From the director that brought you the downfall of Sarah Michelle Gellar's career with his live action Scooby-Doo movies come: Those That Shall Not Be Named on the Paizo Forums.
Well, they inevitably will, just not by me. I expect to see this thread running blue real soon.

Oh please no, not those little adominations! Wasn't it enough that they got a tv series?

She's not so bad. I was hoping she'd go all scream-queen on us, in which case I'd HAVE to see more of her stuff. But she really hasn't done much, so I'm just transferring my Buffy-hate to her. Which is unfair, I know.

You know I hate to admit this, but I actually enjoyed the scooby doo movie when I finally saw it. I mean a) the shows weren't that great to begin with.
and b) it was cute, and lets face it compared to "good" films like avatar where I was predicting every event in the film and calling out every cliche pulled for it, I was honestly pleasantly surprised by the twist that the villian was scrappy doo.
So I'll be giving smurfs a chance when it comes out on redbox (I watched scooby doo on cable)

Jesus! that movie is like 10 years old now, I'm not going to spoil that, either you weren't interested in seeing it and my non-spoilered info made you change your mind, or you were interested in seeing it, which means by now you've seen it. If you're indiferent (the only reason you wouldn't have seen it by now) then it doesn't matter.
I'm also not going to spoil that Vader is Luke's Father, You can't look at the Ark of the Covenant, and they still lose the trial in to kill a mockingbird.

I don't think my humor translated - I was being kind of ironic as I doubt most people care about Scooby Doo spoilers.
One of the very first spoilers: it was Oedipus who killed his father and slept with his mother.

Being that T is right next to R on the keyboard, I will try not to LOSE MY POTA LUVIN' MIND ON YOU! ;)
As for this Smurf film... sad thing is, I'm sure when I see this film on cable I'll finish it with a, "Hmm... fun."
But deny me not the chance to lash out geek style for my own self entertainment.
They took the theme song and layered it over a Young MC/Ton Loc beat. That's fresh.
And more 3-D! Yay! A splinter medium that just keeps getting more interesting!
And the script! The Muppets Take Manhattan meets Home Alone 2 meets Stuart Little 2 in a blender?! Oh bliss upon bliss! If only I could inject this shimmery blue celluloid concoction directly into the vein leading to my brain!

In keeping line with Hollywood, they wanted the smurfts to be edgy for today's audience...
Just saw this rant/commentary by the screenwriter who was tasked with writing for the Fraggle Rock film. He's complaining how the studio came back saying the script needed to be edgier...
Edgy... Fraggle Rock?! Nooooo!!!!

No, he did not.
That's nothing: 105% of people of all ages who read the script thought "Huh, Pocahontas remake."
