Would a simple Skill Focus (Survival) be in order for creatures that would normally receive Track as a bonus feat? I'm restatting a dire badger and, while it's not terribly important, I'd like to get a semi-official answer before getting too far into the system.
If they get track as a bonus feat, i give them a racial bonus of +4 to Survival instead.
If they have track as a regular feat, you could solve it that way.
Track is also a prereq for some other feats and prestige classes. I guess Skill Focus (Survival) might be a reasonable replacement feat here, especially if PRPG Rangers happen to get it for free.
