I think I am going to have to bail on this game, sorry. But RL is taking a tole on me. After the holidays I am moving and packing is not going too well. I just don't have the time to get a character done and converted.

You could readvertise for another spot (or two) if you still need one more. I wouldn't necessarily call it dead just yet. :)

I would be interested. Need to track down the other thread to see about the storyline then work on putting in a character. Not really gotten a chance to make use of my Saga rules or bother to read them much since I never used them.

Alright, I would like to get started by next week, so if you could have characters done by Friday, that would be great. Here is the thread that has the setting information if anyone needs it.

Character is almost done.

She'll be finished (if not fully entered onto the site) by Monday, ready to get started.

She changed somewhat from my initial concept, although still has a similar feel.

If you see some STATS that don't quite make sense it's because I just copied/pasted the sheet from my other character and have yet to change the data over.

Jawa Species Traits

Spoiler:

Ability Modifiers: -2 Strength, +2 Dexterity
Size: Small
Speed: Base Speed is 4 squares
Darkvision: Ignore concealment from Darkness. They cannot perceive colour in total darkness.
Desert Dweller: May re-roll Survival Checks to resist the effects of extreme heat. If they do so they keep the better result.

I also bought the Clone Wars Campaign Guide today. Looks interesting but I only got to have a flip in the shop. Been a tad busy writing and brainstorming the last couple of days. =D


There wasn't a response to the Gamer Connection thread so am I the one in the game or someone else? If so, then unfortunately I won't be able to put a character up until Sunday because of work-issues, if not then, okay.

Hey y'all, Flash mentioned this game might still like another character
(I had hoped to join another game starting up, but it didn't work out)

I noticed someone had an idea for a Jawa Outlaw-Tech type, which is VERY similar to the character/party role I had in mind (minus the Jawa), but it doens't look like they've posted in a while, so perhaps it would work?

Anyhow, here's my character concept if it works out: (working name: Ulula Sargasso)

An Aquar (gene-spliced amphibian near-human), growing up mostly on idyllic unspoiled aquatic planet with scientist parents amongst largely Aquar/MonCal research & support crew (maybe familiar with other 'wild' planets on a shorter term basis). Enter war, disruption, refugee status, and she finally parlayed her decent education and intuition into various "grey" technical occupations revolving around space "salvage" / general "Outlaw Tech" type work on space stations and Outer Rim trade hubs, managing to steer clear of the worst/most violent pirate gangs , but not exactly naieve anymore. She would likely be a Scoundrel/Scout multiclass. I also figured having a decent CHA and Social Skills to match, if that helps suggest her party role.

Here is background on the Aquar species, from Coruscant & Core Worlds (d20 pre-SAGA)
I also found some "DIY" SAGA-updated species stats on some messageboard, the C&CW book only listed Commoner stats and was pre-SAGA anyways (It's basically a Mon-Cal'ified Human). My only confusion was re: Swim, whether it should be a bonus Trained Skill, always be a Class Skill, or what...? The SAGA book doesn't really seem to detail under-water/swimming stuff at all, much less specify what having a "Swim Speed" implies vs. not.

The Aquar were a water-breathing near-Human species inhabiting the planet Velusia. The Aquar were an offshoot of Humans who colonized Velusia thousands of years ago and evolved into their present form. An Aquar typically had blue or green skin covered in fine scales, with partially webbed fingers and toes, green hair, and large eyes. Aquar noses were flat, with gill-like horizontal slits in place of nostrils.

They lived a peaceful life of subsistence on Velusia, harvesting fish and plants from the oceans and raising herd animals on the few above-water mountains. When scouts from the Nexcore Mining Corporation arrived on Velusia, they assumed the Aquar were natives and used them as cheap labor and supplanted their culture.

AQUAR SPECIES TRAITS
Ability Modifiers: none.
Medium Size: As Medium creatures, Aquar have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Speed: Aquar base speed is 6 squares. They have a swim speed of 6 squares.
Breathe Underwater: As amphibious creatures, Aquar can't drown in water.
Conditional Bonus Feat: Aquar with Mechanics as a trained skill gains Skill Focus (Mechanics) as a bonus feat.
Expert Swimmer: An Aquar may choose to reroll any Swim check, but the result of the reroll must be accepted even if it is worse. In addition, an Aquar may choose to take 10 on Swim checks even if distracted or threatened.
Low-light Vision: Aquar ignore concealment (but not total concealment) from darkness.
Weapon Familiarity: Aquar with the Weapon Proficiency (simple) feat are proficient with Magna Bolas.
Automatic Languages: Basic.
