Just as an FYI, Ben and I are currently trying to figure out what's up with the conflicting horse stats in the PRD:

Spoils: Trull Raiders
- 2 mwk longswords
- 2 mwk heavy wooden shields
- 2 mwk studded leather armors
- 2 large greataxes
- 2 large battle axes
- 2 large longswords
- 1 large falchion
- 1 large trident
- 1 large warhammer
- 1 amulet of natural armor
- 1 horn of fog
- 6 potions (in a crate marked as 'healing' near the dead berserkers)
- 1 longship
- 24 oars (14 broken)
There is also a great deal of coin, jewelry, and other valuables plundered from a town that the raiders destroyed a few days earlier. Alis and Yvonne are both of the opinion that the slaves could probably use this more than any of you, or the Drakes, but if you want it, your shares would be 120gp apiece.

Malandraenas |

Regarding loot, I'd say return those items which are one of the slaves to them. If magical and useable items are not already owned, we should hang onto them. that amulet would go well on anyone other than Mal, really. If we're really feeling charitable, we could sell off the remaining items and distribute it to the slaves to give them some potential rebuilding money.
those are my thoughts, anyway.

Priyya Surya-ka-Vahaak |

OK, so here's what I'm thinking as a greedy player...
Give the ex-slaves the gems, jewelry, and cash to rebuild their lives.
If anything else is a personal belonging of theirs - they get those as well.
Farmers don't need MW weapons so 'no' on giving them those.
We take the amulet, horn (a great tactical tool in a lot of situations), and a few or all of the potions.
All the weapons, etc. we don't want - we sell. Frankly, I think we would all like to upgrade our magic or masterwork items and CASH is required.
The boat could fetch a good price but we don't have time to sell it I expect. If the Drakes want it for sale or otherwise, it sounds good to me. We could haul it up on shore and they could pick it up on their way back. Similarly if the Drakes want a share of the items we sell - I have no issue with that. They earned it.

Laithoron |

Works for me. Yvonne and Bajala are happy to claim the longship as compensation and to leave the rest in your hands. She and the other Golden Drakes nod approvingly at your altruism in returning the gold looted from the plundered town. The freed Estorians are also grateful for not only their liberation but the means to start rebuilding.

Laithoron |

The amulet is already pre-identified (I figured you'd handle it on-the-road easily enough). It's an amulet of natural armor +1.
The other magic item is a horn of fog.

Malandraenas |

OK, so everyone but Mal could use the Natural Armor boost... the shame is, Mal is the guy who needs an AC boost the most. Hmmm...
Mal what are your purchase plans for magical armor - got anything or any upgrades on your list? If so, how much cash do you need?
The highest priority thing mal wants on his current armor is the Wild enhancement followed by upping its enhancement bonus. Once he gets Wildshape, that's gonna be his primary combat option, so getting to use his armor in said form will be hugely helpful. If the game makes it to higher levels of play, he could switch from magical Wild Dragonhide Breastplate to magical Wild Dragonhide Plate, but that's very long-term.
Much of my other wanted items are craftable by me, given time and resources. Primarily being Druids Vestments and an Amulet of Mighty Fists to get damage boosts on my natural attacks.
Laith... would you like us all to put up a wish list somewhere? (As Lureene has done.)

Laithoron |

While I can't update the inital post for the threads, we could each add to the menu bar at the top of our character sheets and include links to a party wishlist and loot list. I can also add links to those in the menu bar that appears in the party tracking list I have for HP and such.
If you guys could paste the links in here, that would be great.
FWIW, unlike character profiles, lists don't have (seemingly) limitless space. So I'd suggest keeping party-based tracking info (wishlists, loot logs) on a separate list from your own personal ones.

FWIW, I'm actually enjoying the argument that Alis and Mal are having at present. I also enjoyed Priyya being calm and patient too and Lureene getting emotional. It all 'fits' and seems realistic given everything that's gone down.
I don't have any problems with it thus far.

