Undead and Critical Hits

Ability Scores and Races

Hello!

Been running PF since Alpha 3, and so far we're having a great time. I must ask, however, about critical hits. Other than the blurb under sneak attack, we have no real information about who and what is immune to sneak attack and if those differences apply to critical hits or not.

This has come up several time and this is the first time I've managed to remember about it between games.

Any information regarding this out there somewhere?

My make-do rule has been to make undead vulnerable to sneak attacks and critical hits, but give them bonus hp per hit die equal to their Charisma modifier.

Most people are just leaving incorporeal undead immune to sneaks and crits, from what I've heard on the boards.

I allow sneak attack damage to anything thats not incoporeal/gaseous, an elemental, or an ooze. However I grant DR based on hit dice.

1-5 hit dice ~ DR 5
6-10 hit dice ~ DR 10
11-19 hit dice ~ DR 15
20 + hit dice ~ DR 20

Or you could just grant DR equal to it's hit dice [nice and easy!].

I use the same system with Undead Turning. The more hit dice, the more resistant an undead creature will be to being damaged.

Thanks for the suggestions.
