The Logue-O-Tron is unstoppable!
I fear I must concede defeat, having been awed and rebuked...
Come now, O Mighty Ghoul Lord, it's only a margin of 2 votes. Plus, doesn't that rebuke affect last only 10 rounds?
I have hopes that I'll gain a little ground and catch up with Rich. (hint, hint... anybody?) In the end, though, I know he'll leave me in the dust. Hmmmm. That vote I gave to Rich is coming back to haunt me ;)

Come now gentlemen - courage in adversity!
we shall fight logue on the beaches, we shall fight him on the landing grounds, we shall fight him in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight him in the hills; we shall never surrender...
courage, remember the words of churchill.
Come on Logue, do your worst!

YA!
::Nick rides onto the thread a-back his fire-breathing cauchemar and tramples Pett into the dust with a thunderiung guffaw, before tearing the Brit's head from his body and drinking deep of his blood::
There he is...
::Nick catches sight of the Ghoul Lord and holds his unholy symbol aloft, speaking pure blasphemy as Pett's blood dribbles from his mouth::
Cower before me Ghoul Lord...you shall serve at my command!
::Nick forgets that he can channel both positive and negative energy...see the Religion thread everyone...and watches as the Ghoul Lord is blasted into dusty oblivion by a nimbus of holy light...::
Dang!
YA!
::As fast as he came, Logue gallops into the night sky, leaving a trail of fire, tears, and broken dreams of glory in his wake::

My vote goes to Greer for putting up with this Paul Pharez, religious nut job. Apparently in this campaign Greer made this guy appear normel when the dude was apparently a whacko the entire time. Hell, he deserves at least 2 votes for putting up with him, but I only get to vote once.
BTW, these boards might make me as insane as Pharez if you guys don't fix this annyoying *flick, flick, flick* crap every time you open a page, try to post or whatever >:|

So many good authors to choose from. Ultimately I let my love of Greyhawk sway my vote. I chose Greg Vaughan who first caught my attention with:
"Tammeraut's Fate" Dungeon #106, 6th level, set in the Kingdom of Nyrond.
Since then I've enjoyed:
"Torrents of Dread" Dungeon #114, 6th level, set on the Isle of Dread in the Vohoun Ocean (aka Pearl Sea).
The Istivin mini-arc consisting of:
"Istivin: City of Shadows" Dungeon #117, backdrop
"Touch of the Abyss" Dungeon #117, 11th level, set in the March of Sterich.
"Shadow of the Abyss" Dungeon #118, 11th level, same
& "Wrath of the Abyss" Dungeon #119, 12th level, same
"The Hateful Legacy" Dungeon #131, 12th level, set in Csipros Erd, aka The Geysers of Death, in the Barrier Peaks near Bissel.
"Kings of the Rift" Dungeon #133, 18th level, set in Greyhawk's famed Rift Canyon.
"The Coming Storm" Dungeon #136, 10th level, set in a remote monastery in the Yatil mountains near Perrenland.
I anticipate that the finale to the Savage Tide in Dungeon #150, "Prince of Demons" will not disappoint.
Believe me that this was a hard choice. Baur, Leati, Logue, and Pett each had multiple adventures that I've remembered fondly. It was Vaughan's commitment to Greyhawk that gave him my vote.

I voted for him as well, though James Jacobs is probably my favorite. But JJ isn't on the list.
Anyway, I'm a Christian but fundies totally freak me out.

Does/ Has Willie Walsh done anything in 3.0/ 3.5? The man was a wonderful story teller and his adventures read like novels.
He's still around, Jib. In fact, he just recently sounded off here. He also had a few things to say here a couple years back.
Yep. He's still around and last I heard was talking about writing some stuff for the current edition of the game.

God bless ya, Torp.
And no, Torpedo is not my fake messageboards name. Though he did write me a fine bio.
Alas it is true that I have been much absent from the pages of Dungeon these last eight months...one Wandering Monster and an article with Rich in Dragon. So thank you for bringing to light the aforementioned masterpieces (true Erik and James almost entirely rewrote all of them, but they were kind enough to let me keep my name on them).
I sense the grass roots beginning of a rallying charge against the foreign influences of the "Islanders" Pett and Logue. True Logue tries to claim that this "magical" island of "Hawa'wa'i'a'ai'i" is a part of the Union, but then he still believes in the Tooth Fairy and Regis Philbin as well. So we'll let him have his little fantasies.
As for Baur, I was going to say something nasty, but this big guy just came to my door and broke my kneecap so I'll probably just stay quiet on that note.
And while "Prince of Demons" isn't set in Greyhawk (they wouldn't let me get away with making the Gaping Maw a suburb of Chendl), I hope you like it nonetheless.
On another note, there are 4 more Greyhawk proposals in the kitty, so here's hopin'.

Thanks Steve. I often wondered if a few good authors lost interest when 3.0/3.5 came out. Learning a new system as well as writing a great adventure can be a bit intimidating.
Of course, what you could do then is have two authors, one actually write the story while the other does the mechanical work (stat blocks, etc). :D

Once Logue sweeps this poll, he will achieve ULTIMATE COSMIC POWER.
Of course, ULTIMATE COSMIC POWER usually only manifests as a massive ego trip, so I doubt we'll notice any difference ;)
But seriously, had to vote for Logue for Chimes At Midnight, Chains of Blackmaw and Library of Last Resort. Those are among my favorite modules since I started getting the mag.

Thanks Treehouse!!! The sequel to "Chimes" is done by the way, and a little bird told me it is not too far off in the production schedule. I might try for a trilogy (in fact I just sent in the prop for part three of the Saint-Demain epic this very morning). Loved your blog my man! Great stuff!

Thanks. I'll be doing a massive update within the next two or three weeks. We took a hiatus from Eberron so I could run the first few Age of Worms modules, but we are going back to it pretty soon. Looking forward to seeing the Saint-Demain sequels, even though he got himself massively dead in my campaign.

Funny how every time a perfectly honest diehard Dungeon fan (like Ranger) votes for me, Wolfie gets a magic vote out of nowhere...even though only terrainmonkey has bothered to post their Wolfy preference. I smell bulls*%*.
;-)
He does have a very cool name. "WOLFGANG BAUR" sounds like someone who would rip off your arms, apologize for the mess, then beat you with them, whereas "Nicholas Logue" sounds like 1 of 4 things:
1. That dude in grade school I used to extort lunch money from.2. something involving spit that kids do as a trick to other kids.
3. a new winter olympic game.
4. Santa Claus's secret identity.
I say this all as a devoted fan who has nothing but respect for you, Nick. Just wanted to let you know that Wolfgang may be pulling votes just for having a cool name to read.
Shoulda changed your name to "DIRK JACKHAMMER" or something else that would sound more appropriate in the 1970-80s porn industry than in the RPG writing industry.
