Hey. Just looking at what everyone's AC is like.
I've found its a useful metric to try and aim for level+14.
Just while we're in between adventures and going to shop.
Ioun stones, armor increases, and rings of protection are cheapish. Bors doesn't have any, and needs them most. I'll even invest my spare money in getting Bors a compettitive AC score.
Hell, 9,000 gp would get a +3 bump. (ring of protection +1, amulet of natural armor +1, dusty rose prism ioun stone).
I have 6,000 spare. And while bumping my Int to 20 would be nice, I need Bors as a fighting buddy up and swinging.
Another 6,000 over the first 9000 would buy another +1 bump, with a ring +2. Getting ac up to 24 and aquitable. Otherwise we'll have to buff him just to keep him at reasonable AC. How much money does he have spare?
An ioun stone, or better ring might not be a bad idea for Elisen. With Hrafen taking CWI, we can get them extra cheap, especially the amulets. So Elisen could spend 2,500 for an ioun stone, and Bors could spend 8,500 gp for an iouns stone, a +1 ring, and a +2 amulet. Might be an idea. Hrafen has lots of spells, etc. And should be okay with AC around 20. Which would take 3,500 gp with CWI for and ioun stone and +1 amulet.

I am fine with boosting the group's defenses however we can. I say sell everything we don't want, add everything together we make and recovered, and we get what we need. I have an extra 5k Elisen has on her, so I would put that in the kitty as well, for whatever we need.
Since it sounds agreed on, I am going to take the + 3 Cloak of Resistance, if there no objections and add it to my sheet. Please put my current +1 cloak into the kitty as well. Thanks.
I am perfectly happy to craft stuff for the party (as long as I have the right spells to do so), but ioun stones are out of my reach at present; you have to '12th level or higher' to craft those.
Regarding the amulets, they are certainly possible, as long as we can find a sympathetic druid or summoner to cast Barkskin whilst Hrafen crafts.
Including all of the above item allocations, we each get a 'split' of the loot from Varnhold of 25994gp.
Let the spending/crafting commence! :-)
EDIT: I am not including the money that Elisen and Bwana offered in that total; I think that we should see what we can do with the money we each have individually, first, before we start dipping into other people's resources...
Excellent. That should allow for the regualr purchase of plenty of AC. We need a druid so, unless the GM lets Bwana provide a barkskin or two before he makes his exit to stage left. He's effectively an NPC now.
@Bors: Buy ioun stone 5000 + buy ring of protection +1 2000 + ask Hrafen to craft amulet of natural armor +2 4000 ~= 11,000 gp for AC 24. Which is a sweet deal. Leaves you with ~15,000 gp to play around with still!

Actually, it's 23,441.12 if you calculate from line 60, since you already had previously split the treasure. Remember, you are splitting it by 4, as Bwana takes his share of the loot before departing into the horizon.

Bwana said that he did not want a share of the 'Varnhold' loot, so I divided the total by three, rather than four (which is why I arrived at the higher total).
No worries, but no sane adventurer gives up 23+k in treasure, so please divide treasure by 4 people.

Guys, I've thought about it, but 3 of you alone took out a powerful lich, and with Hrafen's empowered spells 6x a day, I think you are powerful enough for the AP, which is intended for 4 players in the first place. So I don't think we need anyone else and that leaves out a lot of editing encounters for me, which is a good thing! :-)

