Oh yeah? Well OUR side is tastelessly decorated in erotic art, pictures of Solnes boobs, and sexual bondage equipment.

Our side will get more visitors.

Perhaps. Heck, even my wife is scared of my side. "Every thing you like looks like it belongs in a haunted house." This from the girl who picks things like that tasteless monstrosity, the W Hotel.

Believe me; if I don't know, then Woody definitely doesn't know!

And since Ambrosia is a figment of my active imagination, she won't know either.

Does that settle part of this?

I don't know.

You either? ARRRRRRGGGHHH!!!

Poor Sara Marie. That is enough for an annulment. Or a quick trip to the nuthouse.

I'm more familiar with the interior of the Manhattan Times Square W, but from what I've seen, they have the same style and feel of interior decoration. It's the interiors that really tweak my knobs.

I have the wrong place. I may have been thinking of the Wyndham. Haven't been to a "W." Most hotels are soulless entities with giant "flower" arrangements that look like they are going to eat somebody.

Yeah, I remember when they built the Wyndham. May have a different name now, not sure. It's on Harry Hines close to downtown, but further out than Victory Park.

Lots of hotels are, but not all. Especially not ones I tend to pick (if I can A afford them and B convince the wife.) Here's a hotel that I love. It's mostly me, but it looks like my wife replaced some of the furniture and decor with her stuff so that she could stand it. Leicester Square hotel. Not sure how much justice the pics actually do it. Lots of wood paneling and brass.

If you do get to Chicago, you can give the Intercontinental a try. It's an older place, but well maintained. The Palmer House used to be the place to go, but I haven't been there since it was taken over by the Hiltons. Both are downtown and within easy walk or quick cab of lots of attractions!

Never been to the UK, sadly. :(

Personally, if my home doesn't look like a Victorian gentleman blew up inside it, something has gone terribly wrong.

You know, most people aren't brave enough to include intestines in their design scheme. I applaud your originality.

Wow. Yeah, intestines are a bit much for me. I've got more of a mid-century modern meets Victorian farmhouse vibe going with the decor. But I'm sure innards make an interesting design choice too. ;)

Sounds like a reasonable conclusion to me.
There is very little that can't be fixed by griping, hitting, BttH/CttH or duct tape.

I actually brought a roll of duct tape to the con, and I actually ended up using it more than once.

I've been there before...Sorry man.
I guess I just needed to gripe. They just called me about a minute ago, and I'm headed out. No worries.

I am glad to hear that you are being picked up, David. Did they bring the white jacket and are they taking you to your padded room?

;-P

Yes and no. They took me to their padded room, and made me play Munchkin for three hours.

In all seriousness, though, aside from the two large fluffy cats, staying at Mark and Laura's house is going to be pretty damn good.
