Wow, that's some good stuff! Ring of Protection +2, amulet of Natural Armor +2, Ring of Evasion, Cloak of Resistance +3, Headband of Charisma +4.

Who wants what?


Shalani seems a natural for the headband, but she already has a headband of intelligence so it would hurt her alchemist-wise, I'm guessing.

Narses is going to have to take up the mantle of melee-beast with Feek leaving, and his AC is terrible so he should probably get the amulet, unless he already has something like that. Dragox is going to have to take up some slack there, too, so he might upgrade his ring to the +2.

Didn't Narses give up his cloak of resistance to get Findor reincarnated? Did he ever get another one?

We're going to have to keep enough gear to pay for Shalani's raising (although hopefully some of that Large-sized stuff will fit the bill), and the way this party is going, we'd better start saving up for the next raise dead too.

Congratulations, everyone, on completing the second chapter of the Red Hand of Doom campaign. I cannot wait to see what happens as our intrepid band of adventurers continues their efforts to thwart the hobgoblin horde and hopefully disrupt their key alliance with a lich!

Now for leveling-up, we have some interesting developments. I have been modifying the original adventure to adapt to the gestalt characters you guys have been running. I'm not perfect, so it appears that this has been leaning towards the lethal-side more than I would like. With that in mind, I have decided to award some story award experience points for a job well done in vanquishing yet another Wyrmlord, as well as maintaining great character interaction.

What does this mean? Well, you guys hadn't taken an extended rest in so long that not only had you passed the point of leveling quite a while ago, but you made it a good amount of way towards the next level after that as well. With this in mind, plus the story award, you are all leveling to 9th-level.

We will also use the following hit point system for the rest of the campaign:

1d6 > 1d3+3
1d8 > 1d4+4
1d10 > 1d5+5
1d12 > 1d6+6

With that being the case, Dragox can cast the Raise Dead on Shalani in a day or two and can bust out a Restoration on her as well, taking another of those pesky negative levels away. We'd need 6000 gp to pay for the components for all that.

DM, I probably won't be able to get the leveling done until the weekend, if that is acceptable. I'm out of town tomorrow and the next day for a funeral. I'll be back on Saturday, and will get it done then.

Just to keep up with my eastern theme for Shalani, if you want to. If not, I guess I'll ask for the +1 shortsword and use it as a scimitar. :) I'm not trying to get greedy or powerhungry, people, so let me know if I overstep my bounds.

I'll have to get back to you on the rest of Tahllana's level-up. Gestalt characters give me a headache, especially now that I'm used to being lazy and letting HeroLabs handle all the math. Like I said, I'll get Dragox up to snuff on Saturday.

Thinking about the loot though, I think Narses clearly need one of the amulets, and I should probably take the other, since Dragox will be entering melee a bit more often now. Anyone except me could make good use of the Ring of Evasion, as that is quite a plum prize. And of course the Cloak +3 and Ring Prot. +2 are also quite sweet.

Maysalkirii obviously won't be taking a share and my new character is geared up. Theres definitely some items he might want if you aren't able to sell the surplus though.


Tahllana would like the ring of evasion, as evasion is one of the abilities replaced by her archetypes. If someone else more likely to be on the front lines wants it, that's fine though.


Everything looks good so far. Dragox, you can get your changes up when convenient.

Haven't heard from Narses yet.

You MAY want to use the two weapon warrior archetype from APG- that way you could dual wield bastard swords at -2/-2 (not sure which level enables this). This also makes feats much cheaper for weapon focusing, weapon specing them etc.

Well, with people making some changes with theior characters, can Dragox get the natural armor amulet and the ring of protection + 2? That, his bump from a level 8 Wis increase, and his next bump for monk AC bonus, will make his AC must more tolerable in combat.

I am back in town (at work unfortunately) but I will level him this evening.


I figure we've forfeited our claim on the current loot with our character switching unless the groups feeling generous, but I figure Dragox, Tahllana and Shalani have the rights to it. AK, you agree?

Thats the idea yup. If they happen to have gear they can't sell and are lugging around later its possible they might think its useful for us. but I don't want to meta it so im keeping my character very quiet (just don't look at my aliases ;) ).

Looks good so far. Since Maysalkirii and Narses are both the outdoorsy, rugged-individualist types, I'm fine with them not taking a portion of the treasure when they leave. It's in keeping with the Rambo-esque one-man-army.

That being said, it is a war-time economy, so don't expect too great of prices for when you sell your stuff. ;)

Hey team, we still need to do a final breakdown of the treature from the last battle. Who wants what?


Shalani takes the headband of charisma +4 (it's already on her profile even), that puts a headband of intelligence +2 (which adds skillpoints to knowledge (planes)) back in the ring. Someone else gets to pick something from the loot now. :) Tahllana or Dragox. I guess it works if we pick one thing and then pass along the rest until we get through the list. :)


Tahllana will claim the ring of evasion.

Tahllana will take the headband of intelligence, as Shalani just replaced it with the Charisma one and I don't think Dragox needs it for anything. That leaves the ring and the cloak -- one for Shalani, one for Dragox.

I am fine with either of those items. Let Shalani choose, and Dragox will take the other.


Well, considering that the last cause of death was a confusion spell, which I should have had a good resistance against but didn't, I think I'll take the cloak of resistance +3.


That leaves Dragox with the ring of protection +2. I believe he has a +1 ring, so I assume that will go into the party loot list.

We can let Narses's and Feek's share be all the rest of the magical items. Since Narses is going to find the giants, I bet they have allies that could put all the large items to good use...
