Dan got the job. It's all official and everything. And it's local, so no having to move or anything. Yay! :)

We're using the gift card we got from doing the autism research study to go out to dinner to celebrate.

So have they linked Autism to something similar to Alzimers? Apparently its the consequence of Plaques hardening in the brain...plaques which are produced elsewhere in the body (and are made up of Debris DNA/Protiens - meaning it may be the side effect of a virus we havnt identified yet - a virus transferable between humans by contamination via plaque transfer).

Um, no. There is a possible link to birth trauma, but not yet enough data collected to say conclusively. It's nothing at all like Alzheimer's. Nothing whatsoever to do with plaques. Not according to any of the studies I've read. Should you know of any that say otherwise in a reputable scientific journal please feel free to point them out to me. I'm always looking to learn more about it.

And thanks for the congrats about the job guys. :)

How about "Super Voodoo Extra Magic Sleep Day?"

Scarab Sages

Mmmmmmm....super voodoo.

Day 4 of reduced headaches. After almost 9 months since my brain hemorrhage. I've been waiting for a sign of progress and it has arrived!

Still need Tylenol 1-2 times a day due to workload/fall sinuses/reduced dull pain, but that's down from 3-4 doses a day. And the headaches are a different type. Still have a ways to go, and a hearing problem to get sorted out, but this old tree is grateful to see some progress.

Glad to know you're enjoying signs of improvement. Here's hoping you continue your upward swing.

How about "Super Voodoo Extra Magic Sleep Day?"

You mean "gaming night" when you get that extra hour of gaming fun!

Either of those alternatives works for me. :)

We just had a Fridge and a washing machine that my wife won in a competition delivered...

I have never said this about a fridge before but... its beautiful individual temperature controlled compartments all sorts of cool stuff....

Wow never won anything this big before.

People helping people.

Some of my old college friends are doing this and swear by it. They've gotten their money back when they wanted it. It's an easy way to do good if you have even small amounts of spare cash (I know, who does?).

Rescuing a dog from the animal shelter.

We now have a 2-3 yr old husky, and named her Quinn. Now to get used to each other. :)

Too bad there isn't a flogging button. Then the next time they post garbage some gremlin pops out of their CPU and whips them with a cat o' nine tails.

Great. I hope she works out for you.

I'm not a "dog person" but I have grown fond of the dog we adopted.

Winter and Sun?!?!?

A vacation to somewhere Sunny and warm.

I moved to Colorado Springs not too long ago - the home place of Focus on the Family.

So, it's nice to know that, in such a place, there is a vibrant PFLAG organization looking out for the welfare of our (the city's) children. I've just joined it and am looking forward to helping out.

Scarab Sages

Woot! More chances to multi-flag a troll!

Thanksgiving. And actually taking the time to be thankful.

Enjoy it, all!

For Aberzombie, and all living disabled folks.

Nice find, by the way.

Cool! Welcome to the Springs!

I trust you have visited some of our FLGSs. Castle games and Gamer haven are 2 of my favorites. Have you found any gaming groups yet?

Getting my paycheck two days early due to the holliday and it having a nice amount of overtime pay on it.
