Muttonchops.

Yeah, I'd like to see that.

I bet you wish I'd have been around with AZ's femur about then, huh?

Oh, btw, AZ, I traded your femur for these magic beans. Such a nice old lady. Hope you don't mind.

Mothy with Muttonchops would look like Graeme Garden from the Goodies ;-b

Geez, morning consciousness if painful.

Darmock and Jalad at Tanagra. The beast at Tanagra. Darmock and Jalad on the ocean.

Gilgamesh and Enkidu at Uruk. Heh. It'd been too many years since I had seen that. Paizo people: bringing you back to forgotten treasures.

FAWTLY! It's arms wide open. Posting when the boards fell.

Silver Crusade

Morning all. What did I miss?

This was my favorite ever ST:TNG episode.

(I was in college during the original airing of the show. A group of us -- mostly English majors-- used to get together to watch it every week. We always called this episode 'the English major episode', because of the whole metaphorical language thing they had going on.)

Everyone I know who has even the slightest interest in english loves that episode.

Keep the facial hair- just trim it and shave it into various patterns to see what works for you.

The third season of Hell Girl is really starting to lose me...I hope it improves, the second season was nothing short of amazing!

The 3-D thing was a little annoying (and I didn't feel that it added all that much).

But more than that, am I the only one that was thinking...

Outside of that, it was pretty enjoyable.

(Really like the soundtrack.)

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me, but ** spoiler omitted **

Ahhh... and it *will* be a trilogy.

Spoiler:
Already there's a scene written with elder and younger Dillinger talking about how "it's all coming together". Which means we'll get to see User vs. User action in the Grid. Matrix, eat your heart out.

And of course on my late morning, things are molasses slow and their is a dearth of Fawtlies.

Last night's gaming session was awesome!!! Last combat of the campaign (probably) and it was indeed epic. But we took out the paragon mind flayer and his minions and all survived brains intact. :)
Next week we begin the ritual. Should be an interesting ending to this story arc.
Given how much real life has been kicking me in the rear of late I really needed the escape of a good gaming session.

I wondered if that was what he as going for. Otherwise, the post was a Vladicuan ejaculation.

Lynora: Good. I was sorry to hear that your friend had given you the short end, you deserve some recreation from such nonsense.

Also, Lynora, this is why I wish we had Macebook instead of Facebook. Your (former?)friend needs some quality time with the recieving end of a mace.

FHDM, lol. Nice. Yeah, what she needs is some time in rehab. And I'm not funding her habit anymore, even unintentionally. She's had all the second chances she's getting from me.

I am here to 1. Support, 2. Edumucate, 3. Entertain.

Oh, and 4. Mock. We must not forget Mock.

Damn, I think I've already done 3 out of 4 today! Coffee break!

But ridicule is just a subset of mock, so I think we're still good. :)

Dictionary.com agrees with the Princeton word website in listing it as definition number 1.

Yes, but unfortunately, one cannot make soup out of ridicule, only mockery.

You usually hear mock and ridicule, so I think it should still be acknowledged that we are going that extra step.

Under the umbrella of ridicule, an acknowledged plank in the Fawtly platform, I see myself as specializing more in the Mock. Heck, I'm pretty sure somebody even made fun of me as Mockurion, once. But I am supportive of your wider-ranged ridiculing, even as I educate you as to the distinctions. Ms. Lynora, move to the head of the class!

Well, Sam and Emily finally revealed their secret passion to the world in the form of a modern art sculpture of Justin Bieber made from empty beer cans and used diapers. Meanwhile, Brandon and Al had to cancel the weekly meeting and shut down the building due to an escape from the 6th floor testing labs. And, across town, Joe finally realized his life-long dream of owning a working replica light.....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

Awesome! Cuz I planted the beans in the FAWTLY garden, and when the moons shines on them tonight, stuff is supposed to happen!

Thanks Prof. you have now given me cause to track down Peter Jackson and beat him to death with a copy of the Hobbit.

All the same, I will try to give it a fair shake as its own story.

I am sure I am overreacting. Still.

Yea yea, lets make up some chick and throw her in there to fall in love with Legolas. Cause you can't have a movie without some sort of romance.

So...the psychology chair gave me an idea yesterday if my summer classes don't make it. He said when he lived in Palm Springs, there was a guy there who went to the weekly fair on the main street and sat on a stool with a sign: Ask the Rabbi, $5. I could put on my regalia and make a sign, Ask the Philosopher, $5, and look for venues where I could hang out. I wonder if I could make enough to be worth it.

A non-philosophical (possible?!) question: Does anyone else look at a certain Greyhawk hottie and ever want to say, Igglwiggle?

If you are willing, take her to rehab yourself. When someone is addicted, you really aren't seeing them, but a twisted reflection that walks and talks like them, but really isn't them. That said, you should do this only if you are willing- if she has spent her last quarter, she has spent her last quarter.

You could write about it in your blog or better yet film it and use it as a documentary or better yet mockumentary.

Not saying everyone. But in retail I've wanted to pull my hair out soooooo many times.

Afta skoo, Fawtly-fooz!

Time to go to the grocery store. Since otherwise we won't have dinner tonight and I don't have enough stuff to pack Bryce's lunch tomorrow. I really hate grocery shopping. I still should really do it more than once a month.

Y'know... I recall a LOT of people saying the same thing when he "expanded" Arwen's roll in the LotR trilogy. And that turned out pretty fine, if I remember. ;)

Agreed. It wasn't the end of the world, although good luck convincing the purists of that.

Spoiler:
Yea it wasn't the end of the world. Yea it didn't kill the movies for me. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

He is making one book into two movies.

He is adding scenes not found in the book or the appendices of the LOTR, which does in fact expand upon what happened in the Hobbit.

He is Adding characters not found in the book.

Of course I am also one of the few people cranky that Gandalf's sword did not glow.

Yea I wonder how Gandalf's sword is gonna be done....
