Yeah your inside the ruins, You can make it out of the things reach as a withdraw, but not really any other way. Which might be beast as your down to 9 hp and if he goes after ya again it is possible for him to kill you. One round without the channel is not gonna hurt as the rest of the group is pretty solid on HP for now

Markhet wrote:

Markhet attempts to aid other on Larrs' attacks: 1d20-1

Larrs goes full attack:
Attacks: 1d20+6;1d20+5;1d20+5
Damage: 1d6+4;1d4+2;1d4+2

Wow I missed a another twenty by Larrs last night!

confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
extra damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

N'Djamena moves after the beast anyways, so there's no way for him to withdraw before the creature attacks again anyways, correct?

GM

Good point

GM

Kelden attacks the beasts but it easily deflects his sword with its weapon. Celena runs past Vrealk climbing up the slop and again hammering at the beast. Ayish keep up her song as Larrs moves across the dead boar biting the beast, it swings at Larrs as he climbs but misses the lion by a breath of markhets hair.

The beast with a roar slams his halberd into Celena32 hp hurting the Paladin badly, but she weakly fends off the sand strike and it's horns. Seeing the beast wound Celena Vrealk strikes at it twice, hurting the beast as N'Djamerna once more call upon the healing power of his god

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Next Round

Still singing to raise her companions spirits, Ayish moves (North one square) through the remains of the ruins.

She gets close enough to the wounded N'Djamena so as to cast her healing spell upon him.

Cast 'Cure Light Wounds':1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Kelden curses as he continues to press the attack.
Bastard Sword: to hit 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Bastard Sword: damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena takes another swing at the creature beginning to suspect climbing onto the current awkward position may not have been the best idea

Attack (funny story kind of forgot the bull's str till now Also assuming I have flanking)

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

Damage

1d6 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Climb check to remain where she is (if needed)

1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

always forget that bardic music bonus

Vrealk continues lashing out with his weapons at the creature ...

dagger 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
damage 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

shortsword 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Again Markhet aids other to assist Larrs:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14

Larrs goes full attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Larrs needs max damage on the claws to deal damage if this thing has DR/5 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Male Human Cleric 5

N'djamena will try to bring down the creature with a mighty smite.

(with flank + bard music) 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 121d8 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 9

GM

Kelden presses his attack, but the beast fends him off. As Celena still reeling from that last hit slams her hammer into the Beast, The she looses her footing and slides down the slop behind Vrealk. Ayish steps though the ruble invoking some of her arcane healing to heal N'djamerna of some of his wounds, Larrs Again bits the beast.

The beast withdrawls down the back ally made up of crumbling ruins and stone, N'Djamerna slashes at it but fails to land a blow. Up at the top of the hill four Gnolls come charging down the road whooping and barking like a ravenous pack of animals.

As the beast moved on you Vrealk and N'djamerna can still on this turn, so ya can post actions for this and next turn. Also Celna did not fall, she just lost her footing and slide down the incline is all. The climb check was to see if she would keep her footing on the slop

kelden = 14
Celena = 14
Ayish = 12

I missed on an 18. this thing is a tough fight. I'm happy it want's to leave.
Kelden casts Magic Weapon.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Can we still hear any screaming?

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish watches the beast man leave with trepidation, then seeing the mob of Gnolls running towards them she shudders.

"Should we possibly advance? Show these other creatures we are not afraid?" She asks softly, though from her posture and stance it is evident that the Bard is indeed worried.

Yes? The soulful cries of whom ever is in distress? Are they still resounding?

GM

Not that you can hear, but those gnolls are making alot of noise

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Now may be a good time to fall back." Celena responds

"Those dog faced dung heads will be going right through my spell effect. That will be a good time to take them out. I'm staying." Zealous is not a strong enough word for the look on Kelden's face.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Seeing the gnolls coming, Vrealk darts into the ruins directly across from the group, rather than go after the creature. He tries to find a place to hide, unobserved from the four hyena-men.

stealth 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30

"This is going to be fun." Kelden moves up to be the first to make contact with the gnolls as he casts Enlarge Person on himself from a scroll. "You go help the screamer. I'll be along in a short while."

Male Human Cleric 5

What's the current HP status?

GM

Forgot to update hp this morning

Vrealk=25[current 25 hp]
Ayishida=15[current 15 hp]
Larrs=17 [current 17 hp]
Markhet=32[current 32 hp]
Celena=41 [current 13 hp]
N'Djamena=30/ current 26 hp]
Kalden=31/ current=31 hp

Markhet spins Larrs around to face the gnolls. Quickly moving to top square behind the grease spell. The tiny gnome stands in her saddle to shout at the gnolls:

"Markhet and Larrs are here to kick butt and chew bauble gum, and Markhet is all out of gum."

Meanwhile Larrs again readies an attack for the first gnoll to come into reach.

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena uses his Silence spell to cast CMW on Celena.

2d8 + 3 ⇒ (6, 7) + 3 = 16

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish voice grows quiet as she stops singing. Seeing Markhet standing tall and throwing threats at the Gnolls brings a smile to her face. She moves around the dead animal and moves both forwards, towards Markhet and the grease, as well as towards the 'outer' edge of the raised path the group is on. The better to try and use her whip on the Gnolls flanks when they are within range.

