Well, Pathfinder got me back with LoF

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I had dropped my subscription after RotRL, but the temptation is just too great. It's totally impractical; I doubt I could run it until years from now as I still have ST and RotRL to run. But I can't resist great adventures, even if it's just reading for fun.

A total sucker,
Thooly

Funny how that work's! ;)

I hope that yourself and Mr Jacobs keep staying involved in writing these things. You guys are good.

Though I worry about editing quality when you're putting out so much stuff every month!

yea, I started subscribing again. I wasn't all that interested in second darkness, but LoF and CoT sound like stuff I'd love to read. so I'm subscribing again. Its good to be a subscriber again.

Is anyone able to keep up with the output?

I am playing SC (about 8th level currently) and running RotRL (just finished Skinsaw)

so that means I have AoW, ST, CoCt, SD and now LoF to go.

I do have another group which will finish up in about 8 months - when I will start AoW. It takes us about 3 years to finish a Dungeon AP and probably 2 years to finish a pathfinder AP

and that isnt counting the pathfinder modules (of which I have run about 4).

A lot of folk (me included) don't run every RPG product they purchase. It's perfectly okay to just read an adventure for entertainment and never run it, is what I'm saying–you're not robbing yourself if all you do is read an adventure.

I was just able to resubscribe as well. I'm happy to get in at the beginning of this AP.

I'd say it is the perfect time for former subscribers to come back.

Another (happy) former subscriber back in the fold right here. Sending that free Player's Guide really did the trick.

Thanks for making your products irresistible, guys. :)

I haven't ran a single AP: I have the hardbound copy of SCAP, plus all the Pathfinder AP's thus far. I'm not sure when I'll have the chance to run one (soon I hope). But I read them, and look at the maps and artwork, and occasionally snag a bit of inspiration from them. So no, I don't keep up. I'm years behind and I haven't even tracked down ST or AoW.

We're giving it a shot. Our RotRL game (alternating Saturdays) is moving on-line, our CotCT game (alternating Sundays) is going strong, RotRL night is becoming SD night, and I'm adding a third evening (alternating Fridays) to start up LoF. We also have a home game on Thursdays, and I may run Council of Thieves then once it's released. I have no plans to add another night for Kingmaker, so hopefully we'll have finished one of the other APs (most likely CotCT) by then.

We're doing pretty good. RotRL is complete, and I'm running CotCT and LoF on alternating Saturday nights. One of the players has started running SD on Friday nights. Who knows if we'll have wrapped up one of those three by August, though.

That is an impressive amount of gaming.

I know I dont HAVE to play it all for them to be worth getting, but I WANT to. I consider this a real golden age of adventures- so I will get them all, read them all and play as many as I can. - Bring on the next adventure path/module

Liberty's Edge

snif
I want it
but I cant... need to cover debts first.... I will try to keep Chronicles... I love Chronicles :P

Companion would be good to... snif.

I am hoping to finish up part IV of RotRL tonight. I am not sure what I am going to with the other three adventure paths, because my group will not want to start over a Lvl one. I will probably work some parts of some of the adventure paths into the story line. Hey Paizo how about some epic stuff!!!!

Liberty's Edge

That would be cool to see, but it's probably still a bit early for anything Epic just yet! But like yourself & so many others, I do look forward to when they do arrive!

I'll be starting the 3rd adventure in the Rise of the Runelords campaign soon, but the fact is that you aren't required to use the adventure path if you don't want to. Each adventure can usually be modified to act as a standalone adventure, so there's good reason to keep the subscription even if you aren't using every one. I used to run an average of one Dungeon adventure for every three issues, and I still consider it one of the best values in gaming.

The nice thing is that when I leave things behind, I can always go back and run them later. For instance, I still plan to do something with that killer Isle of Dread issue of Dungeon from a few years back. Then there's that big Githyanki adventure, and the return (again) of Flame... and more.

But anyway, I for one am glad to see people back with the LoF adventure Path, as I know that's going to be excellent. I'm excited about this one in particular because the subject matter delves into some really cool mythos, and the adventures' authors are among the best in the business (if I say so myself).

Scarab Sages

I run two campaigns at a time, and seem to be keeping up alright. I was planning on doing one at a time, to start one campaign just as the next one begins (IE: Begin CotCT as SD starts to ship), then try to finish it in 6 months and start the next. That way all the parts would be out so I would have some time to prepare. As it stands, the games are taking longer than I thought, so I do two games now and space out the campaigns. Fridays is RotRL, Saturdays is SD (CotCT came to a close). Next on Fridays will be LoF, and next on Saturdays will be CoT. This way I get to run all the awesome adventures! ^_^

I like snagging bits and pieces here and there for my own monstrosities.

Like, I like (2nd AP spoiler)
Spoiler:
the weird jester elf chick from the 2nd AP Susperio something.....she'd easily slap in somewhere for some random mayhem and carnage; just a psychopath who's wrecked a party the pc's are going to in a rich guy's house or whatever

Liberty's Edge

But yeah; I'm really interested in this AP. Those guys Daigle made up, and this first one from Erik Mona really especially sounds cool.

The sad truth is that this AP has be actually hoping for a TPK in Gamer Girrl's CotCT campaign.

(Did I just say that out loud?)

But, I am really liking the Pathfinder Beta (Universalist) Wizard, and my character "Konrad Mandel" so I would really regret losing him. :(

It is a quandry.

Scarab Sages

My group has just started Scarwall and it should take us about a month to finish it. We take turns running an AP and I'll be running SD next. The DM for CotCT and I are both salivating at the thought of playing LoF and CoT.

For reasons I can't fathom, I am enjoying the heck out of reading my Second Darkness APs...but I don't have the immediately inkling to run them! I'm still having a blast! :-)

Sorry, hubband-mine, unlikely :) I'm having far too much fun with Crimson Throne!

Silver Crusade

LoF really has been a fantastic read so far. I'm trying to see if someone in my group will run it, even if it's on a day that prevents me from playing, just so they can get in on it as well. (I'm kind of tied up running CotCT, which is rocking hard for all of us right now)

Yeah, we were thinking of taking a break - we had run through RotR and are mostway through CotCT. Our GM read Second Darkness and gave it a vote of no confidence; we were going to do something else and wait for the first real-Pathfinder AP. But the first couple installments of LoF he's raving about so we may change our minds...

Our last gaming session we finished RotR. Due to strange circumstances. we are also just ready to begin the 3rd chapter of both CotCT and SD.

We play each AP once a month for a long Saturday. I would never cancel my subsciption but I figure LOF, and the next two APs will be out before I get a chance to start another. There will be three to choose from at that point - the good news is I may be able to start two of them around the same time. Of course it took a year and a holf to complete Runelords to that means when we get through the next ones there will be two or three more to choose from - of course if we get to Barsoom the choice will be easier...

Superscriber and loving it.

Not even close. I'm running RotRL and SD. It will take a few months for RotRL to wrap up as we're in #5. We just started SD, and I'm guessing it will take a couple years to finish that one.

So far, I'm pretty happy just reading these.
