Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, Tom and Rick spent the day helping T.C. fix his broken down helicopter, not realizing that they were missing the surprise party that Higgins had organized. Meanwhile, Archie was castigating his son-in-law over what he considered some poor life-style choices. And, across town, J.R. and Bobby decided to.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Goooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawltyhouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111
Last day at work for a week and a half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Otakon is on the horizon. I'm actually TOO EXCITED TO TYPE. I'm sure later on in the day at my friend's house I'll to too exhausted to type. Still, it promises to be fun. After that, SC. My friend and my father are both excited...although it's more apt to say my friend is super excited and my father is looking forward to seeing his son.
Twas a slow night last night. I hope everyone is not getting too wound up in certain other OTD threads and forgetting about the wonderful community we have here. I strongly suggest everyone check out the alternate history thread- it's more...civil...than others.
Good luck on the job search, monkey-man!

WOOT!!! I just received the games that I ordered. I got The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind, Star Wars - Knights of the old Republic, and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II for the X-Box. They do work on the X-Box 360. Unfortunately, The Hobbit and some other games that I picked up do not work. My guess is that the game disks are messed up. ~shrugs~ Oh well.

So not reading the last 6 pages. Did I miss anything important? Things are ok here. Had to do a bit of running around. School is getting tough as we enter the last two weeks of this class. I will probably be in and out sporadically due to all the assignments I have due. I am so ready for my break.
Did Taig make it back on? If so...how ya doing?
Hubby is working today, so far the part time of the job doesn't exist, he is working full time as the guy is trying to catch up. He was way too busy for just one guy. Hubby seems to really be enjoying the job. He is happy and bouncy when he comes home. I like happy hubby. :D

We'll hold out hope for you. :)

My e-mail address is in my profile. I don't think I'll be able to head over your way, but it would be nice to talk to you guys while I'm in the same state and everything!

So guys, next pathfinder game I play in I'd like to try and play an Orc barbarian from Belkzen. You think this would clash with too many campaigns?
my first response is, "No Brad." Sorry inside joke. It depends on the game and the background of the PC. A good background makes up for a lot of things, including not being a perfect fit for the game.

KotOR was an awesome game. I still play it every now and then on my old xbox. The second one was OK - improved game mechanics (especially for crafting items and influencing party members) but the storyline was kind of "meh" for me.

Yeah I'm going to be working on it now. Might wait til "Orcs of Golarion" arrives in my mailbox.

Back for a moment, then back out. Starting the lower tier stuff. Time to gird the loins and hold the nose and hunker down for the long haul.

It's something I'm kind of afraid of once I'm back in the country. While I'm in Italy, my internet time is limited, and I'm sure as hell not using it to participate in or even read BS political threads, but once I have more time on my hands, I'll have to exercise real willpower again.

I just wish we had an 'ignore individual threads and/or posters' feature.

It's a good thing I get these updates. I'd be so far behind on our soap opera...

HAIL KOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I greatly prefer 2. Even though it wasn't finished. And I am enraged that 3 was never made. I'd do some things I've only heard whispered of at the second job for every member of the development team if they released a patch for 2 that let you truly finish the game. I'd do it for 'em TWICE if it resulted in the third game coming out for original xbox.

True, but we're talking about ideal worlds here. KOTOR 3 might have kept Xbox alive a lot longer, or it could have resulted in me actually buying a 360.

I take it decent jobs are scarce in the northeast too. Colorado is a beautiful state, but the job market here stinks too.
EDIT: Another thing that baffles me is how a lot of companies pass up well qualified local talent then pay to relocate someone here from out of state.

Yeah. Plus my employment record is spotty. I f!+#ed off a lot in my twenties, worked low-end jobs. Then the military, then school, then the sales job. So I am where I should be employment history-wise at, say 30 and I'm 43. Plus I have a few issues in RL that preclude me taking any job with extensive travelling. Or relocating. Or working past 5pm.
*sigh*
It is what it is. I can always find a low-end job, just have to figure out what needs to get thrown ooverboard to stay afloat.

Mairkurion {tm} |

Ah, Pat, I hate to hear that you might have to do that.

I hear you on employment history. I've had jobs with insanely variable pay scales after the army.
