…from any of the ZOMG X is broken!!! It only takes one person to ruin the group's fun.

The edition war still blazes…it has just become more subtle.

Sovereign Court

Fail.

I learned the true meaning of Christmas.

Fixed that for you.

- The pro/con psionics debate can be as heated as an edition war.

- Ponies can be lawyers.

Well, only after a nice vinegar and water marinade...

Or at least a bath.

The Exchange

Really thick skin.

That's not true!

I don't, but I do have a book given to me by a robot entitled "What the hell is Quanza?"

That's not true!

You're not arguing right.

I have learned you are all not evolved enough to handle my subtle brilliance. So fnck off.

Grand Lodge

Not that being genuine is what this Thread's all about but, honestly, I learned that internet communities weren't exclusively full of idiots and losers.

Wait, that may sound angry.

I never went on the internet except for research before I got really bored one summer and checked out the website of the company that sent me my beloved Dungeon mags.

And now I'm part of an internet community where before I would have (in ignorance) looked down upon those who actually "play" on the internet.

Liberty's Edge

I can be closer to people I've never met than persons I've known from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Oh, and that these boards are the closest thing I've ever seen to a real life Shadowland/Jackpoint.

Edit: Dibs on FastJack.

That people play RPGs for vastly different reasons than I do.
Different play styles are valid.
A RPG company can do quite well selling adventures.
CJ needs a really thick skin.

Yes. I don't think that glass forms an effective protection for your brain. I mean, Amberzombie could just lift the lid and…well…you figure out the rest.

*snort*

Just had the mental image of AZ reaching into the jar and CJ 'swimming around', trying to get away from him.

I learnt that gish is a bad word.

I learnt that poodles look like llamas.

I learned that people have foul mouths.

Grand Lodge

Gish may be a bad word but at least it's deserved -- unlike sh**, fu** and some others which are bad for no reason.

And at least Gish is accurate, unlike Magus, Vanguard and some others that are just lame attempts to rename Gish.

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Grand Lodge

No, just yours.

Silver Crusade

My mouth, or my mother's? Or both? Wow, you get around.

Dark Archive

I learned nothing!!!!!!

Yes it is gishtastic, is it not?

I want to be a gish. Just like my father before me!

So be it....gish.

I learnt that people will create a new allias just to keep a joke going.

Mr. Fishy learned that if you piss off enough people you can get your own thread. Thanks guys!

Mr. Fishy also learned that "Tier Fishy!!!" is a viable arguement.

Shadow Lodge

New?!

I learned;

1. basic formatting

2. of the Elric saga (thanks to whoever suggested it)

3. that Drizzt has his own hatedom

4. that the editions were warring

5. of play-by-posts

6. that I have too much time on my hands

7. that sarcasm is considered a virtue by some

Shadow Lodge

Playing anything other than a wizard is wrong and severely handicaps your group.

Unless a warrior-mage character is a full on gestalt fighter/wizard, it's pathetically underpowered and people will mock you for playing it.

DM fiat bad. Mountains of rulebooks good.

Liberty's Edge

Weapon focus sucks, so does two weapon fighting.

Wait, two weapon fighting rocks?

Now it sucks again?

Now it rocks again?

I'm so confused.

I learned that good wins over evil and that love conquers all.

Wait! What?

Mr. Fishy learned that airbreathers are crazy!

The Roy wrote:

That is patently not true. "Evil will always triumph, because Good is dumb."

I've also learned that Mr. Fishy rates his own cult...as does Callous Jack...and that Heathansson apparently never works...never sleeps...he never does anything but make post after post on this forum. How else can you explain his post count?
