Scardd steps out from the bathhouse and greets Tuon with a nod. He seems like an almost totally different Half-Orc. He is now fully clothed, which hides the scarring on his body. The only noticeable marks are on his face, and these truly tell a tale of torture now that the recently washed away dirt is not there to hide the story. “Well, off to find work, then?”
Did I pick up all of the supplies I needed or did I still need to go to another shop? If I still need to go to another shop, should we say that we went?

The ol' cliche. I came to seek my fortune.

"Massage you mean. Well its a way of relaxing with a woman, she kneads your muscles until you ..... eh-hum until your time is up."
"I'll be back for another one day. Worth every silver I paid. Fine piece of work here."
Tuon pulls his sword out briefly and checks its edge. Force of habits engrained so deep he doesn't even realise he is doing it.

Creed stops in is tracks and doubles-over with laughter at Tuon's explanation. When he straightens and wipes the tears from his eyes, he says, "Until your time is up. I'll say! Haw! Fine piece of work. Indeed! HAWHAWHAW!!!" And again the big man is laughing so hard he can hardly breathe.

Scardd listens to Tuon's answer, then watches Creed break out into laughter. It is obvious to Scardd that he is missing something, and he becomes curious. "Maybe vy vill get a mezage vehn vy earn enough zilver. Zu zeem quite relaxed, Tuon." Then he gives a big smile, his rotted teeth displaying their lack of care.

After getting cleaned up everyone gathers their gear and heads off the couple blocks to the the Giants Skull. A large skull shaped sign hangs above the door of the large inn and already from the sounds inside you can tell that some people probably started pretty early today.
The bar covers the whole right wall and there are over a dozen tables spread across the large room. A large fireplace sits in the center of the main seating area and stairs lead up to a walkway to what look like rooms. Hanging above the bar is an actual giants skull, its empty eyes gazing over the crowd in the tavern.
Behind the bar a muscular half-elf with just a start of graying hair is talking to a younger looking half-elf women sitting at the bar absently petting a large black dog.
A group of people break out in loud cheers and another group lets out shouts of disappointment over by a large circular board with a bulls-eye on it. A small halfling dressed in black leather armor and nearly a half dozen daggers strapped to him walks up and pulls out three dagger from the board while the crowd around him start exchanging money with glee and bitter anger.
NPCing Galen
Galen looks around, "Find a table and start making some inquiries I am sure some one in hear can find us some work. I am going to head back to my old barracks and see what I can learn there. When I was part of the Swordstars there was always a job that we needed done that wasn't quite acceptable by our superiors and we often hired out. I will meet you back here when I find something out."
Galen says his goodbyes and walks back out the door.
Galen when you return go ahead and reenter when you see fit.
XP time everyone gets 250 for the encounter with the thief and Keepers Watch. Everyone should have enough to level up. Galen and Creed you both have a total of 1000 just so everyone is pretty close together.

Great! How do you want us to add hit points? Any other house rules regarding leveling up?
I don't have any house rules for leveling just stay in the books mentioned in the beginning. As far as hit points you can take half your hit dice or roll, your choice.
Once everyone levels up I might add some things for flavor.
Creed of Kord
Creed's second level hit points = (1d8+1=4)
I'll finish his stats soon.

Fair Tuon Clawed goes up and orders drinks for Scarrd, Rod and himself. Then he takes a seat near the entrance and waits.
Spoiler for Bri and Dreamweaver

Scardd, unfamiliar with bar etiquette, follows his companions like a lost puppy. Finding a seat, the Half-Orc looks around and gets acquainted with the setting. Tuon joins them with some tankards of drink which Scardd accepts graciously. He is about to thank the Human once again, but then thinks better of it, considering that Tuon probably does not want to be thanked. He sits there for awhile, attempting to get a feel for the place while checking the sites and listening in on what can be heard.

