This one-shot collection includes 4 Worldscape comics that were available during a Dynamite Entertainment Humble Bundle campaign.

The 4 issues included are:

Red Sonja: On a special mission for the Council of Jungle Kings, Red Sonja, Cave Girl, and King Rex explore a death-goddess dungeon imported directly from Barsoom. The trio must work together to escape alive with a religious icon of Issus, Goddess of Death and Life Eternal, to use as a bargaining chip in the grim political war of the Worldscape! Weird technology, degenerate Martian savages, deadly traps, and unexpected enemies combine!

King of the Goblins: Pathfinder's iconic anti-hero, Seltyiel, has been drawn into the magical Worldscape, where the greatest heroes and villains of three worlds do battle for the amusement of unknown forces. Unfortunately for him, however, whatever magic brought him here also brought four trouble-prone goblins, and these lost members of the Leechlegs Tribe waste no time in electing him their chief. Together with his unwanted band of madcap monsters, Seltyiel must face off against two of Earth's most sinister figures in order to find a way back home. Now if only his allies were a little more helpful!

Warlord of Mars: John Carter and Tars Tarkas suddenly find themselves speeding across the Worldscape skies in a Barsoomian scout flier in this bonus tale of their first adventure together in the mysterious Worldscape. After an encounter with a vicious red dragon, the two heroes of Mars crash land in a dangerous jungle filled with monsters and the greatest warriors of three worlds, plucked from time and space to battle each other to the death! But John Carter's warlike ways began long before his first adventures on Barsoom, and an old foe from the American Civil War is more than happy to make Carter's acquaintance once again. Old scores are settled at last!

Lord of the Jungle: The Lord of the Jungle travels to the interdimensional Worldscape and clashes head-on with the original feral heroes of mythology—the demigods Romulus and Remus! Tarzan must dare the Worldscape's perils, braving the Forest of Nightmares to free his friends from slavery and seek his destiny. The Lord of the Jungle meets the world of Pathfinder in this epic crossover!

Each issue also contains a bonus Pathfinder RPG appendix and poster map!

An excellent adition to anyone's pathfinder comic collection.

4/5

I'm not a large fan of 'stand-alone' comics, as I feel that only a few pages are often not enough to tell a story that will entice me to purchase a comic, and for half of this collection that holds true. However, the Red Sonja and King of the Goblins issues saved this otherwise-skipable special. I'm a huge fan of Red Sonja and a sucker, so I'll of course scoop up anything that has her name attached to it, regardless of quality, but I was happily surprised to find her special entertaining. Sonja using a gun is not something I ever expected to see, so it was a welcome addition.

Now, Goblins have always been a major selling point to me for many Pathfinder products, and the King of the Goblins issue delivers unto its' reader the wonders of temporary chiefdom. Everyone's favorite magus returns, up to no good again, but his wickedness is vastly overshadowed by the surprise appearance of *guitar riff* DRACULA. Ok, so it's Vlad the Impaler, but for me it's close enough. This was the best issue out of the entire collection, well-written, good art, and good balance between action and humor.

The others...are rather bland on their own, and I feel like they could have easily been put elsewhere, but I'm not one to complain about it. If you have a chance, pick this up!

Frick, I completely missed that this humble bundle was ever a thing ._.; I guess I gotta pay extra more to get rpg content on these four... Sigh...

Silver Crusade

Does anyone know if there's any new content inside it? Magical items, archetypes, feats, etc? Aside from the bonus encounter and map.

There is definitely bonus content -- I remember seeing a posting about some Pathfinder monster stat block that only appears in one of these issues. I forget what the monster was, though -- I think it was a Martian creature of some sort.

I know from pf wiki that each of them had magic item, one of them had white martian racial statblock and one of them has stats for Vlad the Impaler. I think one of them also had some sort of fishman race statblock?

Silver Crusade

Do they not do PDF versions of the comics? I live on another continent.

I believe so but you have to go through Dynamite's website.

I'm not entirely for sure though.

Comixology, I believe (though I'm also not sure).

That sounds more right.

Dynamite only sells the physical copy it seems and it won't ship till December by the looks of it.

Comixology doesn't have the one-shots. When I search up Worldscape on it, I just get the #1-6 issues.

