Like I said, singers don't get unions, but when I do operas, the orchestra and the stagehands do. (Added bonus: the stagehands union says that, due to liability, nobody can be on stage while they're not present.)I don't get it. Aren't singers musicians?

I know someone on Tom Little's team. I say "know" because they are still there and on the same team -- even though Tom Little was killed. They happened to be out of town on additional training when it happened.
The whole thing is sad, but I think it's actually more sad for the families of the Afghans left behind. Most of the other families will have some support when they get home -- the Afghans don't have that assistance.
