Skills, a new list, what do you think?

Acrobatics
Appraise
Athletics
Deception
Diplomacy
Craft (each seperate as current list)
Disable Device
Escape Artist
Heal
Intimidate
Knowledge skills (each seperate as current list)
Linquistics
Perception
Perform (each seperate as current list)
Profession (each seperate as current list)
Ride
Spellcraft
Stealth
Survival
Thievery
Use magic device

these skills seem to cover all the bases without having 2 for same thing IE: no need to have bluff and deception as both do the same thing


You may want to read alittle more friend, alot of this has changed.


no these are the skills I am suggestion makes the final list, I have the last posted download of the alpha rules and theres alot of skills that just need to be trimed/changed IMO.


It threw me off when you said that bluff and deception should be combined because bluff and sense motive are combined to make deception.


Aye my bad, I ment Bluff and disquise need to both be in deception no need to have both, just like, climb and swim need to be in athletics, and sense motive needs to go into perception, I still say drop Fly as it seems like a skill that will just get passed over as noone can fly at lower level anyhow

With the new skill sistem, use magic device is for any class, I like change that for a rogue talent (from level 2th) and a class hability for Bard and Sorcerer.

Less is definitely not more in this instance, if you aks me. What's the point of consolidating a small number of skills?

Besides,it still seems quite arbitrary: why is Ride not a part of Athletics then, is that just because it's not Strength-based? Why not stick Heal and certainly Appraise under some Knowledge skill or other? Why is Open Lock part of Thievery, but not Disable Device? And so on...
