plains

Silver dragon: temperate mountains

Sky dragon: temperate or warm mountains

Flumph: any land or underground

Zuishin kami: any

Kirin: any

Lammasu: temperate deserts

Lar: any

Guardian Naga: temperate plains

Shedu: warm deserts

Grand Lodge RPG Superstar 2015 Top 32, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

So mostly just anything temperate, then?

Right, back to questions. Which Pathfinder Monster is the most Delicious?
And for Bonus points, how is it best prepared?

I would suggest starting small. Start with a town the size of, say, Sandpoint, and start filling in the surrounding regions. Invent enough deities to keep that region interesting. Then go from there.

As new topics suggest themselves, feel free to skip around, but by starting small and building up, you won't overwhelm yourself as quickly.

Reefclaw.

With the ignorance that it's actually intelligent, because once you realize you're eating something that thinks and plays and has emotions... it gets weird.

(NOTE: This also applies to octopus.)

Not Brienne? The others are, oddly enough, my favorites, too. Though Tyrion, is, frankly, awesome in the show, particularly with Peter Drinklage's portrayal.

Brienne is cool... but she can't hold a candle to the 5 I listed.

Can the Black Blade granted a Blade Bound Magus be futher enchanted with perminate properties like spell storing?

James,

Was there some particular reason the Samurai was given (3d6)x10 gp starting wealth, like the barbarian, instead of (5d6)x10 gp starting wealth like all the other martial classes (including the cavalier which it is a variant of)?

Not being the one who wrote those rules, I can't say if there was a reason or not. If there WAS a reason, my guess would be that samurai aren't supposed to care that much about money.
