I was thinking Cleric 10/Divine champion 10 - that gives me good melee power and 9th level spells. It's probably better to have Heironeous as a patron deity instead of Hextor...

A further thought - should I keep the martial cleric, or should I go for a Mystic Theurge build (that'll make me, effectively, a Clr 17/Wiz 13). I also think there's a Warlock/Cleric combo in Complete Arcane...

Alright, I'm down to 20,850 gp to spend. Also, one question: is my constitution bonus recursive for my rage/hit points? (i.e. do I base my them on the constitution bonus I had at that level, or my current bonus?)

Empathy. Doing the blasted maps was what put me off for longer than the prospect of rolling for 7 monsters and working out flanks and combat advantage. There have been times when I've been close to throwing the whole computer out the window.

Or you could change your weapon to a greataxe and make it keen.

Actually, considering that you have Devastating Blow, you should definitely use a greataxe instead of a greatsword. Backhand Swing + Devastating Blow + Greataxe = Horrible pain. :D
