That is, in fact, what devils are (more or less).

There's a big difference between fallen angels and angel/devil hybrids.

There's a vast gulf of difference between something that sings a song because it knows the song before hand and a whole group of people spontaneously bursting into song instead of regular dialogue.

That's a very good question. It's not canon... but I would be tempted to say Zagig was Drelnza's father. I'd have to double check the timeline to confirm that, though...

We DO know that Drelnza is human, though, which means her father, like Iggwilv, was human. So that rules out Graz'zt.

I am NOT trying to hijack...but I totally agree with James here. Zagig makes a great, if not logical choice. As far as 'canon' goes, I am not sure it has ever actually been determined.

I remember hearing once of a DM determining that the father was actually Tsojcanth, the alleged priest-king what-have-you the caverns were named after. Apparently he had something to do with banishing Tharizdun.

A good bet to get more weigh in would be to skip over to canonfire and ask that bunch.

Why was swallow whole not included in the list of druid ability's for wild shape/beast form? I'm asking because the ability fits the flavor of one of my characters. Was it a balance issue?

It's a logic issue. What happens if a halfling druid wildshapes into a tyrannosaurus, swallows an ogre, and then one round later, while the ogre is still alive inside of him, he reverts to halfling form?

Not something we really wanted to mess around with.

Breath of life should have been called cure deadly wounds.

And I wish there was a table of the various types of bonuses and how they stack. That table finally gets into print in Ultimate Magic, at least!

Is there ever going to be a "Poetry of Golarion" book or something like that? I'm thinking sort of a Pathfinder Tales book which is a gathering of poems, but it could even be something different, with poems grouped by race, faith, or different criteria (I would very much like to read poems written by Lichs or Rakshasas, false epic-like prophecies by Devils, poetry of the Nymphs, of the Red Mantis Assassins, death-chants of the Daemons, legendary hymns of the Angels... and so on, you get the idea).

That's an interesting idea... we've certainly had poetry show up in our products before, and Wayfinder's had some pretty excellent poetry as well. Not sure an entire book of poems is something that would ever get greenlit, as intriguing as that might be to some of us.

Hopefully, yeah. Those things are among the more difficult blog posts we create, to be honest. It's one thing to hammer out a few paragraphs about some art or some behind the scenes stuff, but it's quite another to actually create content. And since blog posts often get forgotten or whatever until the last second... usually there's just no time to do something that requires several hours of work.

Anyway, at this point, I think I'm just gonna write the last three myself. Maybe one of these nights when I can't get to sleep or whatever.

I would LOVE to do a Lovecraft monster book. And we do revisited books like two or three times a year. So at some point, I think chances are pretty good that those two will meet.

As for killing iconics for the art for "Undead Revisited," I just picked the 10 what I think needed killing. In some cases, the undead in question made sense to want to kill specific iconics. But in others, I just wanted to lash out at specific bearded characters.

Shackled City: No real metaplot; Chris Youngs an Chris Perkins came up with the basic idea but the direction of the adventure path was kind of organic and left to the writers.

Age of Worms: Erik Mona.

Savage Tide, Rise of the Runelords: Me

Curse of the Crimson Throne, Second Darkness, Legacy of Fire, Council of Thieves, Kingmaker: Me and Wes.

Serpent's Skull: Me (this was about the point where Wes started doing a lot more manager stuff).

Carrion Crown: Wes.

Jade Regent: Me, with Rob helping (Rob gets to tackle the one after this!).

Once the adventures start coming in, though, the developer often does a fair amount of additional writing or rewriting for adventures. Usually, this isn't that much, not more than a few thousand words spread out through the whole thing. Sometimes, though, an adventure requires a lot more rewriting, at which point the developer generally (but not always) takes a co-author credit.

Carrion Crown is the first AP since the start that I didn't do the outline to, and I only developed the first one. Rob and Wes are carrying the show there.

It's probably already been asked, but any thoughts of having an entire AP set in the other planes ala "Lost in Space"/ST: Voyager where the 1st level PCs have to struggle to get back to Golarion while dealing with level-appropriate outsiders on their home turf.

Ah. Little more clarification:

1st level PCs somehow find themselves on the Outer Sphere (The Boneyard?) or one of the myriad demiplanes (First World?). To get back home, they have to travel through the various planes where they discover a long-dead evil is rising and, coincidentally, to get back home, they must defeat said evil as well.

Basically it's a campaign setting for Call of Cthulhu. Delta Green is the name of a conspiracy within the US government dedicated to fighting the Mythos horrors. Lots of critical acclaim, but it's never really been one of my favorites.

Outsiders are skewed very heavilly toward the higher CRs. This is because, traditionally, the outer planes are where folks go once they "outgrow" the material plane.

As a result, a low level planar adventure is kinda tough to build.

More to the point, though, if we do an outer planar adventure, we have to use a lot of space and energy and time detailing wherever it is the adventure takes place. Setting adventures in the Inner Sea region, that's not as big a deal, since we have the Inner Sea World Guide and lots of support books already.

And finally... since we HAVE put so much work into the Inner Sea, we want to make dang sure we get our money's worth out of it.

All reasons why we aren't going to be doing a plane-hopping AP anytime soon.

Yup; as Kthulhu mentioned, it's a setting created by Pagan Publishing, set in the modern day. I happen to really like it. It's a lot edgier even than what Chaosium does, which is saying something. Good times.

And yup; we've done several "Meet the Iconics" posts for our iconics. All you need to do to get them is just type "Meet the Iconics" into the search window here on our website.

Delta Green is phenomenal, and has been an obsession of mine for years. Just finished a 2 1/2 year-long campaign of DG and, given the right group, I suspect I could play that game forever and never get bored.

So any Word on the Ultimate Combat Play-test 2.0 ... is it possibly going to be out in this week ... or later down the road? And is it going to be for the Gunslinger only or is it going to include new versions of the Ninja and Samurai as well ???

DG is tiny and outnumbered by bad guy agencies and cults. It's more X Files (though it predates that show, actually) than CSI: or The Unit or some such, since the organization is cell based. Anyone who likes DG, however, might like the more structured world of The Laundry novels. (Also made into a game by Cubicle 7). Author is Charles Stross...

You have read them, James, right? Good stuff. Best Summoner archetype I can remember...

So basically it's like InNominee. The Bands of Demonium were originally fallen Angels of their opposite Choirs, but ArchDevils can create totallynew Devils by binding the requisite Forces when they feel the need to make the investment. One of my favorite Bands where the Habbuk... the fallen versions of the Dispassionate Elohim. They actually BELIEVE they are doing Gods work which includes scourging those other "False" Angels.

Not even Lovecraft was a Lovecraft purist. Sure, there's a lot of crap Lovecraft pastiche and clutter out there, but there's also a LOT of really great mythos stories and products that expand what Lovecraft was doing.
