One of my biggest problems with D&D in recent years is "rules bloat". One of the nicest things of D&D of old is most editions didn't have to have a rule for everything under the sun. improvising is some of the fun for me as a DM (well and i never understood why illusionist and magic user were separate classes or at least had separate sections--too me an illusionist was a wizard with illusion related spells--much like i don't see why the wizard and sorcerer are separate in D&D3xE). A perfect example is AoO. For me, they don't add a whole lot to the game and slow game play down.
I just hope that Pathfinder either cuts down on crunchiness or offers a "pathfinder lite" (PDF or otherwise).

I kind of doubt they're going to cut down on the crunchiness. However, it's not too hard to "convert" the game to "Pathfinder Lite." Basically, just look at the range of DCs given for various uses of skills, and use those numbers as a guideline to create a scale of DCs based on estimated difficulty of the task. Then you can use your own scale to eyeball everything without having to look up rules for skills.
