Heh. It's XIII, but I give it a shot anyway.

And I think we've had this discussion before. Tactics: great story, terrible combat system. ;)

Tactics is awesome. I don't even know how you can say that. I'm gonna flag your post for terrible taste!

Just kidding.

Edit: Tactics is my favorite Playstation game. I was joking about the flagging.

Like I said. Excellent story. TERRIBLE system.

I'm anti-tactical combat system anyway. I had trouble with Starcraft and Warcraft and never managed to wrap my head around Fire Emblem either. Just not my game.

Then how'd you get into and stay with D&D/Pathfinder?

I dunno. Maybe it's because it's single character control at a time rather than multiple troops - Warhammer/WH40k doesn't interest me, for example, other than the fun of Ork jokes - or maybe it's a preference for the turnbased systems of standard RPGs. Dunno where exactly one calls the line, but from my experiences with most tactical RPG games they're simply not something I enjoy, despite how good of a story they may have.

FFT gets special mention there for wonky controls and this weird thing where it has a tendency to heal your enemies when your White Mages cast spells. -_- Dunno how in heck that happens but it did.

Are you typically a PC gamer or a console gamer, because that might be your problem right there. They're two totally different entities for control.

I actually have a copy for my Play Station 2, so I should put it in the game system and give it a shot.

So how ARE you planning on thanking the appropriate party that gave you your Bella Sara plushie?

With real cement blocks and all?! :D
I call them shoes, but, now that you mention it, they are made out of cement...

Guh, my car is covered in birdpoo. I feed the little ungrateful biatches a large pitcher of seed a day (them and their squirrel cohorts). Think that gets me a pass on the car?

*buzzer*

You can have my Grenadier player characters, if yer gonna biatch though. You like the OG lead ones?

They get a whole pitcher of bird seed? No wonder your car is a target.
This was my thought as well.
What can I say? I love the little birdies. Even if they is ungrateful biatches. They are very calming to watch out my back slider as I type my diatribes. Currently I have six sparrows, two cardinals and a catbird supping at my post.

Studpuffin calls sparrows "Squawky Jerkbirds."

Nah. Melting my figs down would pain me as much as scribbling on my Hugo Solis original illos would.

Later Solnes, hope your meal is better than Treppa and mines lunch. We went to the Budweiser Quintessential bar down the street. The food is pretty, but it wasn't very good (and we were the only people in there, so it's not like they had to rush or wait or anything).

Mostly SNES, some PS1 and PS2. FFXIII is the only PS3 game I've played, and I just started that today.

And no, no Facebook or anything like that.

AH, you're an old school gamer. Gotcha. No wonder something like tactics bothered you, the diagonals can be a pain in the butt when you first get the controller in your hand. After a week or so your hands get used to the motions though.

Solnes, when you send a message to someone on FB, even multiple persons, it's not called a thread. Yep, I got your message. And now I KNOW something. I'm not sure who else knows, but I do. And I know someone who doesn't know. And that person rhymes with baloney and rice-a-roni.
