We've learned that Comcast started blocking all mail to their users from paizo.com last Friday, due to our sending mail "with patterns characteristics (sic) of spam." They say they've removed the block today, but dozens of order confirmations, shipping notices, and customer service responses were delayed. Our mail server is attempting to reprocess them now. (As far as we know, no messages were lost.)

So yesterday, they sent me a message that they've removed us from their block list, but they haven't actually done so, and we have over 2000 messages queued up for comcast customers now.
They also refuse to answer my queries about how to prevent us from being mistaken for spammers, or, as they continue to state, sending mail "with patterns characteristics of spam." (Yep—six months later, they still have the same typo in their form letter.)
I'm pretty annoyed at this point.

I'm pretty annoyed at this point.
Comcast annoyed me when they came and stole my cable modem after I cancelled my service with them (they said thier records indicated that I was leasing it, even after I produced a reciept for having purchased the damn thing) and then they tried to sue me when I refused to pay my final bill until we had resolved the modem issue.
I am glad that we have a choice here in tacoma... go Click!

Is reverse DNS enabled on Paizo's outgoing email?
I know that if you do not have reverse DNS enabled, Comcast will block you.

We follow pretty much all industry best practices regarding our mail server, including proper reverse DNS.
It looks like after I e-mailed pretty much every must-accept address I can think of (postmaster, abuse, etc.) they finally unblocked us for real, and all those messages went through. They're still refusing to answer my question on how to get whitelisted so this won't happen again, though.

I use comcast, and just received the "This Week ..." e-mail. Hopefully the whitelist situation can get resolved.
hey Vic, I know this might be impossible, but can you check to see if my emails are going through... its been 2 subscription shipments since I actually got one from you guys, and I've noticed a severe drop in the amount of email I've gotten in that time, I think somethign may be screwy with my system

Everything looks okay from our side. It's always possible that your mail server is silently discarding our messages, though.... Check with your ISP?