Priyya Surya-ka-Vahaak |

RE: Mal and armor...
So what I'm thinking about is how to divvy up items and cash equitably. For instance, let's say Priyya ends up with the Amulet. It makes sense that she would take less or none of the cash made on the sale of the weapons and whatnot so everyone else gets a larger cut of those monies for purchasing their own goodies. I know there are some methods mentioned in the book or the books for 3.5 that lay out these kind of systems. But that could get kind of convoluted and be a logistical headache.... if Bob gets three CLW potions, and Frank gets the Trident of Fish Command worth x, while Nate is strictly taking cash... :p
So I'm trying to figure out if there is a better way to do it so that people get what they need without us having to resort to an overly cumbersome system.
Adjunct to this... I would like to see Mal's AC higher so Priyya is willing to shoot cash in his direction (as she gets it) to pump up his defenses. It may delay her getting some goodies but that really doesn't concern me too much.

Well, given all the fiery, passionate personalities, Priyya figured less pyrotechnics were better in this crowd. :) Looks like she'll HAVE to spend a point on Diplo now...

I am also looking to boost Mal's AC, but being wildshaped in Wild armor will be the first major leap in this direction.... getting to keep his +7 to AC on top of his natural armor bonus and dex.
Here's usually my take on group loot in these games. I'm preferable to using each piece of gear to the group's best use. I'm not as concerned with totally equitable loot distribution because that might really not be in the group's best interest.
My vote would be that we hand out (or sell) each item as it comes - based on the needs of the group. If we realize someone's getting left out, then we can make a concerted group effort to buy, find, or create something for them.
Which brings me to my 3rd point, Mal has Create Wondrous Items, and while there are a number of things he'd like to make for himself, he'd be happy to make items for other group members as well. We just need the cashola and down-time. So, let's rob a bank before we get on the boat. :D

Priyya Surya-ka-Vahaak |

OK, so thoughts on divvying up the goodies we currently have?
We could sell the CLW potions if we choose to rely on Priyya's bursts and spells for the lion-share of healing. Personally, I think that is a bit too defensive of an approach to combat - since P won't be inflicting damage on anyone when burst healing - but if you guys want to play it that way, OK.
If we don't sell them, I think Lureene should carry one or two CLWs since she is the only one without healing spells. Similarly, if Mal wants to swap out his CLW spell for something else and instead carry a few potions (or potions in addition to a CLW spell given the amount of damage he has been taking), that makes sense to me. While Felmor is along for the ride, he could definitely stand having a CLW or two. Having his GF heal him up all the time must be embarrassing. :D
Horn of Fog - pshhh - anyone could put this to good use at the right time and place. If Alis is going to be skipping around the battlefield and snooping... she's a likely candidate for it. Mal would be the other obvious choice I think. If either of them get in serious trouble, they blow the horn and retreat through the fog... and we kill whatever stumbles through the fog after them. :)
Amulet of AC - the boutique item - anyone but Mal could benefit. If Alis is going to be front-lining/snooping all the time, she's a reasonable candidate. She also has the best AC already so the amulet would make it 'more betterer'. Lureene has the lowest AC so the benefit there would be obvious. So far, she's been able to stay out of trouble but how long can that last? MWhahahahahhahahahaa... oops slipped into DM mode there for a sec. Priyya as the 'front/middle' could also use it since she does draw heat at times. The +1 bump would put her close to Alis' AC. Of course, Priyya already has magic bracers which I could spend money trying to pump up. Hmmm....
Thoughts guys?

Malandraenas |

Give the horn to someone else... i have Obsuring Mist prepped pretty much all the time for just this occasion.
Regarding the Amulet. I say either Priyya or Lureene... with pref. going to Lureene. Anything taht shifts her from an 'auto hit' to a 'probable hit' would be helpful.
i'll take a potion or two... those are good utiltiy.

