Check out the How Do You Spell "Lich"? Thread.
Note: this is my first time trying to set up a link; I hope it works -- if not, someone else can show you the "How do you pronounce 'Lich'?" Thread.

Damn!
How'd you do that Jade?
You set up the link the way you're supposed to. There were only two places where you didn't get it right. One was that the url you sent us to was just paizo.com You need to go to the thread in question, and copy/paste that page's long address into your brackets. The only other thing you missed was that you didn't put an end quote right before the last bracket (of the first set of brackets).
Apparently there's another way to get this done, but that's how I do it.
Don't be fooled about the writing between brackets... it's nothing but a clickable symbol for the user... it doesn't actually steer the link. You could put Eat Big Cookie between the brackets and it would still send you to the Lich thread so long as the right URL was between quotes within the first set of brackets.
So, if I wanted to send someone to this post I'd put (I'm erasing the first bracket so the link won't work):
url="http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/dnd/howDoYouPron ounceYuanTiAndOtherForkedTongueQuestions&page=1#327481"] Whatever You Want Here [/url]

I tend to err on the side of phonetics when it comes to fantasy words (although having said that, I’m unsure whether yuan-ti is made up or a real word).
I pronounce it either “you-an tee” or “you-an tie” although I’m aware that may not be considered correct.
You're right- "you-ahn tee". I want to say someone on the WotC site confirmed this back when they published _Serpent Kingdoms_ for Forgotten Realms.

The only crossed wires i've had is when somebody tried to pull me up for saying Chimera; "Khimera".
He told me that was an affectation and that the first part rhymed with chimney.
I replied that Ancient Greek doesn't have a "ch" sound, so it has to be Khimera.
We're still friends.
Which leads me to ponder, why does dnd have chimeras but no Echidna?

Here is something related(ish) I noticed this morning on my way to work:
How would you phoentically pronounce police?
Is it:
Poe-lice?
Poo-lice?
silent "e" po-lick?
(EDIT: I know how it is actually pronouced but just break down this common word and you see why there is so many.. interpretations of D&D and even classical mythology words)
