With all the Paizo staff busy at Paizocon, we run this place, right?

What should we do with all this power?

I had some major 80s music flashbacks with the bro-in-law in the car yesterday.

Now color me stupid -- what does FAWTL mean?

FAWTL is an acronym for Forums Are Way Too Long. That was a thread started a while back by some new guy, complaining about the lengths that threads grow to and asking Paizo to place limits.

His request did not go over well.

In fact, we proceeded to take that thread, and run with it until it got so long it was causing the boards to go wonky. Then Teter had to shut it down. Since then, we've run through several sequel threads, each one getting a little bit longer.

It's BYOO TEE FULL!

I always wonder, every time someone asks "What does FAWTL mean?" and this story gets told again, if IssacX is lurking or otherwise ever returned to see the insanity his one post created :)

I do not think that this particular sock puppet has been used in a year or so. Only two posts on the same day.

When we get our animated series(AND WE WILL), this needs to be the read at the beginning of every episode of season 1 in a dry, pseudo british deadpan.

I saw it too.

I should have been sky-fishing, obviously.

*sigh* there is no such thing as a hippuffin, however I have heard a story of a werepoodle once, it roams the messageboards looking to victims to annoy, it's called the heathansson.

Got it. Thanks. That's awesome. How did I miss that? Oh, probably because I dismissed the complaint out of hand and moved onto other threads. Serves me right! :)

Yeah, a lot of people dismissed it. But we kind of took it as a challenge. Now it's one of those things that makes the Off Topic section so...."off".

From dictionary.com;

Skiv·vies
A trademark used for underwear. This trademark often occurs in lowercase in print: "About 500 yards away, on three destroyers snubbed up to the dock, men were clambering on the deck in their skivvies" (Smithsonian).

So there's nothing to be struck blind from. ;)

If there had been any left, it would have been shipped back to FAWTLY Towers. Fortunately, we saved a bundle on shipping via inebriation.