Darn. Thanks though.

The one-shots exist only in physical form as far as I know.

Wait, the new humble bundle doesn't have any of the bonus Pathfinder stuff? So none of the magic items, archetypes, feats, weapons, nothing but the map?

Yeah, I'm assuming the previous bundle had them, but for some bizarre reason in this one only four new print only oneshots have them. I'm not sure if that is intentional or accidental, but thats how it is

I've asked some people on reddit who've purchased the bundle and they've informed me that the comics do have the bonus RPG material.

The bonus RPG content is included in the comic, but the map is a separate file. Did CorvusMask not realize that the bonus file would only have the map?

I'm talking about worldscape ONESHOT comics, the normal comics do have the rpg content in the humble bundle, but King of Goblins, Red Sonja, Warlord of Mars and Lord of Jungle were only 18 pages for me without rpg content included while the bonus file had the maps and posters.

I mean, guys, unless I made really bad typo in my previous post, I think it was clear I was talking about comics in this store page .-. Its pretty annoying if I have to pay extra for shipping to get print version for the rpg material since pdf version from humble bundle doesn't seem to have them for bizarre reasons

The Pathfinder Wiki lists the one-shots as being 24 pages and some of them are supposed to have additional RPG content, (Red Sonja is supposed to have statistics for white martians) but the Humble Bundle files are only 18 pages.

What gives?

I have the printed version of these comics. Each comic contains one map and four pages of RPG material. The comic files from Humble Bundle indeed contain only the comic story part of the books. The file "pathfinder_worldscape_digital_oneshots.zip" contains only the maps, both front and back. The RPG content is indeed not available in digital format in this bundle.

What Pathfinder content are we missing out on if we go with the Bundle?

White Martians were mentioned above.

Well, from wikipedia, one of them has ecology of "sea-spawn" and statistic and feat for them, one of them has white martians, no clue what third one has and final one has Vlad Dracul, Order of the Dragon and a magic item.

I sent Humble Bundle customer service a question about this, so hopefully they can answer whether this is intentional or not <_<

Silver Crusade

Ooooooo, those sound cool.

I was contacted by someone at Humble Bundle and I've told them about the missing pages in Red Sonja, Warlord of Mars, Lord of the Jungle, and King of Goblins. Hopefully they will sort this out.

I noticed the lack of RPG content in the digital Pathfinder Worldscape one-shot comics as well when I purchased the new Humble Bundle. We're looking into it, and I'll make sure to post an update here when I learn something more.

The gaming material for the first four one-shots will definitely be in the upcoming Pathfinder Worldscape, Vol. 2 anthology.

Silver Crusade

Thankies!

Also, nice avatar!

Okay! Looks like it was just an oversight when Dynamite was putting the files together. They're being fixed now and will be re-uploaded to Humble Bundle. Not sure of the exact timeframe on that, but hopefully not too long.

Sorry about the hiccup, guys, but you will get cool write-ups on sea-spawn and white Martians, and stats for La of Opar, an Oparian priest, and Vlad Dracul to play with!

Silver Crusade

WOOHOO! Thankies Christopher!

*hugs*

Thank you very much Christopher.

I've noticed an error, The Red Sonja one-shot reprints the sea-spawn information, identical to the one found in the warlord of mars one-shot.

I think the White Martian pages got accidentally replaced with the Sea-Spawn pages for the Red Sonja one-shot.

I just checked and the error has been fixed! The Red Sonja one-shot now has the white Martian material and the John Carter one-shot has the sea-spawn write-up.

Just out of curiosity, where can I find out more about King Rex? I've never heard of this character before, and he seems quite interesting.

King Rex was an ally of the Tarzan-like Thun'da, who also appears in Pathfinder Worldscape. Rex appeared near the end of the Thun'da run, in the final issue of the series.

Most jungle comics of the 40s and 50s treated their African characters like scenery, often giving them as many lines as are spoken by trees and elephants, just part of the local color for the (always) white jungle hero to save or fight or do something in front of. King Rex was a very different sort of character. With his magic axe (which appeared in an earlier issue of Thun'da), he's more than just a standard chieftain stock-character, too.

I really like this character and would love to do more with him.

You can read his origin story in this archive of public domain comics.

Enjoy!