I can't see any letters or numbers on the map grid...So I apologize if my directions are vague. *bows*

GM

Kalden casts a spell upon his blade and heads toward the descending Gnolls As Larrs sprints behind him with Markhet taunting the Gnolls with Ayish following them. Vrealk scrambles for a hiding spot as N'Djamerna heals Celna of some of her wounds

Meanwhile the Gnolls keep running right toward you

Celena

Spoiler:
You do know your smite is still active with holy power so the Beast is still near, and you may still take actions this round

Celena will use a lay on hands to heal herself

"You guys handle those Gnolls I'll deal with goat thing" she yells as she takes of in the creatures direction continuing to heal herself

1d6 ⇒ 4

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

New Combat Round:

Ayish sets herself and prepares t attack the charging Gnolls, readying her whip to strike. At Celena's call, she blinks, looks over her shoulder and calls...

"Wait what? You're going to attack that thing on your own?"

(O_o)

As the yips and yells of the Gnolls draw even closer, Ayish turns her attention back to them and prepares a spell.

Will cast 'Sleep' on the next round.

"If you mean deal with the thing we have severely pissed off and currently blocking our only route of escape if things go wrong then Yes." Celena yells back

If Celena is still within 30'
I can offer a bit of help if you'll let me.
Cast Enlarge Person on Celena rather than myself.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Pretty sure I'm out of range

If you move this round you'll be within charging distance for next round Kevin
Markhet will continue to yell at the gnolls but she will cast barkskin on Larrs

Larrs, with Markhet pulling hard on his rains, will hold his actions till the gnolls move.

GM

Celena could only move 10' this round as that first square at the building edge is difficult terrain, so she is right at 25' but then Kelden goes before she moved anyhow :)

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena moves forward (towards Markhet et al.) and readies an action to create a blasting rune (electricity) in the path of any gnoll that approaches him.

GM

Am guessing Vrealk is holding his action

Kelden casts his spell Enlarging Celena to human size As the Gnome Heals herself and moves toward the area the Beast ran too, Aysi move toward the edge of the spell and readies her whip for the Gnolls. Markhet casts a spell to toughen Larrs and holds the lion back till the gnolls are with in the spell

As Celena nears the edge of the building she can see the beast standing as if in deep though and sees the air near hip ripple as if reality hand became unstable. The suddenly there is three more of him and a quartet of roars fill the air.

One of the newcomers rushes like a great charging bull at Celena but it's horns miss her sending chunks of wall into the air in place of her blood. The second runs though the small ally coming up onto the main street as the third with a great roar leaps across the building unto the dead boar, shattering bones with a sicking sound as its body crushes the dead carcass beneath its hooved feet.

N'djamerna would have moved here, however he know had another beast right behind him, so may change his action here, normlly I would change it but as he will be online soon I'll let him do it :)

The Gnolls seeing foes in front of them and Bolstered by the New allies heedlessly Charge at the party though the unseen grease . Two of the Gnolls fall, while one attacks larrs,Having its spear bounce off the lions bark like skin. Larrs attack is also fended off by the sliding Gnoll. Meanwhile Ayishs whip cuts the other Gnolls face 4 hp and with a bark he Japs his spear at the bard, but the nimble bard easily dodges the hasty jab

And now new round.

New Round: (Fourth of combat):

Ayish grins, takes a five foot step back and casts her 'Sleep' spell upon the clot of foes before her.

Targeting the area of effect spell to fall upon the Gnolls and not the party.

Male Human Cleric 5

Uh oh...that creature was almost killing one of us each round, and now there's four of them!?

N'Djamena casts Cause Fear on the monster closest to him and braces for impact.

GM

N'djamena had an action last round as well, I did not take it as it landed behind you. So you can count the spell as last rounds action and post this rounds action as well

"You should go help Celena. I can handle these things." Kelden levels a precise strike against the closest gnoll. "Die!"
Bastard Sword: to hit 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
Bastard Sword: damage 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
includes magic weapon spell and favored enemy bonuses

Keep Celena alive. Her holy smite seemed to be able to put a real hurt on this thing. It just brought in some help, so it's a demon or a devil of some kind.

GM

Correction: Her smite really hurts the first one, the others she is not smiting as they were not the target of the smite. It only effects one creature

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Yeah uh smite only works on one creature at a time and I used up my only use for the day

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Actually, I was waiting for the gnolls to get closer. Unfortunately, everyone intercepted them before they got close enough to me. Que sera, sera.

Seeing that the gnolls are well in-hand, Vrealk hopes the new creature that came back on top of the boar wasn't paying attention to him. He moves back out and attacks, trying to keep to the beast's back again.

should be able to move at normal speed over the rough terrain and still get there in a move action.

stealth 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30

attack w/ dagger 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
damage 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 plus sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

I'll wait until the bad guys have acted before posting, if that's all right.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

"This what happens when we blindly charge in! Me thinks we should consider retreating out of town!"

Male Human Cleric 5

"If you have a good plan of retreat that doesn't involve loading our corpses onto a wagon, I would be delighted to hear it."

GM

Ya know would no one like to make some kind of Knowledge check on the "beast" Arcana, Religion or plans perhaps?