Priyya Surya-ka-Vahaak |

Laith: Priyya has HUGE, SECRET, plans for her cash so don't tell the other players... :)
Priyya's plan is to butter the cat up with the haunch and HOPEFULLY get her in a favorable enough mood to allow Priyya to curry comb her fur.

Lureene Ourson |

Shopping List
Ok Lureene has picked a shopping list of scrolls she would like to purchase. Laith, let me know if these spells are available:
- Color Spray
- Grease
- Inhibit (SC pg123)
- Lesser Orb Acid (SC pg150)
- Sleep
- Vanish
Assuming all of these scrolls are available for purchase, the the cost is 25 gp per scroll, or 150 gp total. She would like to scribe all of these scrolls in her spellbook, so that costs another 60 gp. The DC is 16 for all of the scrolls, except for Inhibit and Sleep, which is DC 14.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Color Spray
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 Grease
1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 2 = 28 Inhibit
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Lesser Orb Acid
1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 2 = 9 Sleep
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Vanish

Laithoron |

For simplicity's sake, I'll just use the same roll for understanding the spell as for scribing it.
Lureene has little problem finding a trio of magecraft students who happen to have those spells in their spellbooks. It is a bit hard to concentrate due to the fact that the young men keep fawning over her, but they don't actually charge her anything to leaf thru their spellbooks at a local cafe.
When Alis shows up at the same shop to catch a bite to eat, they practically pass out. Mal has the feeling that only his grim, shadowy self manages to shut them up at all.
Seeing that her winged friend is having trouble with a few, Alis does a bit of shameless flirting to distract the young lads and successfully cajoles them into scribing the three Lureene didn't quite get onto scrolls for her.
Gold: -105 (L only ends up paying 75 for Color Spray, Lesser Acid Orb, and Sleep plus 30 for the three she was able to transcribe successfully)
At the end of the multi-hour session, the blondes send the teenagers on with hugs, kisses, and one hell of a story to tell to their classmates. It would be well into the next day before they figured out who it was they spent the afternoon rubbing elbows with...

Malandraenas |

Here' swhat i'm thinking for Mal's cash. Most of his next items he'd actually like to make:
(this list is in order of priority)
Druids' Vestments
Amulet of Mighty Fists
Boots of Striding and Springing
Cloak of Resistance
Headband of Wisdom
So, with his money, he'll spend the next few days scouring the city for the reagents and components necessary to create them himself. He doens't have the cash to craft any of them now, but he'll get as close as he can on the first item, then try to buy up the rest of the required resources as the funds become available. With his skill in both Knowledge (Nature), Spellcraft, and Survival, he could also try to scavenge the rest of the reagents in the wild if it became necessary.
What do you think of this, Laith?
If it's cool, he'll spend 400g on reagents/components towards the Druid's Vestments (which will take the form of a brown leather vest with stylized depictions of hunting animals on it once it's actually created, so the vest itself will be one of the first items procured/created in town.) He'll start wearign the vest now, and it won't be an actual Druid's VEstment til he has the resources/time to "craft" the enchantment into it.

Laithoron |

The easiest wares to come by will be the fabric for the cloak, and the the leather vest itself. Crafting the amulet will be achieved most easily by finding a gem of suitable value as a base from which to work.
To reduce the gold costs, we can use a method like what we've got going on in Arcadia (i.e. deriving 'treasure' from the bodies of monsters and such). For the vest, special dyes and oils could be used and perhaps a tithe to a druid's circle at which to perform the enchanting. There's just such a circle on the outskirts of Drellin's Ferry actually.

Malandraenas |

Oh, i guess I wa thinking he'd actually do all the work himself, and he was just looking for all the materials. I mean, he does have all the magic in himself to get it done.
The other stuff i'm fine with. It's all the "eye of newt" stuff that he's looking for now. (at least, that's what i meant my earlier post)
