Uhm, if you come in after midnight Friday what time will that put you at getting here? If it is between 3am and 4am than we will be up, but like 4-7am...not likely to happen. You could call when you are close and we will just open the door and see ya in teh morn. :)Moorluck |

So the little buggers just keep spreading outward from the SE where they started out at.So, are fireants more of a pain in the ass now because of "multi-queen" hives?
I read something about them ten years ago; it was maybe the new thing those bastards were doing.little bastards!
I don't know what it was, but there's this thing in Texas, a flying bug...
I had these little flowers in my back yard, and I noticed all the petals were on the ground. Then I saw one fall. Then another. And I looked and there was this bug......chopping the petals off of these flowers.
I was like, "what.....f%~@ing.....purpose could THAT POSSIBLY SERVE?"
I think it was flying. I'm not sure; it was a while ago. But it was chopping all the stuff off the flowers; maybe the leaves. I think it was flowers though.

Yeah, it's a bit long for driving on my own. :) And more like 11 hours. I'm a bit of a speed demon. :) Not to mention my sis would kill me if I went over there again without heading down to Florida to see her. But y'all have fun. :)

David, how did the Korean Cultural festival go yesterday? Was there good attendance?
The attendence was great. The theater where they were doing the entertainment portion holds a thousand people and that was packed. There was at least twice that many out in the lobby waiting for food and looking at displays. Sadly it was a school night and so we left at 8 and they hadn't started the entertainment because they had not anticipated the sheer volume of people who were going to show up. On a different note, they had kimchi on the tasting plate they were giving out. Kimchi is something that I have wanted to like but have never been able to stomach. However, this kimchi was really good. Not only did I eat all of my own, by I was swiping it off of my kids plates as well. The bulgogi they served wasn't as good as what I had made a few nights before though.

6'2" and 158 lbs in high school. Luckly my dad was a Navy SEAL and taught me how to defend myself or I would have been bullied a lot worse than I was.

I was home-educated, so I never had to deal with that stuff, thank God. However, by the time I reached college, I was six feet, bearded, and muscular, and evidently looked intimidating enough for nobody to bug me. Although the harassment seems to be far less frequent in that setting than in the earlier portions of school, anyway.

I was a scrawny one, too. Early on I got picked on a lot, but by high school I started diverting it with a quick wit. Bullies deflate pretty readily when you make fun of them so bad their friends start laughing at them.
It wasn't pretty, but there was no way I was winning a fight.

Ok yeah, so I was up all early, showered, got the girl showered, and out the door by 9:15 so that I could get the kiddies a pop tart for breakfast before therapy. Get there and teh dang therapist is on vacation. :\ Do you think maybe she should have mentioned that to the hubby last week? Poor boy is all disappointed, was looking forwar to playing a few games with her, and I needed to talk to her about somme stuff for school. Grrrr, oh well, I guess I'll just call when she gets back.
I do have to wonder though, we get a lil card after each visit with the date for the next visit. What did hubby do with that card?

Its harder for girls. We get picked on for being too big, not big enough, not the right hair, clothes, boyfriends, *shudder* I hated high school..and Middle School. When I was in the 11th grade I left my school to go to an Academy, it was public but smaller and kinda where all the people who didn't fit into general high school went. While there I had a blast. I made some good friends and did so much better academically. But in middle was when I had teh worst time, I pretty much dreaded school. In high school I ws in ROTC and had some fun there. I wouldn't relive those years for millions of dollars.

Yeah, I'm much more worried for my daughter than for my son. He went through middle school with an extremely laid back attitude, and he's already figured out he doesn't need to chase the popular kids. He's very comfortable with the friends he has. I'm not sure how my wife and I did it, but he generally seems to be avoiding the problems I had going through school.
My daughter is getting picked on for not having the "right clothes". So far, she seems to be doing OK with it. She's in 7th grade, and I'm hoping she can make it through the next two years.
