Bors grew up in Andoran, son of an Eagle Knight and destined to serve the peoples in bringing freedom to everyone. That all changed on the open seas, as Bors' father fell to a pirate ship crewed in part by hell-spawned offspring of demons from the Abyss. Andoran lost yet another hero, Bors his father and with him his desire to see the people free. From that day Bors only wanted to see the demons pay that had cost him his own personal hero, his cause for being.

Bors headed out, against the wishes of his family, one of many winding their way to Mendev and the Worldwound. Along the way, Bors learned to track, to hunt, to prepare for the day when he would make his way into the heart of darkness, to snuff it from existence. His journey did not proceed as planned.

Traveling with a patrol into the scarred lands beyond Mendev, Bors witnessed the true horrors of what blight laid upon the land. His desires for revenge were dashed upon the rocks of reality that were the hordes of bestial men, monstrous creatures, and demon-spawn that raped the land and pillaged the life from nature itself.

Giving up all care, Bors threw himself into battle, striking out for slaughter and death, his and the hordes around him. He quickly found his wish, and lay mortally wounded amongst his fallen friends and foes, awaiting deaths last embrace. However, before he slipped from his mortal coil a young warrior priestess of Iomedae stumbled upon him, and brought him back from the brink.

Bors found himself laid up in an infirmary of the Lady, amongst many shattered and beaten men. He had been spared, he had been saved, and he had been given a debt. Bors vowed to pay back that young priestess for her act of bravery and compassion.

Since he could not locate her, for most such priests battled along the ways and seldom stayed anywhere for long, Bors dedicated himself to the young girl’s mistress, and became a follower of Iomedae.

Over the months since his conversion, Bors has followed his skills and training as well as his gut, what he views as urgings from the Lady, routing out hidden forces of the enemy, disrupting convoys, and working ever against the spread of evil in the world.

Recently, his gut has been giving him dreams of Restov, and something-unnatural stirring in the dark. It cannot be coincidence; it cannot be happenstance. Bors knew nothing of the Stolen Lands and Brevoy, but just days after his visions, pilgrims arrived at Mendev talking of the new baronies forming, and the need for men of strength and character.

Taking his leave of Mendev, Bors saddled up and headed for the Stolen Lands, to seek the will of Iomedae and what foes may come.
