Thanks Jeremy. Right now I'm trying to keep the cat from stealing my dinner... I wonder if she could be distracted by minis...

Mmm...dinner...

And we find that nerf guns help with the cat issue. Ours think its a game. :P

Squirt bottles tend to work with my herd. Except with my late, lamented Fishercat, who (true to his name) loved water.
We haven't tries water bottles, but the kitten (Blix) loves water. He actually sits on the side of the tub, on the shower side of the curtain, while you shower. :P
We have a cat that does that as well. She insists on getting soaked.
I love quirky cats. :D

Is there any other kind? I thought the appeal of cats was that they are each psychotic in their own special way.

Leftover Beef Curry! :d

I am cooking spicy oyster crackers and 16 bean cajun soup with spicy sausage for tomorrow's game night. I'm going to try some corn bread that doesn't fail too. We'll see.

Oh, and I made rice crispie treats.

I think I'm taking lasagna to game night this weekend. It'll be a nice change from takeout. (I'd cook every time, but the hosts start feeling guilty if I do it too often.)

Ah, I host Friday nights. I get to cook, but I don't have to eat it nonstop for the next week.

Except for the curry. I don't know that I"m willing to share the curry...

But it's not like I have a problem. I can stop buying them anytime.

Level 1, and I haven't chosen a point buy yet. I'm mostly guaging interest, and then I will want character concepts. Those will help me so when I open it up to anyone on gamer connection, I can get a feel for what the party needs.
I've got both a wizard and a ranger floating around from aborted Ravenloft pbps. Might re-hash / update one of those or create a new concept depending on the campaign details.

Hmmm. This could be fun. I'm willing to play most anything, really. Maybe I"ll try one of the classes I haven't used, like inquisitor.

Yeah, the hosts for our gaming group have kids, so it's easier to meet up at their place for dinner, and then play after the kids are in bed. (At least, that works now, while the kids are little and have an early bedtime.)

Also, do you share recipes? I do okay with chicken curry, but my beef and lamb curries are never as good as I want them to be... :)

Damn it. I'm now in the mood for high quality Indian cuisine. I don't think it'll take much twisting of the missus' arms to go out and dine. It'd make up for not doing it for our anniversary last weekend as we had to be called out of town for an unexpected funeral.

Kudos on recognising the origin of the name, most people don’t.

I’m about as Aussie as you can get without chuckin a u-ey in a ute with a VB in hand on the way to throw another prawn on the barbie at some bloody station out the back o’ Bourke. But if you go far enough back along the family tree, my ancestors are from somewhere in Catalonia. I’m descended from a monk who arrived in Perth, Western Australia from Barcelona (or thereabouts) at some point in the 1800s who didn’t ... ah ... honour his vows as such.

I visited the Palau Nacional (mainly to see the building) but I didn’t see the collection. Hey, it was 8 euro or something to get in, and I was on a student’s budget with a poor exchange rate! I probably ended up spending it on beer instead ...

Yeah, I think that is the problem with doing the big ‘once in a lifetime’ Europe trip while you are young. There are a lot of things I wish I had seen, or would do differently if I went back now, and being willing to spend more money on things is something I would change.

It certainly wasn’t an ‘all beer and clubs’ type trip, I was studying architecture at the time, so I was very focused on looking at buildings (without necessarily paying too much attention to what was in them).

Of course, if you wait too long to do that trip you (potentially) get to where I am now with the whole mortgage and kids things ... when to plan that trip is a fine balancing act. Hopefully I will get to go back when the kids are older ... probably at least 10 – 15 years away!
