Hey Jason, not to bug you nor to open the can of worms where everyone else bugs you either (lol), but I was just curious about revisions to the classes or if you're finding that some need more work over others.

Just trying to get an idea of a notion of an update...see where you're at. I saw that the book is available for pre-order on Amazon now and was thinking that might mean you and the rest of the staff feel that things are pretty well honed at this point.

Thanks in advance...

No particular reason. Probably because the first few days of the week have us getting stuff ready, so it just falls to Wednesday. Other than that, I can't think of any particular reason.

I like to think of it as finding that treasure/goal on a hump day, so that I know my week was worth it. It makes the coast down the other side of the week just that much more fun. :oP

Seems like a good idea to me. You get a couple days at the beginning of the week to wrap things up and then a couple days at the end to start receiving and responding to feedback before you leave for the weekend.

Thanks Lisa I just saw that pattern and was wondering is all

I used to unload trucks & stock shelves for Wal-Mart. One night we got a box of Magic 8-Balls, two of them were broken so I got to see what was inside. What I personally find amusing is that you're still rolling a d20 when you use a Magic 8-Ball, Lisa.

Product idea!

Anyone notice that Wednesday is tomorrow? ;)

And that would be awesome. I simply cannot wait for the other 50% of the Alchemist class to be useful.

or for the oracle to not screw over a person who multi-classes it :) argh why isn't anything up yet *pulls hair out*

So when they come out are they going to be a blog post, a post in individual forums, a download, or what? where should we be looking for updates?

Looks like next Wednesday would be a better bet. :)

well normally about 2pm PST so that should be in about 5 hours or 6 hours give or take and hour as it's about 8 30 AM PST now

I seem to remember that their usual release time is 10 AM PST. Which is in another 48 minutes.

And of course I need to go open the store....sheesh.

With any luck, I'll get a suprize when I get home tonight ;)

No surprise yet...

My money is, reluctantly, next Wednsday at best. There's been no real buzz about it, so I just don't see it being out today.

We've been chatting about it in this and other threads for several days based on what Lisa Stevens' posted last week. If the update wasn't coming out today then I'd expect/hope that somebody at Paizo would kindly give us a heads up so as to spare our poor F5 pushing fingers.

Until that happens I'm just going to remain optimistic and keep on clicking away. =)

Maybe it'll be the blog tomorrow, but their not going to give us a time idea until Jason is nearly done. Unless it has been fairly heavily implied it will be this week?

guys it's like 12:30 pm in paizo land. The day is far from over, just saying is all.

The RPG Superstar posting were released at 2pm PST this year, so this might be at that time too, 23:00 here.

T minus 92 minutes. And counting.

Take a look at the post upthread. Lisa basically comes out and says it'll be today. :) Mind you, I'm not demanding anything, but I'm certainly feeling more eager than someone my age probably should for a set of revised playtest rules, and still be labeled as sane .... ;)

Sovereign Court

Hopefully they Tweet it when they release... Course when I tweet it tends to come out more of a <STUNNING SCREECH>!!!

I do. I DEMAND. Something. And I threaten acts of terrorism I'm not at liberty to specify at the current time. I might turn up the volume of my TV or start making prank calls.

Or not.

I'd still love to see it coming out today.

A prank call from KaeYoss is nothing to dismiss lightly. I would say that fair warning has been given here.

Carnivorous_Bean wrote:

Oh, have you ever been on the receiving end?

My newest thing is when I answer the phone for someone in their home and it's something official and I tell the other person that whoever he wanted to call is not there but will be back at 4 o'clock (or whatever). Then, I go home, and from 3 o'clock to like 10 to 4, I make prank calls impersonating the real caller (and trying to get the voice right).

When they're finally called by the real police/priest/doctor's assistant, they just about had it and let the guy really have it. And then they're in deep s~~&, because they're being arrested/exorcised/treated to some unnecessary and very painful tests when they have to go to the doctor next time.

Everyone can just call and ask about prince albert in a can.

No, but one look at your avatar is a good hint of what to expect. ;)

There's still three hours left in the workday over at the Paizo offices.

One could argue that it's always today everywhere.

sigh, oh well tomorrow is another day. See you guys then

Well, Lisa also said upthread that they usually release stuff on Wednesdays. So don't get your hopes up -- the lack of an update today probably set it back a full week.

She said maybe Wednesday, so tomorrow is possible

not to push my luck, but can you tell me the reason on why paizo choose the name Oracle for one of its classes....

(oh and I like the class, its name just doesnt really fit it ....)

can of worms there, it both does fit the meaning and does not fit the most classic of archtypes. An oracle is someone who communes with gods or a divan power not just a seerer

seekerofshadowlight wrote:

still doesnt stop me from asking why they chose it.

They chose it as they thought the name fit the class to them, and while you could make the classic seerer the concept is not limited to the classic seerer.

Some people love the name, some hate the name. Some people just don't care one way or the other.

Lock them in a closet and play Frank Zappa or The Residents non stop..or even worse, torture them with Jon Anderson or Steve Vai.

Even better lock them in a closet and play Frank Zappa, The Residents, Jon Anderson AND Steve Vai non stop ;-)

Of electric sheep. Its been proven with science.

Anywhos, I'm hoping someone might drop by here with some clarification as to whether you mean Wednesday yesterday and so hoping to still get it out this week or next Wednesday or what. I'm so excited I may have peed a little...

I know its not fun, but you just have to wait until Jason's ready, it could happen anytime.

And Lisa was more likely implying that Wednsday is likely, not saying that it had to be a Wednsday, it'll be Friday if its this week at all probably, and I don't think it'll be this week.

Seeing as how the update wasn't posted yesterday as we'd hoped, could we perhaps have someone kindly post a new E.T.A.? Please?
