Uses his blindsight to canvas the whole balcony to make sure she isnt' there.

"She should be on this balcony near the practice area - her scent is really strong - but she isn't here. Anybody got any ideas before our day gets a whole lot worse...?"

"Flour?"

"She doesn't appear to be physically here, which is kind of worrying me..."

Time for me to commute. Back in an hour :)

And back for an hour :)

"What about flour? You know, to see if she's invisible?"

If Tristan can get a view, he scans the area and the balcony for any signs of Arielle. He's looking for any residue of magics or what not.

He looks at Allura then he looks to scan the area around him. His eyes shine blue.

There is an Arielle shaped glowing residue where she should be, but she is not currently there.

So tempting to drop a one-shot gate over her head and to suck her completely in with a flash and a bang....

Fortunately, the only alias(es) I have who could do that wouldn't do that, because what would be the point?

Frogskin opens his eyes.
"That's what it is! A very weak disturbance in the Dreamlands. Intriguing...but it can be left for others to deal with. I must concentrate..."
He closes his eyes again.

Rolling out for the evening. Night all :)

He tucks on Allura.

Tristan sighs. A wave of disappointment washes over him.

:::"We still gonna look for nasty shadows":::

Top o' the mornin' all.
I guess we go back to the shadowdancer problem...

Arielle pops back into existence exactly where she left from.

If there's anybody still watching the spot,
"Hi. Can't talk. I have an urgent message for Mom. I'll be right back."

She gets up and takes off down the hall at a run until she gets to LJ's room. She flings open the door and runs inside slamming the door behind her.

LJ feels JH's awakening. His life force is stronger than it ever was. More complex. More thirsting.

"Mom! The talking plant says he needs incarnum or his soul will get sucked into nothingness! I don't know what incarnum is, but he said you could give him some. And he said he didn't have much time left!"

LJ hugs Arielle tightly.

"Okay, honey. I'll take care of it. PlantJack may have the world's worst timing," she added sounding slightly amused, "but I'm not about to refuse help to a fellow Jack."

She pulled a bottle down from her dressing table to use as a vessel for the incarnum.

"You'll have to deliver this. But I want you to come back just as soon as you have. Absolutely no dilly-dallying, young lady."

She handed Arielle the bottle.

Arielle pops out holding the bottle.

Arielle pops back in without the bottle.

"Was that fast enough, Mom?"

"Yes, that was fast enough. We'll just hope that your intrusion wasn't noticed by any of those in charge of the dreamlands. Would you like to go and play with your friends now?"

Arielle nods.

"Mom...." She looks like she's worried about something.

"Arielle, where did.....aaaand she's gone." ;P

Devlyn activates his communication crystal as Arielle runs off.
"Good news - Arielle's back, and just went to see her mother. How's the other plan coming along, Djuhah?"

"It's okay, Arielle. Grandfather is going to teach you how to use weather magic. Power is difficult to learn how to use. But I know that you can do it. Trust yourself."

She gave Arielle another hug and kiss before letting her go join her friends.

"Somewhat faster now that we don't also have to worry about tracking down the goddess's daughter," he says, sounding exasperated.

A glowing green orb flies into the Eyrie. It stands outside the door to Lynora's room.

The door opens as Arielle is leaving. She looks at the orb and back at her mother questioningly.

"It's alright, Arielle. You can go find your friends."

She modifies the barrier to allow the orb to enter if it wishes.

Arielle walks around surprised to find the Eyrie so quiet, almost as if it were deserted. Finally she finds a whole crowd of people in the Hole in the Wall.

"What's going on?"

It does not. It zooms towards Arielle, and flies right in front of her forehead. it touches it, and vanishes.

Spoiler:
She now has the gift of prophecy.

Uh-oh, ninja-edit-fest. Sorry.

She hears a voice in her head, more like a memory.
"My gift to you..."

Devlyn smiles despite himself.

"I feel your pain, my friend. Let me know when things are ready. I'll be...wandering."

Mentally:
::Allura - Arielle's back and is okay. Last I saw her, she went to her mother's rooms. You might see her in a few minutes.::

He heads for the shadows and starts hunting in earnest.

:Well, that was fast wasn't it? Oh, I almosnt forgot,: he looks at Tristan, :didn't I offer you a flight?:

Driving time - back in a little bit ;)

A wisp of clouds blows down from the mountaintops, and the screech of an eagle pierces the afternoon. A man walks out of the mist.

Jorgen finds himself standing on the balcony of the room he, the other part of him, shares with Lyn. He relishes in the feel of the mountain air against his naked body, and the heat of sunlight upon it, his eyes closed for a moment. He breathes in deeply, as if it is a new sensation.

Umm, I hope that jar was some sort of spell, because I'm pretty sure that when I tried to tidy up the Realms of Dream and all my aliases and plots I had running at the time, I made it clear nothing physical goes in or out. :(
Spirit walks, astral projections, and wanderings by 'lost souls' are one thing, but physical dealings by most people who weren't already stuck there to start off with (EG 8th Runelord, possibly some of Kobold Cleaver's aliases, if he decided that they didn't get out in time) are another matter altogether.

And back for a little bit :)

She stands. She starts to step forward and then hesitates. He looked so familiar and yet so different.

"I'm not sure standing naked on the balcony is such a good idea given how many children there are running around this place." There is amusement and the slightest hint of uncertainty in her voice.

For simplicity's sake let's just say that it was.

Signing off for the evening. G'Night all :)

"Oh, I'm sorry, Lise...Lyn", as he hastily covers his strategic part with one hand and holding his Death Mask with the other. "It's me."

"I know. I could feel your heart beating from across the room. I'm just not used to seeing you with skin."

Hesitantly she reaches out to touch his face, her fingers brushing feather light across his cheek.

His green eyes twinkle as his face reacts to the tickle.

"I found out how we Jacks came to be," he offers quietly, tentatively. He reaches up to touch her face, but hesitates.

"That sounds like something I'd like to hear. I presume somewhere in this story is the explanation for why you just tried to call me by another name?" she added, an amused twinkle in her eyes.

Unconsciously she leaned closer to him as they talked.

He blushes a deep red "Yes. It's a long story. Shall we sit?"

"Maybe I should cover up a bit." He wraps a blanket around him and recalls his spirit walk and his discoveries.

She listened raptly as he related his story. As he finished she looked thoughtful.

"I wonder what happened to them. To the souls that were sacrificed to the Serpent."

"What do you mean people? No one is supposed to be able to get in if they mean harm to someone here. And if they try they're supposed to get planar shifted somewhere far away."

"They were spies, as far as we know they meant us no harm. A certain raen stated that they were not people though, and that they had ways around the wards. I have used some of my stronger spells to put up wards of my own, and I added a few twists for fun. Now a question for you. Where did you go? People were worried."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry anyone. I had to run an errand for Mom. An old friend of hers was asking for help, but was in a place she's not supposed to go. Something about professional courtesy and not wanting to open that can of worms again. Anyways, I had to act as a sort of courier."

This is the image that came to mind when she said courier.

"Well, if she knew, I guess it is okay. Now why don't you go see if Lk and Tristan want to play?"

"Maybe. Depending on what happened to the souls taken. There are squads of celestials who spend their time freeing souls unlawfully taken by demons, devils, or whatever the crazy cultist of the month happens to be. My mother used to do that a long time ago. But then her ambition drove her to things with a little more glory attached."
