So it`s official my research proposal accepted, and plans are made. I can actually start some preliminary work. However it looks like I will be TAing Neurology for a few years.

TA? Livin' the dream, man, livin' the dream.

Small price to pay for doing research you love, seriously. Congrats!

So much work ahead. But yeah I have to TA Neurology only because it`s only the feasible way to complete my research in an a financially feasible way.
I know, students cough up the biggest bribes when they're desperate to pass.
Not exactly. My proposal, is the study of genetic predisposition to psychological disorder, specifically clinical depression and schizophrenia. My research requires me to dissect some cadaver brains, and cadavers are very very expensive. And in these tough economic times I can TA the neurology class, dissect these brains for the student in the lab while I get my gland measurements, pictures, weights, and tissue samples while teaching he class. IT`s basically a win/win for the university.

Will you know if the cadavers came from depressives or schizophrenics?

Saw an interesting NatGeo on fatal insomnia that involved brain dissection. SP had to stop eating his beef jerky.

Cadavers are expensive? But they're donated?!

EDIT: I guess processing and preservation and transportation, etc, all take their monetary toll, though.

RE-EDIT: It does sound like a great deal for everyone.

NOTE: Keep AZ away.

Plus the just the sheer number of cadavers, the university doesn't get that many of them to be honest.

Ah, cadavers. The exposure to which made me give up any thoughts about medical school.

I'm actually sending resumes out for some Texas Jobs. Colorado Springs is beautiful, but the job market is brutal, and my sister and Dad are in College Station.

Now to run the LAN cord for the X-Box 360 from the living room to the back bedroom / computer room.

Gah! When I said that I hoped there weren't a hundred posts waiting for me when I got back, that didn't mean there should be three hundred! Little did I realize that it was karaoke night.

I think I may stay off the boards for a few days. Talk to you guys soon.

Really hoping this stomachache lets up so I can get some sleep. It seems that Bryce and I picked up some sort of virus. Either that or we ate something that was bad. But he at least was able to get to sleep and stay asleep, so I have some hope.

Well, if it keeps bothering me I guess I'll just work on my painting some more. It's all good. :)

Either way, good night all.

Hopefully sooner rather than later. But sanity breaks can be a good thing sometimes.

YES!!! I should have my X-Box Live Membership up and running in a few minutes. ~grins~ Damn, but this was easier than I thought it would be.