Sure! I'lld certainly reccomend some AC, because thats always useful. And often neglected.
What else would you like to do? It is currently suicide for her to be in melee combat.
@Elisen: From the 'gear' section of your character sheet, I see that you already have an Amulet of Natural Armor +2, a Ring of Protection +1, and Studded Leather +2.
Personally, if you are wanting to upgrade your AC (and since I get the impression that you want to stay 'agile'), I would recommend purchasing a +2 Mithral Agile Breatplate (for 8,550gp), which counts as light armor, and gives you a +3 AC bonus over the top of what you had with the +2 studded leather, for substantially less than the cost of upgrading the studded leather to +5.
If you want still more AC, I would recommend purchasing a Dusty Rose Ioun Stone (5,000gp), which grants an additional +1 insight bonus to AC (which adds to both your touch and flat-footed AC).
For yet more AC, I would then suggest upgrading your armor to +3 (for an additional 5,000gp)
Other than that, I would recommend upgrading your headband to +4; if you can spare 40gp to allow Hrafen to scribe it into his spellbook, he can then upgrade it to +4 for 6,000gp (rather than the 12,000 that it would cost on the open market).
In total, that sets you back:
8550 - 2087.5 + 5000 + 40 + 6000 + 5000 = 22,502.5 gp
Which leaves you with 6,216.32gp (if your sheet is accurate)
If you want still more AC (and to be fair, more AC is never a terrible thing), I would recommend getting Hrafen to upgrade your Belt of Incredible Dexterity to +4 (for an additional 6,000gp), which would add to your touch AC, and leave you with 216.32 gp

Good tips on the AC Hrafen. I think you could even skip the +3 armor, and just go +2 breastplate, ioun stone and belt. That puts you at AC 26. Which is two above the reccommended, and perfectly acceptable for someone who won't be constantly eating full attacks.
I'd save the extra 5000, giving you 11,216.32 gp for fun stuff, or more aggressive items.
A ring of sustenance isn't a bad idea. It means you only have to sleep 2 hours to get spells, which is nice for 2,500 gp. A rod of extend metamagic (11,000 gp) is also very nice for a buff using spellcaster.
Also, as Elsien is on healing duty, and likes to use channelling. A phylactery of positive channelling for 11,000 gp increases the dice of your channelling by 2. Putting you at 7d6 (24.5 hp per person per use). Although, you not having selective channelling isn't as ideal, BUT it saves you spells. And your a spellcasting cleric, saving spells is always a good idea, and it really suits you.

The villagers of Varnhold know little to nothing of aberrations or dragons in the area, so they are of little help to Bors.
Any word on the former owner of the Defender? If no one survived to reclaim it, Bors will keep it in their honor and donate his longsword +1 to the party sale kitty.
Bors learns that the sword belonged to the mayor of the town, who was among the corpses placed at the lich's dinner party. The villagers make a request that Bors donate it to the village in memoriam of the mayor's service, but it is Bors' decision.
Sorry for the delay. I will decide what else, if anything, Elisen will pick up this evening. It will all be relatively minor stiff like scrolls, lesser rods, etc.

I am Robert, Nikolai's friend. This is simply a short introduction and a way for me to roll the necessary stats to create my Varisian Monk of the Four Winds, Zalana. Thank you for this chance!
Zalana never knew love, cast as she was from her family at birth, left on the doorstep of a temple of Irori, in the nation of Andoran. Taken in by the worshipers of the God of History, Zalana spent most of her childhood in quiet contemplation and study. Having never known the soft touch of a mothers love, nor the gentle warmth of a fathers pride, the young girl grew to cherish and indeed love her time spent serving the Brothers and Sisters of the temple, in their quiet worship and scholarly pursuits.
Zalana studied much in the temple, from the histories of the world to the art of war and the beliefs of the various temples. It was, in her 17th year that she stumbled across a manuscript describing the practice of the Monks of the Four Winds. To wield such power... To be able to do so much good... Zalanas heart was captured.

Bors donates the Longsword +2 Defender to the Varnhold, but makes his displeasure at their greed and avarice in the face of what the heroes have done for them felt. He will no longer let the sun set on him while still within the boundaries of the village. He camps in the nearest sheltered grove near Varnhold, and meets with his companions daily as they reside within.
Bors decides upon Undead as his third favored enemy, to represent all he learned fighting Vordakai and his minions.

No, only items from Core and APG allowed. I believe Hrafen can create up to +3 Natural Armor items.
