A'loran steps up "ask and Ye shall receive" with a quick arcane gesture one of Anmuspi's arrows is radiating light.
"I'll be in the back providing support. Lets conserve as much energy as possible cleaning out the rest of their lair. It seems that heavy armor is working well against them. Unless of course your caught in a trap. If we run into a large group of them I'll hit them with a sleep spell. That should knock some of them out but they'll still need to be run through before they become awake." A'loran then prepares himself at the back of the group... with his sack of heads.
what I mean by conserving energy is having healing surges at the end of the day. If people get down to 1 or 2 healing surges we should think about taking a full rest to restore dailys. I still have 5 so I'm good.

"As well they should. The circle of life is nothing to be feared. But now is not the time to break into song as you say, let's get to protecting the living from these lizards." Kava moves to stand at the south-eastern exit to the room.

"If the previous experience of these devils (no offense intended *usk-sthyr*) is anything to judge, whomever is in the next room shall attempt to coax us into some trap or other, while assailing us from a distance or while immobilised. "hmmm" Kava wonders out loud, she walks back and takes a sling and a bag of stones/bullets from one of Brianna's neat piles of loot.

For your convenience, I'm moving Demon and Brianna up with the rest of the party.
Anmuspi heads down the stairs and launches an arrow into the room and everyone hears it clatter against stone. This chamber looks like it was once a tomb, but the kobolds have transformed it into what you might almost call a playground.
Four stone coffins lie here, with a sludge-filled pit between them. On the opposite end of the room is a pair of wooden double doors. Flanking the double doors are two raised platforms, both 10 feet above the floor. Two kobolds stand on each platform.
Arrayed on the coffins are several animal skulls, all of them arranged in small piles. One kobold holds a sludge-drenched stone tied to a long rope that is secured in the ceiling.
Green squares are the sludge filled pit. Gray squares are raised platforms. The closed brackets are doors. And <--> is a coffin.
Anmuspi gets to act first, followed by Demon, A'loran, and then Brianna. And I added in Block's initiative boost for everyone.

"I am thinking Demon and Anmupsi taking cover behind the stone tombs and attacking them from a distance. Sergent and I will be ready to charge whatever comes out of that gate. Be wary of that paste those slingers throw. It stuck Brianna in place when we entered." The last bit she informs Sergeant Block remembering he wasn't with them at the entrance.
"A'loran. That thunder spell might come in handy blowing them back off the platform."

"What?!? whats wrong with hiding behind the tombs and blasting them from afar." Nodding his head at the plan "besides my teleport is pretty taxing. I could get up there but if I got in trouble I wouldn't be able to get out again. Lets concentrate on the slinger on the left side first."
"demon why don't you take the corner where Anmuspi is since you probably won't make it all the way to the tombs and still be able to attack one. Anmuspi, I'll be following you up"
When my turn comes up I'll move to AA26 and target S1 with a magic missle.

"Nothing is wrong Eladrin, hence my suggesting it. That's a much better plan though. Your teleporting will save danger to usk-sthyr. He can just as easily blast from back here correct? Watch out for traps in those skulls on top of those tombs."

Anmuspi dodges into the room and does a spurious shoulder roll to end up behind the far coffin. From there he lines up his shot targeting S2, and let's loose a stream of arrows.
Move: Travel 6 squares to AB29 and gain cover.
Minor: Hunter's Quarry on S2
Standard: Split the Tree (2 arrows - 1st arrow at +7 to hit, doing 2x10+5+1d8 damage to S2, 2nd arrow at +7 to hit, doing 2d10+5 damage to K2)
Action Point: Twin Strike (1st arrow at +7 to hit for 1d10+1 damage to S2, 2nd arrow +7 to hit for 1d10+1 damage on K2)
If either one drops early, extra arrows to the other.

Anmuspi rolls into position and looses two arrows at once. At the last second the arrows seperate; one into S2 and one into K2. K2 falls backwards with an arrow in his chest. Westman nods in approval as Anmuspi aims a couple more arrows. The first arrow ends S2's life and the second arrow finds a home in S1's shoulder.
Anmuspi hit S2 for 17, and K2 for 13. S2 is bloodied and K2 is dead. Anmuspi heals 2 hp's. Anmuspi hits S2 for 9, killing S2. Anmuspi hits S1 for 11.
Demon follows Anmuspi and ducks behind a coffin. A'loran is right on Demon's heels (having expected the construct to stop on the stairs) and nearly hits Demon with an energy dart when they get behind the coffin.
Brianna is up next. BTW A'loran, I think Kava wanted you to use your thunder wave from back here; I don't think she realized it's a close blast.

