Brew Potion / Scribe scroll

Skills and Feats

Read the new rules on item creation. Don't like the time taken rule for potions and scrolls.

Now, although they have made it so you can brew/scribe a low level potion/scroll at the end of the day while on watch if you still have a spell spare, you can't do more than one per day. There maybe balance reasons, which I will cover, but this makes no sense in game. Why would you be unable to brew more than one potion if the cost is <250? The task can be done in 2 hours, so that still leaves another 6 for the next one. Should you not be able to double batch it?

Mainly its all about CLW. Our Cleric has not taken brew potion as its not that useful in comparison to the other feats. There is a level limit on the potions so the really powerful spells can't be used and frankly the GP costs of the lower spells are not normally worth their effect. i.e CMW may give +8 HP but even on average you may only get +4, not worth 50pg. Plus once you get higher CLW become almost worthless in battle aside from stabilisation. So to increase the usefulness of this feat so it will get used:

For every 2 Caster levels you may brew one additional potion (possibly limit this to healing) providing it costs <250gp.

This would allow players to stock up on without wasting lots of time in game. If you want to throw lots of gp into potions rather than save for perment magic items then no prob.
