Ah, Nekkid Crampage!

Should I pronounce that as C-Rampage, Crampage, or as Cram-page?

Firefox keeps trying to tell me that the word "spellcaster" should be changed to "telecaster." Sometimes, as much as I love Firefox, its little functions make me slightly annoyed.

But then again, maybe the Pathfinder Wiki needs more guitars.

So...on a slightly less b*!@$y note...I've been reading the Planet Stories "Before They Were Giants" anthology. It's pretty interesting, both for the fiction and for the perspective offered by the authors. James Sutter did a good job with this one.

Is it totally egotistical to say that I think some of my work is on par with these great authors' first published works? ;)

EDIT: I meant "slightly less b*!@$y" than MY previous posts. Should have taken greater care to avoid looking like I was talking about others' posts. :/

Right click >> Add to dictionary. No more worries. It's one of those 'little functions'. ;-)

Can they add a bass guitar too. I like bass.

No thanks. I worked my share of weekends. And I still work on Saturdays.

Well, I'm glad you're having a slow day off, Solnes.

I'm about to head out to go on watch. Looking forward to hitting my rack at about 2200. Tonight's one of the few nights this week when I'll be able to get more than 3 or 4 hours of sleep.

Take care, all, and have a great Monday!

Good night Paris. I hope you have a quiet night, and that it passes fast for you.

Meh. Worth a try.

My days off right now are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

I'm usually in 12 hours a day, but my regular schedule only calls for 10.

Money. Yo.

Sounds like a decent schedule. Three days off in a row, *envious*

It always took me a full day to recover from work anyway, now that means I have 2 left.

*shrugs* I like it. I'm really not going to be happy when the next shift bid comes around if I lose it.

My guess? The Blu-Ray authoring company updated the disc DRM to combat piracy, and hosed its compatibility with certain models/firmware of BR players.

It's happened at least three times that I know of with a certain company's DVDs that rendered them unplayable with the same company's very own DVD players (and others' players too).

I used to do that at an old job....work wed to sat, sunday was spent semi comatose recovering from the previous four.

Soooo....turns out Mac is wise in the ways of bluray. Apparently, my bluray needed a firmware upgrade. I didn't know you could do that with those things. But, there you go. Weird.

Still, I guess this goes to show, when you get assistance at Best Buy, it's the luck of the draw. The girl yesterday just exchanged the discs and sent me on my way. The girl this morning knew enough to suggest upgrading the software as well.

So, this evening I got an extra flash drive, downloaded the firmware upgrade onto it, then plugged it into the player. It automatically did the upgrade. Then when I put in the movie, it worked - except no sound! Took a bit of menu hopping, but I seem to have gotten that fixed as well.

Again - weird.

Yay for TechnoZombies!

I stopped in Staples earlier today and they were having a sale on their bookcases. Normally they run $60, but today they are $30. I picked up seven bookcases. That ought to be almost enough for most of my hoard. I may pick up two more for the DVDs.

Yesssss, bookcasessss. So good for displaying the book spines and no locks to secure them. {scribbles dispatch and "Horde wish list" to gNinjas-R-Us}

Yeah, I've been cleaning up my garage and found that apparently I may need a few more bookcases. Problem with that is that I have no more room in the double garage for anymore bookcases. :/

~laughter~ If I had a garage, I would probably be that way. I will be assembling them over the next few days.

RPG stuff and comics go in the spare bedroom. I just have to leave enough room for the spare bed and the "TV stand" that will hold my spare TV and the Play Station 2.

Well, now my Steven J. Gould books as well as my Annotated Alice have a shelf of their own.

Ah...my blu-ray informed me last weeked that I need to update my firmware. I should have thought of that!

Good morning all FAWTLHOUSE FIVE readers and posters!

Congratulations Justin on the baby boy. Shower him with love (which involves occasionally saying no) and he will turn out great. Just remember that the path may be very crooked and dark at times but it all works outs.

Best wishes to you and your wife.