"Isn't there something about ladies going first! Gee thanks for ordering the lady a drink" Bri says as she climbs up next to Tuon. Bri kneels on her chair so that she can get a better look at where the bartender is so that she can get herself a drink. While Bri is up she takes a look around hoping that there is nobody here she knows. Spot: 6+5=11 Listen: 4+8=12

"Zo, vhat kind of vork zhould we loook for? Tuon, I zenze zat zu do thiiiz alot. And Bri. How about zu? Zu uzzed to loooking for vork?"
"I've considered getting work here myself, but saw that quaint shop back there and decided to drop by. Now, I'm pretty sure that we aren't exactly going to be mistaken for barmaids here, so we shouldn't have to wait long for something to happen."
Fair Tuon Clawed
"As a mercenary and bodyguard I took orders. Never had to find work, it finds me. But we have already come to the attention of the watch - any trouble here and the watch will have us for breakfast. What this needs is a nice friendly halfling to get us a job, not a grizzled half-orc or ugly man."
Tuon stares about the room and sups his drink.
Bri Leagallow
Scardd considers Tuon's statement, then turns slowly to Skiddifig, "Are zu ze friendly Halfling? Vy do not thiiink Tuon meanzz Bri." His eyes shift to the kneeling Bri for a moment before landing back on Skiddifig.
"What is that susppose to mean! I am a very nice halfling when I want to be and as far as a job is concerned it depends on what are plans are here in this dump of a down. How long is everyone planning on staying here? I guess we could ask around this joint to see if anybody needs some work done, perhaps something exciting like finding someone who is lost or maybe tracking down a criminal that needs to be found discretly." Bri looks about to see if anybody stands out as someone they should talk to. Spot: 14+5=19

Throw out some Gather Information and Listen checks to see what you find.
Once everyone takes a seat the bartender waves one of his barmaids over to the bar and has her take over as he walks around the far end of the bar grabbing a long staff as he rounds the corner. He works he way through the crowd with an uneven gait using the staff as support. He soon reaches your table and leans on his staff. He is strong man with brown hair, a small goatee and is left leg has some metal brace strapped on with leather.
"My tavern is usually filled with regulars, they come and go but you are faces I haven't seen before. First off don't start trouble and you wont get any, second, new comers get a free drink if they share a good tale."
He shifts his weight off his left leg and leans on the bar. "My name is Regdar and I own this place, let me know if you need anything."

Scardd looks up at the barkeep and nods his head.
Story. I wish I had a story to tell. I sure could use a free drink. Even though Tuon is paying now, I don’t think I can count on his generosity to much longer. My story: I woke up chained in a cave. Saved from being a bear’s dinner. Fought some Goblins. Came to Keepers Dale. Almost got arrested while a thief got away. Nah, not much of a story,
the Half-Orc thinks to himself.
Using previous Listen Check (Roll 17+0=17), Gather Information Check (11+1=12)
Scardd takes Tuon’s advice and does not attempt to talk to anyone. Instead, he sits there casually drinking while bending an ear toward nearby conversations.
Eventually the Half-Orc leans across the table to speak quietly with Tuon. “Vy believe zey are talking about zu and Rodereeek, ztopping ze raid on ze caravan. I vonder vy thiiiz zity iizz not trying to ztop ze raidzzzz.”
Scardd’s attention is then drawn to a young girl at the bar speaking with Regdar. The Half-Orc quietly mumbles to himself while looking with sympathetic eyes, “Vy hope your brother doez make iiit here zafely.”
Eventually, the Half-Orc leans back in his chair and takes another sip before resting the mug on the table. He turns his head to capture the attention of his companions and says in a serious tone, “Thiizz plaze hazz many problemzzz.”
\-*^/
After several moments of silence, Scardd looks up wide eyed, "Vith ze day zat we had, vy forgot about ze place called Roaming Orc in Balonzzzz Bizarre. After ve finizzh our buzinezzzz here, vy zhall looook for ziizz plaze. Any of zu care to join me? Vy might be able to find zome anzwerz zere."
Scardd then looks around for their waitress. Once she gets close, he says to her, "Vy need to find Balonzzzz Bizarre and ze Roaming Orc.

Scardd looks over at Tuon and shakes his head, "Vy have no idea. Iizz thiizz Varlock thiiing behind all ze troublez?"
"Warlock? Whatever that would be it would be something unnatural and strange. Even the druids are better than some vile creature that gets its power from demons." Suddenly realizing what he has said, Skidd gasps. "I-I mean, I'm certain that your dwarf druid was fine. No offense intended."