Kava doesn't really know anything about non divine magic, and is happy for her comrades to do as they will (as long as they are relitively safe while she is out of protecting range).
"Wow!" Kava exclaimes reflexively at Anmuspi's amazing spectacle "Just call out if you need help Ranger. Like a shoulder rub or a cookie."

As soon as Brianna moves into position, K1 steps forward and lets go of what appears to be a glowing green rock suspended from the cieling by a rope. It swings down in a narrow arc, barely missing Brianna, and back up to towards the other ledge. Another kobold comes to the top of that ledge just in time to grab the rope.
Kava's turn, then Westman.

Kava hussles down the stairs with the kobolds sling in hand. Bursting in to the room wizzing the stone around her head she lets fly directly at the evil lizard with the rock weapon so cruely aimed at her (very capable of defending herself thank you!) friend.

Kava nails the kobold right between the eyes with a sling stone. The kobold goes crosseyed and pitches forward, off the ledge.
Kava crits K1 for 6 points and K1 is dead.
Westman block proves handy with a javelin as his lands in S1's gut.
Westman crits S1 for 10 points.
S1 launches a glue pot at Brianna before moving out of view.
Brianna is immobilized. Back to Anmuspi, Demon, A'loran, then Brianna.

Anmuspi steps over Brianna, moves forward to the far coffin, focuses on K3, rips off a shot, and then dodges around the far side of that coffin.
"Pardon me Bri, maybe I can draw their fire while you break free..."
Move Action: Move to AH30
Minor: Hunter's Quarry on K3
Standard: Evasive Strike on K3, +7 to hit, 2d10+5+1d8 damage on a hit. Move to AH28 and drop to a knee.

"Caught in the honey pot again." Kava smirks "If we rapped Baker in pastry and icing sugar we could have a weloh sized sweet roll"
As the ranged attackers have been beaten back Kava hussles over towards the gate to protect Anmuspi. double move to AJ28, minor action draw flail.

Demon delays.
A'loran moves forward and prepares to cast.
Brianna fails to free herself.
Then a kobold appears at the top of the southern ledge and tries to grab the rope. A'loran flings a magical dart at it, but misses. It then swings the muddy rock across at A'loran. The heavy rock strikes the wall, leaving a smear of greenish sludge, then swings back toward the kobold.
I'll have Demon jump in now and attack the kobold.
Demon's ball of energy sends the kobold flying backwards.
Demon hit K4 for 13 points and K4 is dead..
Kava hustles over to the doors, weapon in hand.
It is Westman's turn.

I would like to assess how difficult it would be to climb the platform.

The slinger appears just long enough to whip a stone at Demon before shifting back out of sight. Luckily it's deflected by the ledge.

Is there a climbing bonus for usingthe dragonborns face as a ladder? I figure Kava is the biggest and strangely least likely to climb up.
Kava whipsers "stand on my back and fire over the edge when that crouching little miscreant come back for another shot" She uses the wall to brace herself for anyone wanting to use her as a ladder/platform

A'loran dissappears, and reappears on the northern platform. He taps his staff on the ground and you hear the yelp of a kobold.
A'loran hits S1 for 6 points, and S1 is dead. He also hits D1 for 6 points.
The Thunderwave also manages to push a large reptile that waited at the base of the stairs. A'loran recognizes it as a guard drake. The drake recovers and bounds up the stairs to bite A'loran.

Still using staff of defense for first hit every encounter
"awww crap who left one of these here. Uuummm guys... they have a guard drake"
Before it recovers I would like to use an action point and Hit the guard drake with a force orb. i'm also assuming the rope is on the other side of the room.

The rope is on the southern ledge. And here is guard drake info I didn't have time to post this morning:
Guard drakes are common pets with keen senses. In the wild, they’re pack predators not unlike wolves, and their clutches sometimes include spitting drakes.
Before the drake reaches the top of the stairs, A'loran rushes through an incantation and hurls an orb. Unfortunately, in his haste the orb misses completely.
Kava, the divine strength will only help if you do damage to the door, not with a strength check. You can try to destroy the door with damage.
