Finally got a day off (two, actually), so I'll update after I wake up this evening. Cold pizza, Diet Coke, and PbP's for me tonight!
Sorry for the delay, been a bit of a crazy week. Got the totaled car thing settled, had a bad migraine, had our personal Christmas early, and then yesterday an ice dam caused water to sheet down through the upstairs and into the house via the back door frame. Spent most of the day doing laundry and cleaning up after that mess (walls are trashed and will need…something), and I have to take my wife to a Doctor’s appointment today, but otherwise I think I’m caught up. Not having internet access at work isn’t helping either.
I know it has been like…crap..a week…I think..now, but I assure you, not dead and not awol. Almost have my crap together…should be back shortly.
Figured the holidays would be a little busy (and how) for everyone. Finally done with my personal shizzle, but I need to run up to our parent's this week.

I've been reading the adventure so far...trying to keep up with whats going on. And was thinking if/when i play.. i was thinking somthing pirate-y i have most of the savage tide issues and i was excited by the pirate aspect of it all...i'm a big pirate nut lol.
But even if i'm not able to join in, its still a very interesting read...i wish my regular group could get alongthis well...or at least roleplay themselves out of a wet paper bag lol. so keep up the good work.

Beeler, I got no problems adding in another player here. Also I have a question about my dude's eye symbiont, eventually Terin is gonna have a disagreement with his eye and rip it out. How could I regain a semblance of sight in that eye? I wrote up an item for Nick Logue's Sinister adventures contest that is an eyepatch for pirates who have lost an eye.
Here it is as I wrote it for him----A dark green eel-skin eye-patch with a platinum setting set in the center which holds a red ruby. The eye-patch is magical and bestows a constant effect of blindsight to a distance of 30 feet. Because the effect is only on the eye being covered by the patch there is some perception issues in wearing the patch. The wearer takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls and a -2 to spot and search checks. Closing one eye does not eliminate these penalties. The patch can be worn over an eye socket that is missing the orb and still function making this an item that is desirable to those who have lost some degree of vision. (I came up with a cost of 13200 GP (using See Invisibility, spell level 2, caster level 3, continuous use wondrous item, 10minute/level spell duration, -2 attack, spot, and search. ((2 X 3) X 2000) X 1.5 =18000 - (4000 + 400 + 400) = 13,200) total but due to the higher quality materials used this item is worth 15000 GP)

Perhaps something similar but without the blindsight and instead with darkvision or low-light vision(with a lower cost)? Also I expect that Mr. Shiny will scoop up the symbiont with some alacrity so don't worry about losing it as a RP item, I just don't see Terin putting up with it for much longer.
Terin can start saying "Arrrr!" soon after.....
I'm still lurking about, in case anyone is worried. Rotten weather coupled with a single vehicle that sucks in rotten weather is eating up my play time as of late. Got a line on 5.5% financing and have a quote on a AWD vehicle, so hopefully remedied soon.
As for the eye, I'm fine either way (the ripping or the remaining). His primary focus is to wail on Vanthus, so provided you don't deviate too far from that goal, shouldn't be a real conflict, though he might have a few behavioral "suggestions" here and there. If you do end up removing it forcibly...eh, we'll work something out to get you another eyeball or eyeball equivalent. Can't have you running about without depth perception now!
